He left because he wanted to concentrate on his music again. He started touring with his All-Starr Band soon after he left.

Today I wore a John Lennon Tshirt to work, and the lady at the front desk told me she met John and Yoko a few months before he was killed.
I thought that was pretty nifty.

I'm unsure if this is in the right place but BBC1 have announced tonight that Ringo Starr will appear on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross at 10:35pm. I'm going to try not to miss it.

I've been watching it - couldn't help laughing at his acting in that film "Candy", but his new album Liverpool 8 looks really promising, and especially fitting for this year, what with Liverpool being 'capital city of culture 2008'.

BTW, forgot to mention this earlier, Ringo was also on GMTV (don't ask why I was watching it, because I don't know really ) this week where he confirmed that he wouldn't be reuniting with McCarthy during the Liverpool 08 celebrations due to tour commitments in America. Shame really .

My mom called me in the middle of my Visual Communications class to tell me about that!
EDIT: Anyone hear about how he walked off the Regis and Kelly show because they wanted him to cut down his song?
ANOTHER EDIT: Just got the album, and it's pretty good.

Whoa.... that was definitely interesting, Tim. It's a pity that the government wouldn't grant the permits allowing the Beatles to perform. I hope that Ringo and Paul will be able to perform.

Forgot to mention this, but whilst in Liverpool to watch a Football match me and my Dad happened to pop into the 'Beatles Experience' museum. I wish I could take pictures for you all, but unfortunately it wasn't allowed. Its pretty good. The main basis of its you walking through basically a loop round the building going round The Beatles story with a audio player (told by John Lennon's sister, strangely). Highlights had to be the John Lennon section at the end. After gawking at his 14 carrat gold spex (with orange coloured glasss!) the last bit you go into is a recreation of his 'white room' Its basically you standing behind a barrier of sorts looking into a white room with a white piano in the centre of it (try looking for it on Google) but what makes it brilliant is that they have 'Imagine' playing in the backround which makes the whole thing seem so...oh I dunno worth it really.
If your a fan go, if your not still go because its that good.

Anybody hear about the "Hard Days Night Hotel"? I saw something about it on the news while I was at the bank, but I didn't catch most of it.

Those clips still make me laugh, Tim! Those guys do pretty good impressions of Paul and Ringo.

I don't normally watch "American Idol" (not really my cup of tea), but on Tuesday night the theme was Beatles music. Some of the covers, including "If I Fell", "Eleanor Rigby", "Come Together" and "Let It Be" were really good, but there were some especially terrible covers, most notably "Eight Days a Week" and "In My Life".

You know, I wasn't a big fan of that girl's "Come Together" at all. Just sounded a bit sloppy to me.
I thought "She's a Woman" was the best of the night. I dunno why, but I just really enjoyed it. And I was glad to see that David Archuleta kid taken down a few pegs. How can you forget the words to "We Can Work it Out"?
And I think they're doing it again next week, Lennon/McCartney songs, that is.

Thought it worth mentioning.
