To everybody whom it applies. I'm speaking for all my posts on any forum anywhere, and I know I'm speaking for others also. Please don't take it personally... In short, I'm asking for everybody to stop 'liking' my posts. I mean it, please stop liking them. If you do like them, then please drop a comment. I don't post solely to get comments but we all like to know what people think, and in my case for better or for worse. Not to mention have a conversation once in a while. Since Facebook et al invented the 'like' button, it's created an opening for idleness and social retardation, not to mention most people click 'like' just to say, "Yeah I've seen it", whether they like it or not. RMweb has helped a little by providing different 'like' categories showing different nuances and messages within, but other than that, as far as I'm concerned clicking the 'like' button is as good as saying, "Yeah seen it, can't be bothered to talk to you". You might as well ignore at my posts and not even look at them because that's exactly how it feels. So again, and with as much respect as I can muster; stop 'liking' my posts and either comment and talk or don't do anything. Again, this applies to all my posts on all forums, not just here. it's a broad whinge. Cheers. (didn't know where to put it so hope this thread is good) I only like posts when I actually do think they're worth liking. :/ I'm honestly flattered when people like my posts, it doesn't happen too often.

(didn't know where to put it so hope this thread is good) I can totally see your point, Knuckles, because obviously with comments you get a full rundown on what someone likes about what you've said or done and at the same time get their points on what they don't like and of what you should do differently (whether its a project you've uploaded or just something you may have said that hasn't gone down well with others). The trouble is "like" (which is also on YouTube just with a Thumb Up, and a down one too) is that its easy to do, but at the same time you as the poster don't learn anything significant from it as to why "so and so" does or doesn't like what you've done (the obvious Trolls just do it to annoy because they have no obvious brain cells). I've had two Thumbs down on my entry for Reed.co.uk's Short Film Competition of this years theme "Ambition (granted wasn't the best thing ever, but would have liked a good comment on what they didn't like and etc). Then again... its like you go into a shop and the staff don't greet with a simple "hello, welcome to our store". Its not hard to do, but obvious the easiest of things to do is simply easier - but it would nice and considerate if you'd at least get some kind of acknowledgement of what your doing right and what your doing wrong.

Hello everyone,
Just thought I'd pop my head round the door and throw in a quick greeting. As some older members are probably aware, I had to bow out several years ago due to the birth of my son (now almost 4 years old and an avid Thomas fan in his own right), and while there have been more downs than ups since I "disappeared", I'm still alive and kicking! I hope everyone is doing well - while my Thomas time has been somewhat reduced, he's still a very big part of my life!
EDIT: Methinks I should update my sig...Jamie is no longer one year old!

Always a pleasure to have familiar faces drop by again, Kate669. Good to hear your little one is keeping well, and best wishes that they'll be more ups than downs in the near future for you both

Hi folks, just curious, when uploading a video, what kind of trouble do you walk into, cause I in all honesty wanted to upload a trailer, but VideoPad says this: "You need a license for VideoPad Video Editor Professional to build your project to the selected output format. The free version only allows output to .avi,.wmv,.asf and DVD." Does anybody know how I can diagnose this? I'd really appreciate the help.

There are plenty of tutorials online how to upload videos to different places and so forth. It should automatically come with the computer, in Accessories. Hope this helped SamtheJ72tank EDIT: Guys does anyone know what to do if some kids at my school are taking the mickey mouse since i may have been caught watching the missing christmas decorations in the spare time in I.T

Hi folks,
I've just received this message from another user on Youtube:
I'm fairly certain this is a hoax, for four reasons:
1) YouTube usually delivers their notifications by a bar across the top of the page, rather than via a message to users. They wouldn't rely on users to spread the message to others. They wouldn't need to, anyway - they could just send it to everyone.
2) There are several typos and errors in the message - 'Youtube' instead of 'YouTube', 'Rober' instead of 'Robert', capital letters in the middle of a sentence (e.g. 'This' in the first sentence), the SHOUTING on 'BE WELL AWARE', 'permaneately' is spelled incorrectly (should be 'permanently'). These types of errors are common to spam and chain letters.
3) If it was a real message, they wouldn't need to say so - the fact they have the sentence 'This is a real letter...' means they're trying to provide extra reassurance, and in a pretty transparent way. A real message wouldn't need that sentence, as the rest of it would be authentic enough to convince the recipient.
4) YouTube derives its income from the content generated by users - selling ads to go before videos to advertisers, etc. If they deleted their accounts, they would delete years worth of content and annoy the users who created it - essentially wiping out their source of income.
Cheers, WildNorWester

Well of course it's fake. I've seen lots of similar messages over the years and they all ask the same thing of the user. Just a couple of weeks ago, I was sent one with Facebook that claimed to require you send it to fifteen different users.
Falling for it is harmless though, as far as I know. Just a slight annoyance.

It's definitely fake, but I don't quite get what the people perpetrating this hoax gain from it.

Question, for those who use Windows Live Movie Maker, you guys wouldn't happen to know a good tutorial video on how to edit audio, cause my short christmas video has been delayed due to audio difficulty's *sigh*.

In that case, Kyle, I shall do likewise. A broad reaching Merry Christmas to all, I really hope you enjoy the day to come in the next 20 minutes and Good Luck To All In The New Year 2014. It's certainly possible after we've come this far!

1. Likes Pokemon 2. Likes Sodor: The Early Years 3. Has been know to say yaboo snubs in a light hearted manner 4. Likes Ponies *bloodcurdling scream*(AHHHH!) 5. Apparently scraps Lego bricks for a living. *even more bloodcurdling scream*( AAAAHHHH!) HAHAHAHAAA! Looney Doctor, you got me and proper! I know this shouldn't be a real Big deal, but I was personally interested to see how someone would approach me. Time to analyze the info: 1. Yes, after so many years without watching Pokemon since Diamond and Pearl, I decided to revisit the old show for nostalgic purposes. Originally, upon trying to watch B&W, I nearly had a seizure over the immaturity and just stupidness of the show in writing and conversation. XY has certainly regained my faith in the writing staff. 2. I came across WildNorWester in 2012. Feeling that the TTTE community was falling, I was inclined to leave the fandom, with Skullzproduction and Conorcon15 (Conor OConnell) having at each others throats, not to mention nearly ALL TTTE fans becoming Bronies. I felt I had enough. Before I decided to leave, I was going through some classic video's when I noticed two video's in my recommended, one was for EnterpringEngine93's series, and one for WNW. I watched WNW first, intrigued by the looks of "Useful Engines", it felt promising, I then watched that one season 3 episode introducing Alice, and I felt compelled to stay, it was a breath air towards the dieing community on YT, and I've watched ever since 3. Eh, towards the Freshmen at school, I actually no longer say that. 4. I don't like ponies as much as I did last year, LOL, it's just nice to have a community to fall back on. 5. YOU JUST GAVE ME AN IDEA SIR!

Sad news for Bob Hoskins fans: movies.uk.msn.com/bob-hoskins-dies-aged-71-his-life-in-pictures#image=1I remember seeing him in Rainbow which isn't one of his best works, I believe most people would remember for his role in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. But as with many legendary Actors and Creators who have left us, they shall always be remembered and their work will last generation to come. Rest in Peace Bob Hoskins.

Just here to pop in and say hello. It's been months since my last post, and, though my interest in Thomas and TUGS is lost more often than not, I still love both of them deeply and always will. If I don't pop in for a while, have a great Summer everyone!

Sad news for Robin Williams fans: www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-28749702Without doubt in my opinion, one of the funniest and brilliant actors to embrace Hollywood. It was on a few months ago that I watched one of my favourite scenes from one of my favourite Robin Williams films, Mrs. Doubtfire. I don't think any other actor could have done such a role as he did in Mrs. Doubtfire, then of course there's his voice of The Genie in Aladdin which is a film I haven't seen for years. But as with many greats that have left us, Robin Williams' work will live on and he will be remembered for generations to come. Rest in Peace, Robin Williams.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear the news about Robin Williams. He was an amazing actor, and always knew how to make people laugh. Yes, he will be missed dearly.

Hi all,
Just a quick question. I remember reading a term somewhere on these forums that described a 'general duties' engine. I.e. one who didn't have any regular routes, but just went and did jobs as needed.
I can't remember where I read this term, but I'd like to use it in one of my scripts and I'd appreciate it if someone could advise what this term is.
Cheers, Wildnorwester
