Chelsea will be heading for the first ever quadruple. Actually, the quadruple HAS been done before - albiet in Scotland. Celtic won the Scottish League, Scottish FA Cup, Scottish League Cup and European Cup in 1967, ironically the year before Manchester United won the European Cup. So Chelsea will be the second British club ever to do the quadruple if that happens.

Oh those sneaky Chelsea fans robbing Celtic's joys... (I kid, I kid ). Just to bring some discussion into this board, if your club's manager got sacked with no real reason, who would you like to take over? Well seeing with Liverpool's recent run of forgien managers, I wouldn't mind seeing a home-grown one coming in myself. Aidy Boothryood I, personally, would welcome if he had that bit more experience. He did well with Watford considering he took over them while they were in a whirl of trouble (I think they were anyway...I can't remember ). Maybe bring in Coleman in then as a assistant (he is one of the best young managers in England at the mo, despite the unfair Fulham sacking) then add a experienced man to do a oversee-er role (abeit like the Bobby Rob' role at Ireland now). So yeah, who would you like to take over?

Hmmm... good question JimBob. Well first of all, if Aidy got sacked, I'd fall to my knees start crying, and be all like "WHY??!!!!!". Because we were about to go down to League 1 before he took over, so it would take one hell of a manager to top him for us! If it could be any manager, I'd go for Guus Hiddink (sp?). He's done brilliant things in his career with South Korea, Holland, and Australia, and he seems to me like he's someone who can motivate and get the best out of his players. I really wish he had taken the England job, as opposed to Steve "I've got such a creepy smile ;D " Mclaren. Aside from him, I'm not really sure. Mourinho and Wenger have obviously had great careers and are very talented managers, but they do shout their mouths off a lot off the pitch, and to be fair, when it comes down to it, they're both t**ts. If any of the above would be unavailable, I'd fancy my chances of managing Watford. I mean, I got them into the top ten in the Premiership on Football Manager

You just knew I was going to comment to this...you just knew it. It was calling out to me to type a reply . Yeah, 1-0 lead. Doesn't mean your going to get through. Just remember your at Anfield though. The ground thats not fancy. The ground that does not need a fancy big hotel. The ground that does have four corners. The ground that isn't seen much in the ways of a fancy ground. But a ground that has Liverpool pride and spirit. A place that will be full to the brim of shouting fans, singing the words of 'You'll Never Walk Alone' while you lot are stuffed into one titchy corner of the stand opposite to one of the most feared stands in the world. A stand that I myself have stood in the middle of and have stood in awe of the might of it. Four words, trainzfan, four words. ;D Jose Fears The Kop ;D (Yeah...I'm pretty passonate when I want to be me ).

Tonight is the night Chelsea reach the final of the Champions league. Whoops, you lost. What a shame. Jossie won't be happy now... "Not 'appy, lads, not 'appy. 'aven't time for a cup of tea and a Kit-Kat." quoted from Big John Gaffers, my PE teacher.

Well.... Have to admit, I didn't see that coming. Have to admit, after the one goal defecit, I wasn't seeing Liverpool getting through tonight. Thought that Chelsea would simply frustrate them. But its quite amazing Liverpool are in the final AGAIN! The match itself wasn't really anything special, neither team really outshone the other in my opinion. It was very scrappy, and the way it panned out, you could just tell it would end in penalties and it would be down to the team's composure. But well done to Liverpool. Are they about to make it 6?

JBD, Jose fears the kop, but the entirety of Europe fear the Shed. Particurlarly as every Chelsea home game has got "Home win" written all over it even before kick off. So....
;D Everyone fears the shed ;D
Just for the record, the final will NOT finish 3-3, it WON'T go to penalties, and AC Milan will win it. 2-1's my prediction

Away from football matters for a change (at least until this weekend), I went to watch the Premier League Darts last night in Birmingham. It was fantastic - anybody watch darts?

WE WON!!! Holy crap! I don't believe it! I support Watford, and we've Finally beaten Reading. Since they're doing so well this season, most of my mates support them, and boy have I had the p!ss ripped out of me for that! (conisdering Watford are relegated ) But today, despite both our goals being ridiculously fortuitious, and depsite us being by far the worst team, we beat them 2-0!!! I am so happy right now! And I'm going to have bragging rights until the next time we play them (which may be quite a while) Also, Man United won again today to put them 8 points clear of Chelsea! Now Man Utd have won the title if Chelsea fail to win against Arsenal! I think its pretty much in the bag for the reds!

Well done to your beloved Watford for winning away at Reading yesterday Davey. Oh, and by the way, congratulations to Man Utd - Premiership champions for the first time since 2003.

Cheers Ringo86 And well done to Man United. To be honest, at the start of the season I thought it would be all Chelsea this year, but Man Utd have been absoulotely fantastic. Although I feel a bit sorry for Mourinho to be honest (even if he is a bit of a gobshite) because the signing of Shevchenko was blatantly not his idea and to be honest Shevchenko's presence did unbalance the team. And consequently meant they were nowhere near as good as last year to be honest. But as I said, Man United have been brilliant. And although I hated him at the start of the year, Ronaldo has been amazing for them. So well done to United. And next week at Stamford Bridge, as Man Utd are Champions, I believe that means Chelsea have to clap them onto the pitch. That'll probably p!ss Jose off good and proper!

I'm a Newcastle United fan and life as a Newcastle fan is never boring. Something is always happening. We're not doing very well at the moment. If we loose to Watford next week I doubt Glenn Roeder will around much longer.
I think the best Newcastle player of all time is Alan Shearer.

Just seen this on BBC News. You're right OJ, never a dull moment at Newcastle "Roeder resigns as Newcastle boss. Roeder took over as boss on a two-year deal in May 2006 Glenn Roeder has resigned as manager of Newcastle United, reports Five Live. The Magpies have had a torrid time with injuries this season, finishing 13th in the Premiership and failing to shine in the cup competitions. Newcastle have not scored a league goal at St James' Park in over eight hours of playing time, which is their worst run since 1951. Roeder and chairman Freddy Shepherd came under fire from fans after their home defeat by Blackburn on Saturday. The club are yet to confirm 51-year-old Roeder's departure, although are expected to do so within hours. Roeder spent 15 months in charge at St James' Park including his spell as caretaker." Really surprised to see that happen to be honest. Newcastle haven't exactly had a great season, but I'd put that down to injuries more than anything. I would fully expect them to improve and evolve from next year. Hopefully more info should come soon.

I really hope we get a good manager. Sam Allardyce and Sven Erikson have been mntioned. I don't want Shearer to take over just yet. In my opinion Freddy Sheperd should never have sacked Bobby Robson years ago. Appointing Souness was a huge mistake. This is where our bad run started. Bobby Robson made us a good team again after some time. It's interesting to note that Freddy Sheperd sometimes gets called The Fat Controller. ;D
About Glenn Roeder's departure, Us fans were just frustrated that's probobly why he resigned.

Big Sam for the job. Has to be. If Shep's can get his brain in gear and actually give him the time, I assure you Newcastle will once again become a top team. He's been panicking recently. Bobby, bad start. Souness...well that sort've says everything . And Roeder...blimey you've been unfairly treated .

I hope so JimBobDunnie.Big Sam could do a good job. I remember when Souness was appointed. His name wasn't mentioned until he was appointed so it was a surprise to me. Plus Sheperd was telling everyone it was the next manager would be a Geordie.
I saw Newcastle play Sheffield United (my local team. I only support Newcastle as that is my family background. I guess Blades and Wednesday would be my numers 2 and 3 teams) last month and we won 2-1. Blades weren't very good at all.

Lol...and we drew with them on the first game of the season . I saw the Manchester United reserves play Newport County once...it was when some development 'Feeder Club' deal was signed. We've actually had nothing from them since the match . Gave me a chance to see Kieron Richardson when he was on the verge. Its amazing to think I saw him there in a run down stadium against a team of part-timers to now playing against the likes of Arsenal, AC Milan, Roma and the like. We lost the match 1-0. TBH, I was thinking 'Hah, Man U are going to be swamped by the local support. They'll be blown away'. I was only one of the few people in County colours in my stand .

If there are any SiF members on here who are Charlton fans, this is the news you've been dreading - Charlton Athletic have been relegated from the Premiership after a 7-year stay thanks to a 2-0 home defeat against Spurs tonight.
How do you feel about it? I might be a Man Utd fan, but I've gotta say, if Iain Dowie (their first manager) had stayed on, maybe it would have been a happier story.
