As much as I enjoyed 2004's The Punisher, I thought War Zone was even better, Ray Stevenson looked more like the Frank Castle from the comics, all in all both were pretty good films & very under rated by a lot of people.
Just seen the Power Rangers trailer, I remember the original 1993 Mighty Morphin show & 1995 film from when I was a kid & all of those were very good, after that, I lost interest, the originals are always the best & remain so in my opinion, I'm looking forward to this new film in the franchise in late March next year.

[The Lion King re imagining] isn't a live action adaptation because it will be CGI and one can only hope humans won't be thrown into it. It almost makes logical sense to try this after The Jungle Book Actually, you could say that this year's The Jungle Book was also made in CGI, from what I've read. The animal characters, the backdrops and scenery... basically everything except for the human characters I believe. If that article you posted mentioned The Lion King as a CGI retelling, I'm quite positive that it's referring to the same photo realistic effects seen in Jungle Book as opposed to something like Zootopia. Weta Digital was involved with The Jungle Book too, the same company that animated The Adventures of Tintin and was going to animate The Adventures of Thomas (funny how similar those titles are, isn't it?). It is quite amazing what they can do with computer animation these days. Kind of a shame if 2D animated content is falling out of use, though, but it does seem like this is what's happening (in feature animation at least).

I saw Jack Reacher: Never Go Back last weekend, really liked it, have not seen the first one, but will definitely be getting it on Blu Ray, I love a good crime/action/thriller film, hope to go and see Doctor Strange next week too.

I recently saw Doctor Strange which was amazing, probably the most unique Marvel film ever, also saw A Street Cat Named Bob last weekend, very good film, quite heart warming in places.

I recently saw Doctor Strange which was amazing, probably the most unique Marvel film ever. I echo that, saw it recently myself. I think Benedict Cumberbatch was excellent casting to portray the title character because between the comic-book illustration and Cumberbatch himself - its simply spot on. Now I eagerly await Thor: Ragnarok, to see how all that will unfold as we steadily near the Avengers Infinity Wars. Next film on my list which I've already booked my seat for, is as you might guess, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in which though it may seem like old news will most-definitely not feature an opening crawl so I've heard. If that's true, then I wonder if we'll see something as seen in The Clones Wars animated film.

Glad you liked it, me too, I did stay for the end credits scenes, can't wait for Thor: Ragnorok also, really looking forward to seeing The Incredible Hulk again, he is in the next Thor film I hear, I'm a massive fan of that character, one of my fave Marvel heroes of all time.
I've also booked for Rogue One, me & my brother are seeing it on Sunday 18th December in the afternoon, can't wait for that one too.

Just seen the new Transformers trailer and guess what I'm absolutely furious with it. To me as a Transformers fan it's more controversial than Optimus Prime dying in the movie and the Ninja Turtles being announced as aliens. I know it's just a film but still. Question is does any other Transformers fans feel the same way. Why am I furious? {Spoiler}because Optimus Prime attacks Bumblebee. So looks like he's going down a dark path. OPTIMUS PRIME IS THE HERO OF TRANSFOMERS. HE IS NOT A VILLAIN. HE WOULD NEVER ATTACK A MEMBER OF HIS OWN TEAM.

I wonder if this will be as bad as the 2nd,3rd & 4th films, I really liked the first one that came out in 2007, but after that, each sequel just got worse every time.

I liked the first one and I personally thought the third one was good. It was entertaining in parts. Fourth one was tolerable and it was good to see the Dino Bots. Revenge of the Fallen was no doubt the worst. Very nonsensical and the story was rubbish.

I recently saw Trainspotting 2, great film, as well made as the first, really want to see Logan next & am very excited for Power Rangers coming out this month, I do'nt understand the point of Disney LIVE action remakes, I'm not a Disney fan, this new Beauty & The Beast looks a bit soppy for me, I'm not interested in fairy tales & romance, yuck, but I know that some folks do enjoy it, especially girls who like Disney films with princesses in them.

I saw Logan a few days ago and (no spoilers, but) that physically hurt I don't really understand those Disney remakes myself, but I am curious about how The Lion King turns out. Might give that one a go.

I saw Logan as well. I thought it was very good and a great ending to Hugh Jakcman's X-Men career. I can't imagine an X Men film wothout Wolverine so he will be recast. I wonder who it'll be. That person will have big shoes to fill.
Power Rangers is out in a few weeks. I'm planning on seeing that. I hope it's good but I fear it may turn out like Fantastic Four 2015. Hope I'm proven wrong.

I too enjoyed Logan very much and thought it was a fitting send-off for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but also a sad one. All his performances as the character were great and iconic, no matter the quality of the movie (let's be honest, some were better than others ). That said, I can't say I thought this was the best X-Men movie of all time, but it's really solid nonetheless. Logan spoilers I can't see them recasting Wolverine, mainly because of what actually happens to him in the movie. I feel it would be a disservice to the movie itself to dig the character up and use him further. Not to mention how difficult it would probably be to find an actor who's able to rival Jackman's amazing portrayal. I also feel like they're already setting up Laura and the other new mutants to be spiritual successors to Wolverine and the X-Men.

I also feel like they're already setting up Laura and the other new mutants to be spiritual successors to Wolverine and the X-Men. Spoiler X-Men Apocalypse is rumored to be getting a sequel that is now rumored to be based on the Phoenix story line (I hope they get it right this time). Considering Wolverine appeared in X-Men Apocalypse which was set in the 80's and Logan took place 2049, It would be safe to assume that Wolverine must have had a life between those times and would make us think what would he have been doing during that period. Remember After Days of Future past the timeline has been altered but it has been hinted in Logan that the events from the first X Men film did happen and X-Men 3 did not. This is why I think a Wolverine recast will happen.
I'd like to see more movies that take place after this Logan film with Laura and the new mutants. I'm sure more familler characters will appear. It was hinted alot were killed by Professor X. I doubt that all of them would be. Could Magneto be one of the survivors?

I really enjoyed seeing Kong: Skull Island recently, can't wait for the Blu Ray release, as well as 2020's King Kong VS Godzilla, plus I really enjoyed the new Power Rangers film, I'm currently rewatching the original series on Netflix, classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is the best, I remember it the first time around.

So I got round to seeing the new Power Rangers film just after the Easter Holidays, and felt rather let down by it with exception of the finale, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa and Bryan Cranston as Zordon (along with a few musical pieces by Brian Tyler's score for it). Since then, I've found myself rewatching the original series from my DVD collection and enjoying them more than the film.
However, I got round to seeing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 and from all that I felt let down by from the Power Rangers movie, was completely redeemed by Guardians Vol.2 which I thought - regardless what others and critics alike thought of it thus far, was as good as the first one just a little more darker but not drastically dark because the cheesiness of the first Guardians film is certainly still there in the second one (maybe just not as much). But overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Guardians Vol.2 more than the Power Rangers movie and eagerly await what Avengers Infinity War will bring.
Next two movies on my list, well one is depending if it gets a UK release but has at least three steadily acclaimed British actors in it which is The Circle with Emma Watson, Karen Gillan and John Boyega starring alongside Tom Hanks and features Bill Paxton's final performance before his recent passing. But depending on what happens with that, the next movie which is definitely on my list is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (or the alternative title: Salazar's Revenge). So fingers crossed with that one, because I was actually one of those who enjoyed On Stranger Tides whereas many others, critics alike, did not.

I actually enjoyed Power Rangers film alot when I saw it. I thought they did a very good job retelling the story. I would love to see the sequel and more if that one is good. I look foreard to seeing how characters like Tommy and Lord Zedd would be like in that Power Rangers.
Saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 yesterday. I enjoyed that too. I actually enjoyed it more than the first one which took me a while to get used to it as I wasn't familler with the characters. The soundtrack was good, I liked Drax getting more screen time, also good character development from Yondu and Nebulla (she's becoming one of my fave Guardians characters and also one of my fave Marvel female characters) Easter eggs were good too.
Like you Rusty Red Scrap Iron I enjoyed On Stranger Tides as I wasn't keen on At Worlds End but I will see this upcoming movie as it does have a few interesting parts.
Other films I'm looking forward to are
1) Transformers (Plot sounds absolutely bizarre, plus Optimus Prime is bad in this one and he fights Bumbelbee, I think we know why that's is) 2) Kingsman Golden Circle. Loved the first one and hope this doesn't suck like Kick Ass 2 did. 3) Thor 3. Be interesting seeing Thor fight Hulk. Hopfully Loki will have alot to do. 4) Star Wars Last Jedi. Be great seeing Luke Skywalker again. What has he been doing all this time
Not too sure about Wonder Woman and Justice League. I hope Wonder Woman is good as we've been aiting along time for a Wonder Woman movie but DC movies are a mess. They've rushed things. Why did;t they take time to develop things? Suicide Squad would have been so much better if they did that. I have low hopes for Justice League but hopfully I'll end up enjoying it.

My personal opinion on the DC Cinematic Universe, and this also counts from hearing reviews from others about their recent movies from Man of Steel to Dawn of Justice, is that they are really losing out to Marvel - bigtime! I mean with Marvel's Cinematic Universe, each movie has given its audience a chance to see each member of the Avengers and so forth on a solo adventure before of course assembling them into the Avengers. Whilst as you rightfully say, OJ, DC are just rushing to get the Justice League assembled - in which like I said, in my personal opinion, is that they're losing out to Marvel (others may disagree with me, some may not - just really depends if you prefer DC over Marvel and vice-versa. I personally like both). Also to add, when you look at DC's TV Series content - that's doing well, especially when they've taken time with Arrow, The Flash, the Legends and Supergirl before assembling together in the four-part crossover episode that occurred this year (which to me reminded me a fair bit of Avengers Assemble by for the small-screen and was just as good).
