Welp Pirates had a decent year, didn't get WC but still did pretty good, shocking WS results this year. Funt Fact: The Pirates haven't won a WS at home in 63 Years

I don't follow sports at all, but I support the Seattle Mariners for one reason. Well, one and a half. The half reason is that as a kid, I had a Mariners hat that my parents bought me and my brother only because our last name starts with S, and the hat was emblazoned with a big letter S on the front. The second is that the Mariners are the only team in the entire MLB to never qualify for a World Series. There are plenty of teams that never won, but the fact that the Mariners never even made that far just makes them an underdog I have to root for!

That's fair, if the Pirates never made the WS in there over 120+ year existence I'd still root for them and question how they never moved out or went under.
By the way, were you around for the Mariners 110 win season?

By the way, were you around for the Mariners 110 win season? If by "around" you mean that I was alive, yeah, I would've been about 10 years old in 2001. Whether I was a fan of them back then, that would've been a no. I was a Yankees fan back then, again, not because I had any interest in baseball, but because I'm a New Yorker and because they've won the most World Series ever, that's all that mattered to me at that age lol.

Kinda regret not being into baseball back when the Pirates were competitive those 3 years 2013-2015, on the plus side with McCutchen being on the Pirates for that run and due to his immense popularity, he's bound to be a hofmer for sure. As for the current state of the team, i think this is the year we FINALLY return to the playoffs, and then next year we pull a Kansas City Royals and win the WS in 2025, which'd be fitting considering we won our second ever world series in 1925.......just gotta win the WS at home, because the Pirates haven't done that since 1960.
