One thing that's been bugging me for sometime is: what is Ken Barrie's normal accent. He sounds so much like Ringo Starr I thought he was either a Scouser or a Yorkshireman. It's a northern accent of some sort to me.

I thought Pat was married before 1996. I assume in the series he's always been married. Sara first appeared in 1991 but she has appeared before in the books.
Angela Griffin won't be the first famous face to voice a Postman Pat character. Guy who voiced Ajay was in "Goodness gracious me"

Does anyone else find it rather worrying that Pat married someone who looks exactly like his mother? Ah well, I guess they wouldn't need new puppets to make this "album" (I've read elsewhere it's a short film, but we'll have to see). The crew could just redress the models of Pat, Sara, Julian and others for the photo shoot.

Does anyone else find it rather worrying that Pat married someone who looks exactly like his mother? Oh thank God, I thought that was just me. I was wondering on whether to mention it or not, but then I figured it opened up a whole can of Oedipal issues Pat might have. So I decided against it. Jeeze, Pat. Marrying a girl like Mum is one thing, but marrying a clone...

When you think about it, introducing Sara to his parents must have been an awkward moment for Pat.
"Mum, this is Sara. Wait a minute...Oh my God!"

Yeah, they'll probably be releasing the photos on the new DVD that's going to be out. I think it's called "Postman Pat and the Street Party". I've always wondered what Pat looked like as a baby, and I can't wait to see how Jess would look like as a kitten. Not like his aggrivating anti-big-nose self today, I hope! ;D And I'll bet my bottom pound (or doller for you Americans) that they'll introduce Amy the Vet in the DVD special, like how they introduced AJ et all in "Postman Pat and the Greendale Rocket". Speaking of which, I went on the official website last night. Found out that Pat is also scared of spiders (hah!), Mrs Goggins is Scottish in origin (I knew it!) and Amy will have a horse named Pumpkin (meh.) Oh, by the way, my favourite episode of Postman Pat has to be "Pat's Foggy Day". Simply because, in one scene, they wander into a barn and the BBC's sound effects department goes ballistic! ;D We should have a redub of that, then we could have Jess's reason as to why he went off in the fog. Probably NOT after rabbits, in my opinion!

What happened with the DVD Box Set of the First 2 series of Postman Pat that was meant to be coming out? It was supposed to have been released back in August, but it has never come out! Does anyone have a clue as to when that Box Set will be coming out (?), because it MUST be released sooner rather than later.

Series 5 starts on CBeebies on November 6th. The first 7 episode titles have been revealed: Postman Pat and the Bollywood Dance Sarah and Meera are practising a traditional Indian dance for the school assembly but Meera's sari has not arrived.
Postman Pat and the Stolen Strawberries Pat visits Dorothy who tells him that all her strawberries have gone missing. Pat saves the day, with a little help from PC Selby and his banjo.
Postman Pat and the Pot of Gold Pat and the other parents decide to brighten up the school by painting a rainbow on the playground wall. Meera teaches them a special song to remember the colours of the rainbow.
Postman Pat and the Greendale Knights Pat builds a castle out of boxes for the children to play in.
Postman Pat and the Fantastic Feast A famous chef disappoints the residents of Greendale by not being able to visit, but Pat is able to organise a great day.
Postman Pat Gets Stuck Pat finds himself in an awkward situation and relies on some furry friends for help.
Postman Pat and the Incredible Inventions Ted has some visitors to stay when Postman Pat's house floods. None of them sound particularly good, TBH, apart from maybe the last one. It'll be interesting if we get to see Ted's house properly. But most of the episodes sound like they'll feature way too much of the children, as usual.

I think that's the way Postman Pat is going to be from now on. When I was younger I didn't mind the kids. I wonder if Amy will get an introduction. Bonnie didn't get one.

Does anyone have a clue as to when that Box Set will be coming out (?), because it MUST be released sooner rather than later. Queer thing is, I ordered it on Play.com and suddenly, it became unavailable prior to the release date. Strange, but apparently, it IS due to be released at some point in the future.

Today's new episode, Postman Pat Gets Stuck, was rather good. Mainly so because it was the first one this series not to feature any of the children! ;D
Does anyone have any thoughts on the romance hinted at between Dr. Gilbertson and PC Selby? They've made quite a bit of it over the past few series. Personally, I'm thinking they might be building up to a special episode with their wedding (hey, it could happen. I remember reading about two characters getting married in Balamory, and that's for kids!). But then, it would beg the question - where are PC Selby's and Dr. Gilbertson's partners? They both have kids.

Yes you're right. I can see the romance between PC Selby and Dr Gilbertson. In the last series in that episode with Dr Gilbertson's birthday she gave PC Selby a kiss on the cheek and he blushed. Sarah (Gilbertson) and Lucy have a close relationship.
On one Postman Pat site The show was described as a soap opera which made me laugh. I feel a few parodys coming such as.
Mrs Pringle having an affair with Mr Pottage. Both have left Greendale to start a new life.
Mrs Selby being a notorious criminal. Her husband Arthur was the one who arrested her. Both got a divorse.

Chris, if you don't make a music video with that reel, I will be very disappointed. Funny, I've never thought about what Ken Barrie looks like before, but now that I see him, he looks exactly like what I expect he would. Strange.
