Well, I had a day of Hell today in Uni. What should have taken five minutes turned to 2 and a half hours! I was trying to copy audio from a USB stick to a blank CD, and the blasted computers at the lab wouldn't do a thing I told them. In the end, I had to call the technician to sort it out. Apart from that, though, everything's been okay. Mind you, what can be expected from Uni in the first few weeks?

The miderms are over, horraaaaaaaaaaay... xD For my Web Design midterm, I had to make a website for my school's student exchange program (which we don't REALLY have, what a bummer) and here's the final thing: rnwolf.bravehost.com/foreignexchange/ffca.htmlI think the hardest exam out of all of my classes was Algebra II...I just barely remembered anything. ;

Looks like I'll be transferring to Trident Technical College in the spring. Their digital arts program is loads better than the one here.

Just found out yesterday that I've been accepted to one of the two colleges I applied to! ;D I'm still waiting to see how the other one turns out, as it's a little tougher to get into, but I'm feeling pretty confident about it.

It's now almost mid-term here, and I'm taking for ninth grade US: Physical Science English I Advanced Geometry World History/Cultures Advanced French II P.E. Activities Next semester I'm supposed to be doing Animation rather than P.E., but I'm thinking of switching to either Intro to Programming or Intro to CAD, as computers are one of my strengths, and art isn't. I get out for Christmas Friday until Janaury 2nd.

Career Education is a subject now? All we used to get was some one come in from some agency somewhere, and interview us the once.
It was a case of:
"So, what do you want to work as?"
"Dunno"
"Oh well, I'm sure you'll find something soon."
I think there was someone in the school whoworked as a careers advisor, but no-one was ever told about them, and thus no-one knew.

Well, as of next week, I officially start my final year at Uni. Despite the fact that I should be more mature and calmer now I'm entering "the real world", right now I'm frickin' nervous. Last year, every software/program I tried to use had some sort of problem to work around (Flash/QuickTime espicially) and am more anxious that history is going to repeat itself. Mostly is the deadlines that kinda add the pressure. Still, I'm giving up on Flash for now and am planning to animate my Final Major Project, " the one that'll get you that job", in Toon Boom, which I've been practising on. The only thing I can do now is keep my spirits high and pray every night

Well as my education life goes, at the moment I'm currently studying a two year in media (National Diploma) at West Thames College. I did first diploma last year and got a Distinction for all my assignments.
This year however is a bit different, at the moment I'm more on the pass level. Due to two reasons:
1. I got a pass for the first theory assignmnet due to lack of Media Terminology, but I've asked my teacher if I could improve on it and she said yes it's okay.
2. Near the end of last year, myself and two others went out to film our vox-pop. I only got a pass due to the video, I don't know why but I will ask my teacher about that. I would like to improve on it if it can be done, but it depends on the other two guys I work with. Some people in my course can be awkward, some are alright to work with.
At the beginning of this year I had three film projects to do and I'm pleased to say that all three projects have been filmed, two need to be edited and the other complete. Now all I have left is to do a music video, but since one of my teachers has been off ill that maybe a while before it starts, although it's suppose to start next week.
There is one guy I get on really well with, I consider him a friend but when it comes to editing he takes control and makes us all look like sticks and at one time wanted to edit his way instead of the actual way to edit and capture footage (At college we use MACs and Final Cut Pro, which is alot better than Movie Maker and we also use Soundtrack to create our own style of music).
On the other side of thing (And I hope this relates to this topic, if it doesn't I'll edit this comment and place it somewhere else), I've been taking driving lessons. So far I've done one theory test and failed the hazard perception, I've done my second attempt at the theory test, and once again I failed the hazard perception. After taking my third attempt at the theory test, I didn't get third time lucky because I missed out by two points on the Hazard Perception, this is probably due the distractions happening at home with updates to the kitchen and bathroom.
Hopefully I'll get fourth time lucky, if I don't I will murder the hazard perception, (I don't know how, you do it when learning to drive and when you do some practice at home).
Hopefully this will be my final attempt at the theory and pass the Hazard perception once and for all. Then all I'll have to worry about the practical test, which when I pass I'll be able to drive to places even though I probably get the bus and walk most of the time though (Unless it's somewhere far away like up north or down the coast).

I'm lamost 3/4 of the way through my freshman year of high school and I'm a bit disappointed. For some inexplicable reason, our English and World History classes are unleveled. And I feel my IQ dropping every day. In English right now we're reading Romeo & Juliet and I'm sick to death of it (I bring in Calvin and Hobbes books or read the newspaper most of the time now.) The teacher's a bit of a nut, a young guy in his 20s, but he recently asked me to help contribute to a book he's writing about working with high school seniors. THAT should be cool.

Two years ago, I graduated from TAFE (a slightly lower form of Aussie collage). But it turns out that I didn't completely finish two of my courses. I got a call from my TAFE today. Long story short, I'm going back for some 1 on 1 one hour lessons until my studies are completed.
I'm very excited. I'll be a student again, I'll be using my bike, I'll be getting more exercise, and because the class starts at 11.30am, I can stop at Gloria Jeans for morning tea on the way up (just like old times).
My classes start on the 25th of March.

At the beginning of the year, I was really hovering over whether or not I was going to stay on at University and do my Honours year. A few times throughout the course of the 2007/08 session, I've " made up my mind" as it were, but never truly stuck to it until I had the realisation - "What the hell would I go on to?" and more or less made the decision for myself - "I'm not ready to go just yet." So, I'm staying on for one more year to complete my degree and gain an Honours distinction. One more year of personal freedom if you discount the fact that as of May 20th, I'm going to start reading for my dissertation - which I've decided will be on Leisure Development Among the British Working Classes. Apart from that, having a whale of time right now writing my Scottish History statistical report on Laggan! May as well utilise all the perks I possibly can!

Been in pretty deep thought about my ideas for when I leave Uni. As much as I enjoy watching and learning animation (mainly the "oldies"), when it comes to doing it myself it's pretty hard. This past year, I've had no end of problems with the software I used and have spent many late nights trying to finish before the deadlines. That and the time to create perfect full animation is a lot. Just as well I'm finishing off my third and final year there. So I've decided I won't give up animating wholly; I just don't see it as something I would do for a living. So I'll be concentrating fully on illustrating and writing, neither I haven't done for weeks. Hopefully, I ought to make better use of my DA page and, with luck, lulu.com

Got accepted to Uni baby!
A big push for me,but right now keeping up the marks is the big thing. Hopefully around that i'll balance time with the bear essentials and girls.
Other than that, I used to think schools were a way to get your parents mad at you.
Profit!

I completed my first of two exams today (the second being this coming Saturday (why did it have to be on a weekend?!) - hence the reason I haven't been on SIF lately with all this revision going on. Now, I'm just waiting on tenterhooks for my Systems Analysis exam result to come through...
