Oh lord, why didn't I see this thread before?! ^^'
Hehehe, I was brought up in a house that loved the Beatles ^^ I didn't really get into them until I was in my school's band, when during a private lesson, I was taught to play Eight Days a Week on percussion. I don't remember too much of it, for that was a time in my life I'd like to forget ^^'
Still, since then, I've been a Beatles' fan. I prefer their classic stuff, but thanks to a great friend of mine, I'm exploring some of their other songs ^_^ While in WA., I bought Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and had a great time listening to the songs on that CD ^_^
I'm hoping to get the White Album for my birthday, so I can hear Good Night, which is rather special to me ^_~
And as for my top 15 favourite songs...actually, in no particular order...
#1 - Eight Days a Week #2 - I Feel Fine #3 - Here Comes the Sun #4 - Penny Lane #5 - Twist and Shout #6 - We Can Work it Out #7 - Hard Day's Night #8 - She's Leaving Home #9 - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band/With a Little Help From My Friends #10 - Strawberry Fields Forever #11 - Can't Buy Me Love #12 - She Loves You #13 - Good Night #14 - P.S., I Love You #15 - Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds
There's many more songs that I like...but I can't think of them right now ^^'
Hee hee, once, someone wrote P.S., I Love You in a letter to me...it made me giddy as all can be ^_^

What was the name of Ringo Starr's band after the boys broke up?
Also, IMAGINE. Best. John Lennon. Song. Ever.

Yesterday, in symphonic band class, my teacher issued a piece called "The Symphonic Beatles" which consisted of the songs "A Hard Day's Night", "Yesterday", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", "Michelle" and "Hey Jude". My teacher even let me play the drum set on that piece, and I imitated Ringo Starr's head movement.

My current favourite song? I'm Happy Just to Dance With You! ^____~
On Saturday, I got a cool book at the mall's bookstore - The Beatles - Unseen Archives. I love all the photos, especially the one on pg. 136 - Ringo and Maureen look so happy together ^_^

I'm Happy Just to Dance With You is my all-time favorite Beatles song, too. I've practiced that one on the drums and have gotten pretty good at it, too.

I'm going to ask this, and I'm not sure if I should post it here or not, but what would you say are the best beatles covers?

I'm fond of the Sgt. Pepper's album cover, very interesting, if not a little complicated XD I like the Hard Day's Night one, too, for some reason ^^

I remember hearing Meat Loaf do a cover of "Yellow Submarine". I thought it was really good. Now, when it comes to bad Beatle covers, it doesn't get any worse than Michael Buble's cover of "Can't Buy Me Love".
