If I recall correctly, back in my very early days on SiF years ago- I remember seeing glimpses of Doctor Who mentioned by other users, even signatures with the 4th Doctor in them- and at the time Doctor Who was also being talked about in my school; but I didn't have BBC back then; so it's only since around 2011/12 that I've gotten into Doctor Who, and I love it. I even met Colin Baker at RI Comicon back in November, and he loved my photoshopping of his old rainbow suit into a smart black one. Speaking of old Sixie- does anybody here listen to Big Finish? They've done an amazing job redeveloping him from arrogant to more kind-hearted, and funny to boot- so he's finally become the Doctor he was meant to be. And on that note- some big news regarding his regeneration: www.bigfinish.com/news/v/coming-in-september-doctor-who---the-sixth-doctor-the-last-adventureI must say I'm very excited- since his exit on TV was rather anti-climactic.

I got into Doctor Who around 2012/2013, I have seen many fan videos/memes (such as Gingerpercy's vids,) and I took intrest in it so I started watching clips on YouTube and started watching episodes on DVD and Netflix, and now I am a Doctor Who junkie, whether classic or new who

GUYSGUYSGUYS www.bigfinish.com/news/v/unit---extinctionNuWho characters. In a Big Finish boxset. Is there a Kantrofarri on my face? Because I must be 'dreaming'. Eh? Eh? ...I'm wasted on you people. Srzly, this is a pretty great time to be a Whovian; official Doctor Who LEGO, a Sixth Doctor regeneration audio and now the first tentative steps towards Big Finish tackling the modern Doctors. Life is good.

Quite surprised to hear about this. The output from Big Finish has always been staggering and likewise, I'm looking forward to the Sixth Doctor's last adventure. I've not long finished listening to the second season of the Eighth Doctor/Lucie adventures and so far, I'm liking what they done.
Now that a strong element of the New Series will be in the audios, I wonder if we might get more of the same somewhere down the line with some Doctors?...

It is possible considering the recognition and hard work that Big Finish have put in. However, the fact that Doctors War to Twelve (yes, that's how the sequencing goes. ) are extremely dominant and largely relevant to the main show nowadays means that it would be even more difficult to gain the licences, with the exception of Destiny of the Doctor: Night of the Whisper. There's also the logistics in allowing the last five actors time to record the scripts as they are very busy men. All I'm going to say is, good luck getting Eccleston!

When I heard this news I literally danced around my bedroom for 5 minutes flat! I've only got into Big Finish recently so I've kind of taken an attitude of only buying the special boxsets from 2012 onwards, but these new UNIT boxsets might win me over to buying the spinoffs (or at least some of them). But then... This release... Could it be... 9/10/11DAs! Or would that be too much to ask for?

Ten years ago today, Doctor Who came back to television full-time after nearly fifteen years in limbo. I was 16, going on 17. Before then, my only real exposure to the show was a couple of Classic Series repeats I respected but didn't quite get, the terrific Comic Relief parody sketch and most of all, a BBC2 Doctor Who Night which also aired the (intriguingly bizarre) TV Movie. I was initially unsure what to make of the big comeback when it was first announced, but as more details came out and I realised it was going to be a continuation of the old show rather than a generic reboot, my curiosity was piqued. Then came Rose. Fanboy. Instant fanboy overnight. I can't quite emphasise enough how much of an impact Doctor Who has made on my life since that day. I binged on the boxsets. I hoovered up merchandise. I went back to the Classic Series and finally realised just what kind of glorious insanity there was waiting for me to discover. This show encouraged me to think about storytelling in a completely different way. It showed me that even spotty Scottish nerds like me could find success writing funny, freaky fantasy fiction. It made me feel positive about myself during the hardest and most stressful period of my life to date. At this point, I can honestly say that I'd be a very different person if there were no New!Who. Here's to ten years, fifty years and countless more to come. Geronimo.

10 years flies by so fast doesn;t it? I can remember what I was doing the day Rose was broadcast. I went to my local Woolworths (another much loved British institution that needs to come back!) bought The Mind Robber on DVD. So to be watching classic Doctor Who just before new Doctor Who came on was a fun day indeed! Here's to the next 10 years to come!

I remember seeing trailers for series one, and being the idiotic little kid I was back then, I was indifferent to it! However as time went on I gained a respect to the point where I am now a mega-fanboy.
Now as for the Lego sets, I am friggin extatic for it and I hope that it becomes a regular series of sets, hopefully lasting for a long LONG period of time, and I will definitely get the first set, so until then Geronimo and Allon-sy!

Hey, everyone. Guess who's coming to Big Finish:
www.bigfinish.com/news/v/torchwood
I didn't even like Torchwood and I can't help feeling excited about this. First, UNIT with Kate Stewart (which I really do want to get my hands on), now ol' Captain Jack and company. It's great to see Big Finish finally get a chance to play with Nu!Who characters and concepts and who knows? If these do well, maybe they'll be allowed play with the rest of the modern show's toys. Tennant did used to work for them, after all.
Speaking of Big Finish, I finally listened to Zagreus in full today. I've heard all the stories about this one, good and bad, so it's nice to experience the whole thing for myself.
What did I think? Weeeell...
Zagreus leaves an aching head Zagreus lumbers round like lead Zagreus leaves your mind for dead And too confused for weeping...

Great to see some more NuWho characters come into Big Finish. Wouldn't it be great if some certain well known Timelords were to reprise their roles like the others? Funilly enough, I listened to Zagreus years before the stories preceeding it and I remember enjoying it at the time. When I listend to it again in it's proper context, I still liked it. My main criticisms are that it does go on too long and some of the ideas for very "out there" for Doctor Who, but I was surprised how well it held up listening to it again after all these years. In other news, I'm ready to start Dark Eyes 2 and it'll be interesting to see where this ones goes...

Torchwood Audios eh? Lets hope this leads to the series return! And UNIT having a series, I've been hoping for a spin off based on them. If they make New Who audios with Doctors War-12, you can guarantee I'll be one of the first to order one with 11. I've only started getting Big Finish stuff and I currently own "The Auntie Matter" with the Fourth Doctor and Romana (Mary Tamm), I'd like to hear some with 8, are they any good?

Between the new Lego TARDIS set (saw the dimensions trailer too, more on that later) bachmann skarloey AND these new Big Finish dramas, there will be no bank account left.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Doctor Who lego dimensions trailer and its *wink wink* features

On the recommendations of numerous fellow fans, I bought and listened to the BF audio drama Spare Parts. I had a similar feeling after listening to it that i did after watching The Godfather - a quiet feeling of adoration.
This easily matches Terry Nation's Genesis of the Daleks in terms of quality. The personalities of the two races' creators seem well matched for their races. Davros is the insane megalomaniac, while Doctorman Allan is a frustrated, misguided alcoholic who knows the they're reaching the end of their rope. I probably not the best judge of good story, but I feel quite safe calling the Spare Parts a breathtaking audio play.

The episode titles for Series 12 have been uncovered in the new TV Guide 'Radiotimes' in the UK. They are as follows: Spoiler 1) The Magician's Apprentice (we knew that one already) 2) The Witch's Familiar 3) Under the Lake 4) Before the Flood 5) The Girl Who Died 6) The Woman Who Lived 7) The Zygon Invasion 8) The Zygon Inversion 9) Sleep No More 10) Face the Raven 11) Heaven Sent 12) Hell Bent
I don't know why, but I can see some sort of pattern in these titles. I'm sure this series is going to have some sort of mystery running throughout the episodes and we'll find out what's happening right at the very end. Also, some sad news for everyone. Jenna Coleman is leaving the show. uk.celebrity.yahoo.com/post/129206218129/jenna-coleman-to-leave-doctor-who-for-queen
