I'm absolutely amazed at how good the second film is. It's better than the first film by a long shot.
There's just one thing. I think that the race car, Nigel Gearsley (British #9) is a parody of Nigel Gresley, Gordon's designer.

Found this today. Someone painted an original two-door Hornet in a cheesy, "Disney" style colour. I quite like it, and how it's an original 51 (or 52/53) Hudson!

I must say that Pixar’s “Cars” is a movie that heavily contradicts itself. One of the big messages of the story is how towns like, “Radiator Springs” in the movie were negatively affected by interstate highways. Ironically, the characters delivering the message are the very machines that led to the decline and destruction of traditional towns in the first place. Traditional towns don’t even make sense in the context of that movie’s world as they were designed to accommodate people not automobiles. Suburban sprawls were specifically made to accommodate the automobile at the cost of walking, cycling and public transit becoming unfeasible. For example, residential areas and shopping areas are segregated far from each other necessitating the use of a car. The only thing this stupid movie with its plethora of sequels, animated shorts, and tie-in merchandise achieved was deepening the USA’s unhealthy obsession with the automobile. Thank you, Pixar!

You all are gonna be mad that I say it, but...
The original Cars film is criminally underrated and is a near-masterpiece on every accord. 'Nuff said.
