Lately I have started my Graduate Studies with my school and took a grad assistant-ship along with it.
Made an A on my first course, the second seems to be going well.
It is really heart pounding waiting for him to grade your submission and also when you send it through Safe Assign (Copyright and Plagiarizing Checker). I don't plagiarize or copy, but I do not want to be accused of it either. My current grades consist of two 100s out of five assignments.
I have to review six articles per assignment and then type up a essay or reflection on what I found and what I think. You cannot go wrong with stating opinions!
Either way, it is scary because if my GPA were to fall below a 3.0, I would go on prohibition for my job, given a semester to pull it back up, or I'll get let go!
Considering I have a 4.0 at the moment, I would have to fail this course miserably to get that.

I stayed up all night to find out my SAT (That is to say, the U.S. test used for college admissions) score, and it was finally uploaded at 4:55 a.m. The scores for the different sections add up to a grand total of 1960. A pretty good score I must say.

Hey guys, I was doing a little research and found out that older fans of My Little Pony are called 'Bronies' a sort of community name and I was thinking (not that it's any of my business) Why doesn't the Older Thomas community have a name so I did some thinking and i thought how about a sif (not S I F but a sif)
If this is appealing to anyone else pls let me know

This fanbase is so fragmented it would be difficult to hit upon a name that everyone would agree on that would ultimately take off. Personally, I find names like "Bronies" or "Potterheads" to be a bit gimmicky quite honestly. Happy enough to keep it simple with "Thomas fan".

LOL fair enough fair enough I've heard the terms "Brocomotives" and "Tankies" used, but both are so cringe worthy they aren't worth using. Do we really need a collective term for the fan base's members? Jack

For all the concern among Americans over the government's proposed anti-Internet regulation, your government seems to be even less competent, no offense.

I am happy to say that I have a 4.0 and I'm a 1/6th into my masters! Stressful, but rewarding all the same!

eh i guess, although this year is the year we do the subjects that WE chose, so i guess you could say it's a shame not to have a lie in for a while but another way of looking at it is that this year is my single ticket (no pun intended) to working on the railway in a couple of years time. So it's kind of exciting to think that tomorrow is the start of a year which could end up getting me the job i dreamed of since i was 3

I've been aware of this for some time now, but either today, yesterday, or tomorrow, I have been a member of SiF for 10 years now. It's really hard for me to comprehend that I've been an active member of a place for a decade - Heck, I'm surprised I made it this long to be honest without getting kicked off. I started out as some immature and entitled ten year old and now here I am typing this as a 20 year old junior in College, stubble and all.
I remember a lot of things, a lot of threads from the old board, I've seen a lot of people come and go, and I can remember back when we didn't have things like YouTube or Trainz or all of the fancy stuff we have now that I fantasized about having ten years ago. I feel kind of like an old man on a porch - I've never really done anything important (sans that Missing Coach remake that I'm trying to remake but I've kept having to shelve) nor have I had any positions of influence, but I've seen this place grow and I can tell you about things like everyone's reaction to the details of Season 8 getting leaked (You talk about people going into panic mode. Man!). I think I already shared my thoughts on seeing this place become what it's become last year at the 10th Anniversary of the forums, but I just wanted to commemorate my ten years of being here and thank everyone for putting up with me for as long as they have. Cheers.

Yeah, over 10 years, and over 2,500 members!
Such a number: A Thomas record, surly!

To everybody whom it applies. I'm speaking for all my posts on any forum anywhere, and I know I'm speaking for others also. Please don't take it personally...
In short, I'm asking for everybody to stop 'liking' my posts. I mean it, please stop liking them.
If you do like them, then please drop a comment. I don't post solely to get comments but we all like to know what people think, and in my case for better or for worse. Not to mention have a conversation once in a while.
Since Facebook et al invented the 'like' button, it's created an opening for idleness and social retardation, not to mention most people click 'like' just to say, "Yeah I've seen it", whether they like it or not.
RMweb has helped a little by providing different 'like' categories showing different nuances and messages within, but other than that, as far as I'm concerned clicking the 'like' button is as good as saying, "Yeah seen it, can't be bothered to talk to you". You might as well ignore at my posts and not even look at them because that's exactly how it feels.
So again, and with as much respect as I can muster; stop 'liking' my posts and either comment and talk or don't do anything. Again, this applies to all my posts on all forums, not just here. it's a broad whinge.
Cheers. (didn't know where to put it so hope this thread is good)
