I have a question, I've noticed on the forums that people can like or dislike posts. Are these in anyway linked to our facebook profiles? Sorry if this is a stupid question :/

I was quite surprised to see SiF retweeting the SirTophamNWR account on Twitter. Is it a staff member that runs it?
Also sorry for the shameless bump, but I couldn't hide my curiosity any longer..!

No, it's a wonderful mystery which adds to the fun of following whoever the guy that runs said account is. If it were us, there would be a litany of ERS related tweets and it'd follow that line more than the one which SirTophamHatt does, which is more Railway Series oriented.

I mostly tweet about Owl City and participate in his Twitter interviews, but my Twitter handle is ShiningTime95. I may open up a more Thomas-oriented Twitter handle one day.

I hope that nobody minds me asking, but what exactly is the point of a Twitter? I'm not trying to sound smug or offensive, I just genuinely don't understand what people do with this website.

Depends on how you use it. As a political/news junkie I use it to keep up with breaking news & other political developments. It's also nice if you just want to complain or vent. So it all depends on what you're interested in.

For a long time, I thought I'd NEVER get a Twitter...but about a year and a half ago, I succumbed to peer pressure yet again: twitter.com/BobTobbsI'm here if you ever want to read some of my mildly funny musings, or some retweets of actually funny musings...OR, if you just want to have a private message chat!

I was recently turned onto the idea of Twitter being used as a wonderful form of advertisement: food trucks have their own Twitters now, and can tweet where they are and when so that fans can seek them out and purchase their food! I think it's an absolutely brilliant concept.

I'm genuinely curious and I'd like to know, to all the members who use Myspace, how often do you find yourself using it? I'm not trying to be condescending, but we all know that Facebook has certainly overtaken Myspace in popularity and usage. I was wondering if there are any special benefits or perks that draws one to Myspace over FB, or if it's a matter of using it for long enough that you become loyal to it.
