About Charlton, They should never have got West Ham's manager in my opinion. They were another struggling team. I feel that managers resign or get sacked because everyone is frustrated and the chairman should do something before it's too late. Look at Leeds United. Once a team who qualified for Europe and did well in the Premiership. Now they're a team who have just been relagated to league 1 after finishing rock bottom. That's the last thing all chairman want.

HOLY CRAP!
Sheffield United 1-2 Wigan
I never expected that, I thought Wigan were doomed.
West Ham caused controversy when Tevez scored the goal to beat those Mancs and keep them up.

I'm a bit disapointed that Sheffield United got relagated. That means I can't see them play Newcastle next year.
I hope Blades get promoted next year and I hope we beat Roy Keane's Makem's too.

Oh yeah, Chelsea equalled Liverpool's record of unbeaten home league games (three years worth). They're gonna beat it, too.

It's the FA Cup final tomorrow. Chelsea v. Man Utd at the New Wembley. Kick-off at 3pm, live on BBC1.
I think that the FA Cup is heading to the Bridge this year. My prediction:2-1 to Chelsea.

...and I was right! Best 120 minutes of my life, capped by Drogba's superb goal. I almost lost my voice cheering after the game.

Lol, kudos to Chelsea for the cup win. I didn't actually see it but still I want Jose to stay in the Prem'. Come on, he's just so funny (when he's sarky espec'). Jose's Dog For the Win! ;D Nah, no offense meant by that. I'm just dreading the 'Rafa watches Spongebob' comebacks . Transfers anyone? Who, how much and where? Let the predictions begin .

I went to the Exeter City VS Morecome (I think that's how you spell it.) game at Wembley yesterday. The new stadium is great! There were tons of ECFC supporters there it was like a sea of red and white stripes. Unfortunatly, Exeter lost 2-1. Ah well. There's always next season.

I might be a Man Utd fan and most of them seem to want AC Milan to win. However, I've gotta say - I'm praying Liverpool win tonight, as Liverpool are British , and it will put everything right due to the fact the AC Milan shouldn't have been in the competition in the first place, what with the match-fixing scandal and all. How the magistrates made UEFA allow them back in, God only knows. Oh and by the way trainzfan, that FA Cup final might have been the best 120 minutes of your life, but that's because you're detached from reality, as it was one of the most tripe 120 minutes as an overall spectacle for the new Wembley. And please, please make sure you don't make any more of your unkind references to my beloved Man Utd in your parodies next time, as I think you're using them just for your benefit. I would never do that to you and you're no exception. I'm sure others on here agree.

Words cannot describe how I'm feeling right now...just gutted. Absoulutly gutted. We gave so much to that match and what for? To lose to it a cheating, uninspiring Italian team who cussed our tatics and team all the way to it. I can believe that we could not just score. We had soo many chances yet no goals except one. Que the sad music, I'm off to drown myself in You'll Never Walk Alone .

Hard luck to Liverpool tonight. They were the better team, and deserved to win. I suppose its a bit of the reverse of last time where AC Milan were the better team by far but still lost.
The decision to take off Mascherano was absoulotely ridiculous, and I think Rafa has a lot to answer to about that.
I know its too late to talk about it now, but after what happened in the Italian scandal, there's no way that AC Milan should have even been in the final. If I was a Liverpool fan, I'd be so pissed off at the pussy Italian FA right now.
But yeah, tough break for Liverpool. Was supporting them tonight.

If I was a Liverpool fan, I'd be so pissed off at the p***y Italian FA right now. Ah, but that would seem to be us looking for a excuse for our loss. In some ways its true, but it's just one of those things really. Nothing was done and we were the viticms. Agree with yer on the Masch' comment mind, I would've brought Alonso off all the way. Cheers for the support for tonight. As a Liverpool fan I'm sorry we didn't get a win for your troubles .

Well, OK, maybe not the best 120 minutes of my life...OK, maybe wait, scratch that, definately the dullest two hours since T&TMR was shown on BBC1 (Never to be shown again) and the game last night was a lot better. BTW, I'm not using football in my parodies until next season, as there aren't any good matches except June 1st (England B vs. Albania anyone?) @jbd-cheating's the word alright, this time it isn't just diving, but stuff further afoot... Oh yeah, Chelsea's first summer signing. Cue the jokes about bang going his career... news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/6681893.stmBeckham has been recalled to the England squad for England vs. Brazil

Well, wouldn't ya believe it. Itake one night off posting and find 6 posts about the Champios league final, but no-one's posted about the England game. Honestly... I thought it was alright meself. I thought Beckham made a good accountof himself, it was good to see Owen back in the team and it was great to see Terry score for the first time since August. Now all England need to do is to win every game from now until the qualifying campaign ends. Chelsea have signed Claudio Pizzaro from Bayern. United have signed Hargreaves.

Well, to be honest, I didn't watch most of the English match. I watched one half and that was it, got a bit bored to be honest... Despite that England did play better than in previous matches. They just got to get the press who constantly bring them down off their back and then focus on getting the results you need for Euro. But in all truth here, I know trainzfan is not going to be happy reading this, but they seriously need to consider dropping Lampard. And I'm not saying this because I'm a Liverpool Fan and Gerrards the captain and everything but he has not put in a good preformance for England since before the World Cup. Saying that, probably with the exception of Greece (I can't remember if he played in that mind...). Saying that, they could try Lamp's with Hargreaves, to see if it is playing with Gerrard (who both play similar games really). I didn't get the whole Beckham fiasco. I mean, people wanted him out round abouts the World Cup, then he leaves and everyone wants him back. He's defo' found his form again, no doubt, but it hasn't done anything for Steve going against his dicision. For that matter, Wales need Robbie Savage back, but while he's off giving Tosh' the attitude it's not going to happen soon .

Actually, they should try to alternate the squad. Have Lampard in one game, and Gerrard the next, or vice-versa.
Lamps did play against Greece, and he scored in that game.
EDIT: Last night was the Euro 2008 qualifiers. England beat Estonia 3-0, whilst Scotland beat the Faroe Islands 2-0.

AC Milan shouldn't have been in the competition in the first place, what with the match-fixing scandal and all. How the magistrates made UEFA allow them back in, God only knows. Very simple, ringo86, very simple. The Italians play a form of off-field football which employs the 4-5-1 formation, to make use of whingers and whinge-backs. Whenever anything goes against them, the whingers go up and join the attacker, and after persistence the guy changes his mind and lets them back in. Come to think of it, that happens on the pitch too with Italians... Not to be confused with Jose Mourinho's 2005 tactics, which used wingers. Opening day fixtures! Arsenal vs. Fulham Aston Villa vs. LiverpoolBolton vs. NewcastleChelsea vs. Birmingham Derby vs. Portsmouth Everton vs. Wigan Man Utd vs. Reading Middlesbrough vs. Blackburn Sunderland vs. Tottenham West Ham vs. Man City Teams supported by SiF members are in bold. One week afterwards, there's the first top 4 clash-Liverpool vs. Chelsea. And the second is on the 22nd of September: Man Utd vs. Chelsea.
