I'm pretty chuffed at the moment - I got Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band performing live in Canada in 2003 on CD today for $10. And when the All-Starr Band consists of John Waite (The Babys, Bad English), Colin Hay (Men At Work), Sheila E. (Prince), Mark Rivera (the Sax player for Billy Joel) and Paul Carrack ( Mike and the Mechanics ) it is quite possibly the most randomly awesome collaboration ever. But 'The No-No Song' isn't on the CD. Disappointed. Still good fun though

I have three question for Beatles Fans:
1. Has anyone heard of or listened to the song "Revolution 9"? 2. If so, have you listened to "Revolution 9" played backwards? 3. (And I don't want anyone to take offense to this) Have you heard of the "Paul Is Dead" Hoax? I, personally don't believe in it. I know that Paul is NOT really dead. It's just a stupid rumor. I was merely asking if anyone has heard of this rumor.

It was 40 years ago today that "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" was released; one of the Beatles' most influential albums.

The Beatles are arguably the best band ever, full stop. Of course it was Ringo that introduced me to them and does anyone remember the special Simpsons episode with Starr himself? One of my favourite songs is Yellow Submarine and I've found two varients of the song here. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xJsWXBeRevkuk.youtube.com/watch?v=C7Oc1qoqbtUHope you all enjoy!

Nice find, Halstead.
A slightly rare version of "All My Loving".

Was McCartney on the Simpsons in one episode?
Re: Halstead. "The Best British Rock Band Ever" title for me is a deadlock between the Beatles and Queen.

If I remember clearly I saw McCartney in the Simpsons episode where Lisa goes veggie and finds him on the rooftop of the Kwik-e-Mart with his wife. Sadly I can't remember which series it was though, I don't pay attention to the episodes anymore.

Yesterday I greatly expanded my Beatles collection; I bought both 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 (aka the Red and Blue albums) for $25 each. And they are worth every penny. 54 incredible songs. My favorites have to be Yesterday, We Can Work It Out, Day Tripper, Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, The Fool on the Hill, Octopus's Garden, and the Long and Winding Road.

My mom recently got a new digital record player, so she pulled out all of her old records and I saw that she had the two red and blue Beatles albums. It was really cool that she still had them from back in the '60s.

Well I mentioned that earlier on. The episode in particular was "Brush with Greatness" when Marge takes up painting again and Homer finds paintings of Ringo Starr in the loft. Anyway their portrayal of Starr in the episode is amazing where he's a trustworthy man who never ignores has fan's letters. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brush_With_Greatness

this thought just poped into my head, if wilbert and ringo got on well with each other and shared cigs then why did he stop narrating, i cant help but think if he had narrated the first episodes of duke and stuart and falcon, it would have been really good, best thomas narrater in history ( i belive)
the series was always best when it started, better engines, better music, better eps, famous and well loved narrater, everything about the oringonal series was better
