I have severely limited guitar skills, even after four years of playing. My friend and I formed a comedy band (before we even knew how to play) called Flying Naked Cherubs. We were actually gonna put together an album, but we decided it was too lame. Our songs focus mainly on offending the crap out of you. You can check us out at www.myspace.com/flyingnakedcherubsFor some reason, the songs on our profile were deleted. We're thinking hackers, but it could be a number of things. Our account had been inactive for quite some time, so maybe that had something to do with it. I also recorded 12 or 13 little ditties in my spare time about two years ago, so I decided to make a myspace for those as well. I have gone under the alias "Hawin Faarkey," which is Sudric! Haha, lame, I know. What is that? "River Sea"? Haha, ah well. Here it is. www.myspace.com/hawinfaarkeyI apologise for them, for they are crap.

I hit Grade 8 on Euphonium, 6 on piano, and am learning to play the B-flat tuba (the bigger version, 'cos I'm a big guy). I also occaionally play the piano accordian.

I have just recieved my first (incrediably out of tune, and somehow stained) electric guitar of the man known as brotherDunn. Hopefully when I get it going again (the bD has said he will get in tune for me and that) I'll be able to learn .

I play the fiddle (violin) and the acoustic guitar. Not too proud of them though. I'd rather be a DJ or a Drummer, you know. Something that gives a beat, not some stupid rythem made when people still wore fluffy white wigs.

Lol, whats wrong with the acoustic guitar? As it turned out last night it would now appear I have some more inspiration to continue learning the guitar...I've joined a band as a rhythm guitarist. Thats not all, I'm the bleedin' vocalist! I dunno what thought went into that, as I've always considered my voice to be very monotone and generally bad, but fairy enoof I suppose. I give the band 5 weeks until I start doing a Gallagher brother and start throwing everyone out .

I'm one of the few people I know in my neighborhood that is musically talented. My forte is in piano. It's a lot more natural for me to play the piano than it is brass or woodwind instruments. I also play a bit of keyboard to. Recently, I hooked it up to a MIDI synthesis module and as a result I get a truckload of instruments to play now. I also play a bit of guitar. Mostly acoustic, some electric. I can't say I find a passion for it. I would love to learn more songs, (as of right now, I only know one full song), but I think I should stick to piano. We can't all be Jimi Hendrix or ChrisTheXelent now can we?

Update with the Guitar: Started to get some lessons (I know I've sorted cheated...but I was getting no-where teaching myself ) and in a space of a few weeks I'm proud if anything how far I've come in terms of improvement. Despite suffering from small finger-itus (as I call it) I've overcome that and almost play the whole of Wonderwall (which, btw, to anyone starting out learning the guitar is a brilliant, easy song to learn to begin with). But honestly, and I hope Chris the Xelent takes this as an compliment from me, eventhough you can tell if someones good at guitar or not, you don't realise the extent of how brilliant some people with regards to guitar playing until you try yourself. Believe me.

Excuse me for hashing up an old thread, but being a wanna be Bass Trombonist... I love the low range on the bass trombone. I am a tenor player, but I want a bass, but the basses cost $3,200-$5,200 and thats a lot! I can already play the ranges of a bass, but its a dream!

Good timing. ... I'm thinking of taking up the harp. The harmonica. I've found a learner's kit and a decent 'harp' on Amazon already. I'd love to be able to pick up a tune within a couple years, but I don't know. Once I'm paid next month and I've paid my bills and debts off, I'll shell out.

I thought I was the only one! Anyone been in MARCHING BAND? Boy, now thats intense. We played everybody's everything this year and I was on the 50 and up front! I sort of "glisses" the part. I'm in my school's marching band, and we also won New York State Championships for Class AAA. My Rookie Year too!

I'm not sure if anyone from SIF will like this, but I have been producing music since 2005, and have had two albums out, and a few singles/e.p's (including a digital single on the legendary Skint Records). My music style varies between Fatboy Slim style Big Beats, Funky Dance tunes and Slow, Ambient and Downtempo grooves. I play drums, guitar and piano. I find acoustic covers VERY soothing for me.

I half wanted to record a death metal/grindcore album about trains just for the fun of it. However this never came into fruition so it was shelved like every other musical project I thought of.

I've been playing Trumpet since middle School, I really do love playing it (especially Jazz Trumpet) last year I got an Old Holton Llewellyn at a Thrift shop and it plays beautifully! I've also been marching in a local drum and bugle corps (not one of the major ones mind you, we don't do competitions anymore) which is also super fun
