Henry's Lucky Day - not too keen on Henry returning to his superstitious (sp?) ways, but it still makes interesting viewing. Particularly like the scenery in this one, such as the valley where the landslide happens, and the frosty forest. Plus, seeing Henry and Edward together again makes nostalgic viewing.

Toad Stands By... the episode made more sense than a truck scared of coal. Both have some good characters in mind (Duck and Oliver vs Bill and Ben) so it's level on that one.

Make Someone Happy or Happy Ever After?

|
Post by stuart7 on Mar 1, 2008 15:43:11 GMT
Happy Ever After, definitely. This is a great episode, which, for once, doesn't portray Percy as an empty-head. In fact, it's one of the most underrated episodes of the series. I liked, also, how railway realism was blended in with Percy looking for the items to make up Mrs Kyndley's daughter's good luck package. These days, they'd've had him running round the Island looking for them on a whim. Finally, there was good humour with Percy being kissed and then Thomas teasing him at the end, which, as Ciremi said, demonstrates good evolution of the two characters. Pity we don't get moments like that nowadays.

Tricky choice, tricky choice...
Right, I'm going for 'Thomas, Percy and the Post Train.'
Not the greatest episode ever, but the music is the best part of it, along with the rare occurance of Railway Realism on Britt Allcroft's part, along with a good subplot between Thomas, Percy and Harold.

I think I'll go with "Snow" because I like the "story within a story" concept, plus it's funny to watch Gordon get hit by the snowslide.

Oooh, good one. Both are pretty good in my mind, but I think Bullseyes might just has the edge here. After a long absense, Daisy makes one final great stand. The dialogue is well written, aided by Angelis' brilliant narration here. Plus, that bull-fighting piece of music is class!
Haunted Henry v.s. Duncan Gets Spooked

As much as I enjoyed Haunted Henry, I'll go for Duncan Gets Spooked. The eerie music, along with Rusty's story, made this one of the creepiest episodes ever, coupled with Michael Angelis's shriek of "Noooooo! I'm asleeeeeeeeep!" at the end. One of his best moments, if you ask me.
Right - final one from me for tonight:
