You're right about DC rushing the Justice League being assembled Rusty Red Scrap Iron. Not every cinema goer is a comic book reader therefore would not know who every character is. They may (or would do due to TV series) have heard of them. Would anyone who hasn't read the comics know how Cyborg is? No. Aquaman has a reputation of being lame but that was due to the cartoon.
This is where Suicide Squad failed in my view. They should have taken time to develop it. Explain what it was and why they were needed. What could they do that the Justice League can't? Why do they have to be criminals?
Wasn't even built up we just got loads of characters at once. Only Deadshot (remembered as Will Smith played him) and Harley Quinn got the most memorable roles. Everyone else was just forgettable. Killer Croc was very underused.

I wouldn't be surprises that Harley Quinn was more memorable, going by the trailers. She certainly looked like she would stand out in quite a few ways! Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the new Guardians of the Galaxy film - liked the last one, and it's got Karen Gillan (who anyone who has watched Matt Smith as Doctor Who will remember very fondly as Amy Pond).
On an unrelated note, since the new Power Rangers film has been released, despite having watched just the TV series, I find myself half-thinking about a possible cross-over between Power Rangers and Doctor Who, in honour of the film's release. Perhaps maybe something about the Sontarans and Rita Repulsa combining their powers against Zordon's homeworld, and the Doctor must team up with Zordon and the Power Rangers to stop them... The Rangers in this one could really be the Himitsu Sentai GoRangers from the Super Sentai franchise (the franchise Power Rangers is based on) with the explanation for their not being widely recognised in the PR universe as being prototypes for the Power Rangers - they are the first entry into the Super Sentai franchise.

Power Rangers and Doctor Who.....that would be one weird cross over! Much like the franchise in general you can't take the new film very seriously but it was quite enjoyable. I definitely agree with Rusty Red Scrap Iron that the prologue was one of the best bits, as it really left you wanting to see more. Elizabeth Banks and especially Bill Hader were most entertaining in their roles but Bryan Cranston really made an excellent Zordon. It's difficult to say much more without spoiling it but I liked Rita's backstory as it was an interesting re-working of the mythology. Just saw Guardians vol 2. It seemed to drag slightly in places and you can almost feel the Infinity Saga starting to reach critical mass (god help the Justice League as both Superman films already suffered from too much large scale action) but I still really enjoyed it. Again it's hard to say much without spoiling things but Drax was on top form and him and the mostly unknown Mantis (she had been dead in the comics for quite some years) were great together. Already looking forward to the next instalment

I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2...wow. It was incredible. Not only did I laugh harder this time around, but my heart broke a few times, especially near the end. I came closer to crying than I usually do. I won't say why for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of viewing it yet. The emotion was so strong, and so believable, and the special effects were top notch! I think it might be one of my new favorite movies, and definitely one of Marvel's best. I just heard they're doing a 3rd Guardians, with James Gunn at the wheel as always. Can't wait! I'll be in the theatre opening weekend for sure!

Sorry to report that it looks like Power Rangers won't be getting a sequel as it didn't preform well in box office. That is a shame as I enjoyed the last movie and was looking forward to a sequel. It's funny as most people dislike the Transformers movies and a 5th one (with a spin off planned in the future) is about to be released. Just shows if it doesn't make money they don't make more regardless if it was good or bad.
Let's hope DVD sales does well and then maybe we could get a Power Rangers sequel.

Just saw Fate of the Furious, and I highly recommend it to all Fast and Furious fans! It was really tense and entertaining, with a few brilliant twists. Even though it was a little darker than we're used to, and in some places it didn't feel like the rest of the series, it was a job well done and I'll certainly be going to see the next one in the theatre

Saw Pirates of the Caribbean 5...it was really funny in some places, and they did a lot of things I liked, but it still felt a little off.

Just saw the Wonder Woman, don't want to give away anything but it's worth watching at least once i'de say. Gal was a great choice to play Diana and I look forward to seeing more of her in the Justice films. Ps though don't bother waiting for an easter egg at the end of the credits, could of murdered my sister for making me wait till the very end for nothing

Gal was a great choice to play Diana and I look forward to seeing more of her in the Justice films. Likewise, I saw Wonder Woman myself today and I absolutely echo about Gal's casting for the lead role (and this is speaking as someone who hasn't seen Man of Steel or Dawn of Justice). I also happened to see Salazar's Revenge (or as its also referred to Dead Men Tell No Tales) this week which, without spoiling, certainly teases a sixth film - whilst at the time seems to give that kind of farewell to Jack Sparrow & co. (similar to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) and where all ends seem to have been met. It was good though, and I felt it was a good as its predecessors - regardless what others may say, as its purely an opinion. Next film on my list is possibly Spider-Man: Homecoming, otherwise its a long wait until Thor: Ragnarok - followed of course by Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (unless something else grabs my fancy - like possibly the Justice League movie).

I've seen Pirates of Caribbean. I actually enjoyed it. It was a fun film. Nice to see Orlando Bloom again. One of my fave parts was Paul McCartney's cameo. Yes his character was recycled, yes his part was originally written for Keith Richards but to me I just enjoyed seeing Sir Paul. I have a request for the sequel, please have Ringo Starr have a cameo where he appears with Paul. I'd love to see that. By the way I hope you guys didn't leave the film without seeing the post credits scene, All I have to say about that is I like where it's going. Rusty Red Scrap Iron I can't see them saying "farewell" to Captain Jack as he's the most iconic character, I doubt anyone would want to see a Pirates of the Caribbean film without Jack Sparrow.
I've seen Wonder Woman too and I enjoyed that although the twist was spoiled by casting news. I had low expectations for that as DC weren't good with their films so I'm very happy I was proven wrong. Wonder Woman film is an example of what Suicide Squad should have done. Origin stories before introducing us to all these characters at once. Wonder Woman's island looked incredible on the Imax screening. I also agree Gal Gadoot was perfect as Wonder Woman. Chris Pine was good too.
Other films I plan on seeing over the summer are
1) Spider-Man Homecoming (That's going to be great. Let's all hope Michael Keaton solves Marvel's villain problem) 2) Transformers Last Knight (Yes it looks bonkers but let's see how Bonkers but I'm hoping there's going to be a great explination to why Prime's evil) 3) War of the Planet of the Apes 4) Cars 3

I've only just seen Pirates of the Caribbean 5. A fitting instalment (semi-finale?) in one of my favourite movie series. Nowhere near as exposition-heavy as the other films and some of the best cinematography in the whole series. The returning characters were great as always, especially Barbossa, and the electrifying Javier Bardem really nailed his role as Captain Armando Salazar. If the post-credits scene's anything to go by, a sixth film's definitely on the cards. I'm all for it, of course, and I'm hoping that they'll call it "A Pirate's Life for Me" because that's the name of the song on the Disneyland ride that started it all!

Illness set me back for a while but I finally saw Spiderman Homecoming today. It's always nice when you've managed to avoid spoilers and even most of the trailers but to keep this brief it's my favourite over the last 5 Spidies and i'd recommend it to any action/comic fan

I do give my thumbs up to Tom Holland's portrayal of both Spidey and Peter Parker, but Tobey Maguire is still my favourite actor to portray Spidey. Next film on my list is Thor: Ragnarok, then followed by Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But if anything else takes my fancy, then I'll go see it before or between either.

Same here, GotG2 was better than Spider-Man, but it was still pretty awesome! I too like Tom Holland, and for me he's just about up there with Tobey Maguire. I may not be the best judge as I haven't seen the Tobey Maguire films in a while, but I do know that Tom Holland was certainly the right choice, having the perfect look and perfect voice. Can't wait for Thor 3, and of course (though it's a year away) Infinity War!! Oh, and did I mention I saw Wonder Woman? It was alright, better than just about everything else DC's adapted for the big screen, but Marvel is still number one for me.

If forced I'de have to agree Guardians 2 is the better of the two, seriously can't remember the last time I've so heartedly laughed out loud than in Drax's scenes but I found the last Spidy refreshingly low key. He's a good enough actor and great in Pleasantville but there's something about Tobey Maguire that I find hard to like (and let's be honest the less said about Spider Man 3 the better). Considering I don't care much for the comic character Michael Keaton's Vulture surprisingly has become my favourite SM villain and along with the fun entertainment that's what gives this new film the edge over the last ones in my opinion. Also yep Wonder Woman was fine but I'm looking a lot more forward to Ragnarok and the other upcoming Marvel films. Cate Blanchett is inspired casting for Hela and looks great as her, hard to believe a couple of years back we had David Hasselhoff playing Nick Fury

I've seen Spider-Man too and I've enjoyed it. It fitted in well with the MCU and yes Tom Holland and Michael Keaton were both good in the roles. There were loads of easter eggs which I wouldn't have got at the time but that's what makes Marvel films fun. The future is looking good for Spidey.
I'm also looking forward to Infinity War as that story promises to be epic. Apparently Avengers 4 will be the end for some characters. I wonder who.

Considering he's wearing the Mind Gem you don't need a crystal ball to predict that the Vision's future probably isn't going to be peachy once Thanos is looking to complete his Gauntlet bling Has anyone seen the new Planet of the Apes film? I'm in two minds whether to pay to see it on the big screen or just wait until it comes to Freeview.

I'm trying to go see War for the Planet of the Apes. I've seen all of them in the theatre so far. Finding time is tough these days As for who dies in Infinity War, my prediction is... Tony Stark and Vision. RDJ wants out, and this is logically the best way. As for Vision, I agree with Sleeper Agent, he has a stone in his head and Thanos is probably gonna rip it out... I don't see any of the Guardians dying since a 3rd GotG film's on the way. Same with Bucky and Loki, because I think there would be a riot! And we know Peter Parker and Scott Lang are safe, since they have films coming up. Chris Evans doesn't want out yet, so Steve Rogers might be safe too. Not too sure about the others though, could go either way.

{Spoiler}I agree with Vision and Iron Man. It has been hinted Robert Downey Jr wants to leave and I also predict Spider-Man will be Marvel's new star.
I think Hulk could be a casualty as no Hulk films are planned anytime soon and Universal owns the rights to that character but is only used due to an agreement. Just as well Planet Hulk adaptation is happening.
Rumour has it Steve Rogers is no longer Captain America and he'll take on his Nomad persona like in the comics. No doubt his suit will look a lot less ridiculous if that happens.
I agree with Sadie that those character would be safe and Dr Strange is safe as well due to his storylines being unresolved at the moment. A battle between him and Mordo is a must and I think Dormamu will be Marvel's next big bad and he's the best character to come to bargain...... again.
