I hate to say it, but I want to see Coleman leave. I don't dislike Jenna Coleman, it's only Clara. She is a very good example of a creator's pet, basically Moffat's Rose. Moffat shoehorned into becoming crucial to the Doctor's life (one of her other selves picked the Tardis for the First Doctor? REALLY?) She seemed to barely possess a personality throughout Series 7, but thankfully it developed by Series 8. At the end of Death in Heaven, it felt like her character was given a fitting goodbye; butMoffat still saw fit to have her in the Christmas special! I'm sorry if this rant was overly emotional, just a raving Classic Who fanboy venting some rage.

"Rumoured", although the Mirror have been on the ball with their leaks before.
Bring back Ace I say, we need more explosions!

The Seventh Doctor and Ace are my favorite Doctor and companion, so I happily agree with the Doctor!

Yeah, it's kinda hypocritical since Moffat stated he disliked Rose, and now he created his own copy of that character. I haven't caught up with the new series since S6, but I did watched one of the episode from S7 and the 50th anniversary special. I'll probably get back into it since Netflix US has all the S8 episodes now. In the meantime, I've been playing some of the older games the BBC used to have on the site back during Russell's era. I still liked playing some of them. The only one I don't get is this game, called Art Attack, based on Fear Her. Basically, it play this loop of the song Kookaburra. I can understand why it's used, but why the flying heck they used the one from Barney & Friends? web.archive.org/web/20060712175017/http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/games/game11/game11.swf

Well that announcement adds to the creditably of those rumours since John Hurt is the first offical Doctor from "New Who" that Big Finish has the rights to.
12 hours of John Hurt audios? Oh yes please!

I'm honestly starting to run out of reactions at this point, so I'll just say that I've already pre-ordered the limited edition boxset version doodah and that it's wonderful to see Big Finish really getting the keys to the NuWho kingdom. Kudos. ... AAAAAAAAAAA!

i've no idea if this has been posted already but I remember almost crying with laughter when the 6th alien appeared in the 'Blind Date' line up from when this was first broadcasted so long ago on the BBC ( apologies but I don't think it exists in a better resolution ).
Are you a true Doctor Who fan? Lets see if you can guess right.

I'm a huge fan of the Third Doctor era, Jon Pertwee was a brilliant doctor & I also like Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor, Patrick Troughton's Second Doctor would be my third favourite, but I generally cannot stand the 2005-present series, I have tried to watch a few, but find them not to be my cup of tea at all, anyway I am more a fan of Classic Doctor Who then New Doctor Who.

Did anyone notice that the man was wearing..... blue ....... funny that, isn't it.

Theory:
Realising he couldn't defend the town of Christmas for much longer, the ageing Doctor attempted to use Trenzalorian technology to give himself an artificial regeneration. However, due to some miscalculations, the Doctor accidentally cloned himself. The Doctor's clone possessed all of his negative traits, as well as a different face. When Clara returned with the TARDIS, the Doctor used it to dispose of his clone on the planet Eta Rho. The clone later became known as the Valeyard.

I've got to say, I think Doctor Who has had a pretty good year this year. Peter Capaldi really hit his stride as the Twelfth Doctor, we had a pretty decent run of stories (only Sleep No More's experiment with found footage hit a dud note in my opinion) with a series of impressive guest stars, not to mention a wave of New Series characters making their way to Big Finish either this year or promised for next year.
The recent Christmas special was an improvement on some of it's predecessors as well - I always think that a good Doctor Who Christmas special should be a Doctor Who story at Christmas rather than a Christmas story about Doctor Who (please read: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe) so it was nice that it focused more on having a fun adventure. Plus it's nice to see River in a different light as well.

Just this evening found out a couple of funny reused sculpts on Doctor Who figures. The Rory Williams figure reuses the arms and legs from series 2 Nick Cutter from Primeval and the Third Doctor era Auton reuses a majority of it's sculpt from series 1 Captain Jack.

And so marks the end of an era. Moffat is out, Chibnall is in.

This is going to be a long year - no new series till 2017! Not sure what I think about Chibnall taking over, some of his episodes have been a bit rubbish in my opinion (the ending of The Power of Three annoys me to this day). Looking forward to seeing what Moffat has in store for his final series, even if it is a long, long way away!

It will be sad to see Steven Moffat go. He has written some great stories for the show and I must admit he knows how to make them scary too. My favourites from him are: The Empty Child The Doctor Dances The Girl in the Fire Place Blink Silence in the Library Forest of the Dead The Eleventh Hour The Beast Below The Time of Angels Flesh and Stone The Pandorica Opens The Big Bang A Christmas Carol A Good Man Goes to War Let's Kill Hitler The Wedding of River Song The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe Asylum of the Daleks The Angels Take Manhatten The Snowmen The Bells of St John The Day of the Doctor uk.celebrity.yahoo.com/post/137845486209/no-new-doctor-who-in-2016-as-boss-steven-moffatChris Chibnall should do a good job being head writer. He has written 2 brilliant seasons of 'Broadchurch' and is currently working on the third season. I've seen both seasons and I think he will do a wonderful job when Series 11 comes around .
