Netflix UK has all the seasons available apparently. Dino Charge is in that lull where it has started broadcasting in the US on weekly basis but the British haven't had it yet.
For about 10 years now, the UK have had it Autumn (Fall) schedule. Then it plays daily & beats the Americans to the finale.
One of them was embarrassingly finishing the two part finale, the day before it started in the US.

Well, that seems rather interesting. If I ever find the time, I might watch a bit of Dino Charge. Perhaps it'll be good and perhaps it won't. Who knows?

Sorry for the bump but I feel I had to write this down.
As insane as it sounds, I really think HIT should adapt Toqger.
Many companies are going to be afraid of going into competition against Thomas but Mattel wouldn't. HIT wouldn't be afraid to make an all singing all dancing Sentai like preschool show. The imagination theme running through the series would sync up with the Imaginext toy line (which has a MMPR line) The zords are blocky which would help a preschool toy line.
Ok, might need the odd edit, reshoot or rewrite but that's nothing that hasn't been done before.
I'd change a few things: Explosions to smoke Monsters end their days in holiday postcards (They get collected). The mecha are talking models (Go-on engines?) on scale track at the base. Leave via tunnel to form the Megazord. With that in mind, base is now a UFO.

So in case anyone doesn't know, the first teaser trailer for the new Power Rangers Movie is out:
Now I'll admit, it has a feel of everything seen before i.e. as someone commented on a Facebook group I'm apart of, a Michael Bay / Zack Snyder hybrid of the Transformer movies and of course the DC Cinematic Universe - mixed with the 2015 Fantastic Four.
But what draws me in is definitely Elizabeth Banks' portrayal of Rita Repulsa, though only a cameo and a one liner. I do want to feel optimistic that it'll be a good movie, I fear it could go down the road that Dragonball Evolution went down (but fingers that it doesn't) and yes I know its only a Teaser.

I'm interested by the trailer as well. I do hope it's good and using the original as a basis is a good move and so was getting Bryan Cranston to be Zordon. as I said in the shout box it looks like darker version of John Hughes Breakfast club meets Josh Trank's Chronicle.
P.S Comparing it to 2015 Fantastic Four is not a good thing. Not only was that a box office disaster but that trailer was good but it turned out to be a really dull awful film.

Dragonball Evolution? In my mind there is just about no way this movie could suck this bad and it better not. I'm counting on the writers having actually watched the show and done some research. For what it's worth, one of my biggest draws to Power Rangers is its kind of lame but actually has better, stronger mythology than Transformers or even some of Marvel's properties. The biggest part for me is staying true to the mythology of Power Rangers or it had better come up with a very good alternate interpretation of it. I like alternate mythologies and alternate takes but if I don't feel any since I'm someone who gets into things on the mythology level I'm going to walk out of that theater really disappointed.
I'm torn on the aesthetics of the trailer because while I knew it was going to go for a darker look because Dark equals Mature and Cool and I kind of dislike that because it feels so generic to every other superhero movie it does feel in the spirit. I do get some retro, campy vibes from the trailer. It's funny to hear Chronicle comparisons particularly with how mad it's making Josh Trank.
The other thing I'm looking forward to and Power Ranger's main legacy component is the soundtrack. I think Power Rangers helped shape my taste for music. It still rocks some sick metal. I hope the soundtrack is geared that way instead of modernized into mainstream music. I'm curious to see if any classic tracks like I Will Win or even the long version of the theme song will get covers and by whom.
I am really looking forward to this movie and am cautiously rooting for it. Not only to get a great Power Rangers movie franchise going but I'm hoping if Power Rangers is successful it will breath new life into others 90s properties just waiting for some time of the big screen. In particularly the book series that decontructed the Wake up, Go to School, Save the World stuff like Power Rangers, Animorphs. The optimal time of an attempt at an Animorphs movie set is along side Power Rangers.

So, dusting off this thread. Has anyone been keeping up with the toy reveals and pics coming out? Alot of people seem put off by the look of the Megazord toys. It's certainly different and not at all like traditional Japanese mecha ala Gundam nor does it look like a Jaeger (Pacific Rim) although I'd say there is some resemblance to Evas (Evangelion). I like the 2017 Megazord though. It's all kinds of cool that looks ready to whoop some butt. I like how they did infact stylize the devil horns in. I don't think the original boxy shaped Megazord would have lent itself well to CGI although the individual zords surely do and it needed an update. The teaser pics put out of the individual Rangers perched on their zords are all kinds of interesting. The Triceratops Zord looks particularly amazing. The Rest of them are hard to make the shapes out of. I'm really interested to see how Sabertooth Tiger will turn out in CGI and if it will be a sabertooth at all. I can't make out the saberteeth on the power coin. I've seen wild speculation it'll be based on Homotherium (Scimitar Cat) or even Panthera Atrox (Prehistoric American Lion) rather than the more recognizable Smilodon looking Sabertooth Tiger.
Man though, Alpha 5 does look terrible. Like the demonic love child of the lamp from Brave Little Toaster crossed with a DUM-series (That's literally what they are called, Google them) pit droids from the Star Wars prequels which have a superficial resemblance to the Alpha robots anyways.
Rita looks more awesome in every picture and video clip. Reminds me of both Astronema and Dulcea in one shot while seeming totally unique. Just the right look for more credible villainess which a movie needs.

New Power rangers trailer is here and I can honestly say it's much better than the last one we got. This looks like what a darker version of the show would look like. So I am now a little bit more optimistic for it.

So I am now a little bit more optimistic for it. Now I'm more optimistic, this trailer seems better than the first one - granted there is a lot more Ranger action without spoiling it too much, and I've got to say that Bryan Cranston is definitely a pretty decent Zordon (granted you can't beat David Fielding's original portrayal). Now whilst some may say it looks more like Transformers, Marvel and DC all muddled together, my downside is the music to the trailer. Shame they couldn't have developed a modern day cover of Go Go Power Rangers, after all that is there theme song, instead of some random crap that you hear in very much every Superhero film trailer in the modern world. If Star Wars trailers can still have essence of themes in their trailers, then why can't other franchises that have their own iconic theme songs (yes I know its just a trailer, and we'll probably get an essence of Go Go Power Rangers come the movie's release). But fingers crossed though.

My biggest problem with trailer number 2 is the Kanye West song they used which is in pretty much every trailer. To me Power Rangers music legacy is metal. I hope to hear a lot of it in the movie. But, I know it's probably going to go the mainstream route since this movie seems like it's really going to be geared that way to appeal to new fans. And this article popped up on my phone www.polygon.com/tv/2017/2/9/14567016/castlevania-showrunner-power-rangers-r-rated-reboot. Warning there is an f-bomb in this article. I do have reservations about the movie being too dark and gritty. I don't really like this "R" rated idea. I wasn't a fan of the Power Rangers Unauthorized. It's fine to make Power Rangers more adult but to make it dark and gritty misses the mark and one of the appeals of Power Rangers IMO. Not everything needs to be all grimdark. It's interesting Dragonball Z is mentioned in this because I don't really see Dragonball as being that dark.

I'm just going to jump in here really quickly, but, if anybody hasn't checked it out yet, the Boom Power Rangers comic is really REALLY good. The DC Justice League/Power Rangers comic is similarly very worth the read. The Justice League one is a miniseries, so there's no need to worry about keeping up month to month. The Boom one is ongoing, but they're both extremely cheap.

{Spoiler}Consider me well and truly blown away by the new movie!
I was really invested in the story throughout; the characters were given plenty of depth and all the actors did a good job at reinventing the characters. I was a bit worried that the film would be a bit too dark and gritty, but this had just the right balance between dark and humour – Billy adds a lot of comic relief and there’s a fair few jokes that poke fun at the original series (i.e. the reference to the Yellow Ranger being a boy in the Japanese show). But the real 'shiny shiny' moment came when they used the the Power Rangers theme song from the first movie - it took me right back to the excitement of seeing the film way back in 1995!
I'm so glad I went and saw this without reading any reviews beforehand. And it's not often I say this, but I’m really looking forward to the sequel.

SpoilerI'm looking forward to the sequel too. I hope they do make more movies providing that they're good of course. I also wonder if Lord Zedd will be the villain as Rita hints more will come for the Zeo crystals.
After seeing the new movie and routing for the franchise to continue and get stronger. All I have to say is Go Go Power Rangers.

I was worried myself this movie would be a reboot, to dark and edgy. I also was worried based on interviews I read right before seeing the movie Israelite and others didn't get the appeal or the mythology. I thought I was really going to hate all the teenage angst. I normally try to avoid reviews so my lame filter is working and I can go in with an open mind. I need not have worried and challenge this movie knows exactly what it is and it managed to hit universal writing well. It's not a Michael Bay reboot. The film is no darker or angstier or more serious than A New Hope and Luke Skywalker. But it's not the same thing repackaged and plopped safely in the tummies of former 90s kids. It's nice to watch a film like this.
It's a really good reimaging that's closer to the original mythology strung together with popular fanon off the internet and it works very well. I liked all the new versions of the characters. Happening into the role of superhero instead of being chosen is a good alternate take of the formation of the team. I wonder if they will flip it and Tommy mentioned in the end credit scene will end up being the only one chosen but we need not give this version more of a Jesus complex. I'm looking forward to seeing the sequel. Liked hearing the version of the theme from the first movie but wish there had been more metal. Maybe for the sequel, Disturbed or Tremonti can cover the theme? One can dream. Was I the only one who found the cameo scene for the old guard cynical? It was funny to hear this movie rag on the show a bit and it was funny to have 1993 rag on how stupid modern society is sometimes. "Everybody" looked so dumb with their smartphones out filming.

I saw it on Wednesday night, really enjoyed it, much better than I thought it would be, loved the cameos from Amy Jo Johnson & Jason David Frank, the origin story was very good too, can't wait for the sequel, I know that there just has to be The Green Ranger & The Dragon Zord involved.

I finally got round to seeing the movie, I wanted to go before the Easter Hols but I was busy so I hoped it would still be on afterwards and luckily for me it was. So, here are my thoughts: It was alright. But Power Rangers is something that I've treasured for so long, you could say its like a Father has to let his Little Girl go and fulfil her life or when someone passes the torch of their prize possession and either takes it to another level or retells it completely - that's how I felt about it. If it didn't have the term Power Rangers on it, it would have been the Americanised version of Skins because that's what it more felt like that a story about a group of youngsters becoming Superheroes.
But I'm not going to dwell on the whole thing, because as many have said that the best character in this Power Rangers film was definitely Billy. I also liked the idea of how with Zack, he wasn't all mouth and trousers as you'd think of him to be - I liked that he had a side to his story that he was obviously trying to keep quiet. Trini I felt seemed, well err... I want to say undeveloped to a certain degree, because obviously we had a fair bit about Kimberly and I actually didn't mind the slight change in persona they made to her. But as for Jason, ugh... I really disliked him.
I did like the finale though, but I thought Goldar seemed kind of worthless and don't even get me started on Alpha 5. However, props to Bryan Cranston as Zordon - an absolutely nod to David Fielding's portrayal and of course I was right, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa is what definitely did for me. I just wish there was a whole lot more of her - plus I liked the prologue scene also, I just wish there was a bit more of it or something n the lines of the Zordon of Eltar fan film. So that's one movie of my 2017 list ticked off, but it most definitely hints for a sequel which from I've heard rumblings off seems to be a load of humming and haring's. So, what will be will be.

While I doubt their deal with Toei prevents any other companies from using Sentai footage, I doubt they would take too kindly to somebody making what would most likely become a mockery of their product. Sadly, I doubt Toqger will ever get an english adaption.

Hello SiF. Popping back in with some news. Some of you may have heard that at the first Power Morphicon, Samuell Benta (Will from Power Rangers Operation Overdrive) was accused of stealing a banner. He has finally spoken out and given his side of the story: Honestly, I don't know what the truth is. Benta says he's been silent about it, but other sites, such as TvTropes, claim he said he had no intention of returning it.
EDIT: Please note that the vid does contain Benta using a swear word partway through.
