Corrie, as it has more humour, but nothing past the 90's. Storylines became too OTT after that.

Tennant, easily.

I have not watched either but based on designs and general description, The Owl House.
Peanuts (comic) or Calvin and Hobbs?

I don't really know either I'm afraid, so I'm going to have to go with Calvin and Hobbs because regardless if Peanuts if from a comic I just don't like 'em.
Choice of the Thunderbirds, in memory of Matt Zimmerman (the voice of Alan Tracy):

It's a draw for me: both have their strong points - and their negatives, as I'm sure has been debated by many of the fans on this forum o'er the years.
There's much to like in either the simplistic or complex stories that have been crafted by the Rev. Awdry, Christopher, Allcroft & Mitton and the various writers through the years, 'cos that's what I usually tend to look for in a series, book or television - a good story. And to say that the number of good stories outweighing the negatives speaks volumes of those who care about the franchise's legacy.

Now, to wonder which musician o'er the years is clearly the best when they decided to 're-invent' themselves in a manner of speaking: Linda Ronstandt or David Bowie?

Since I know very little of Linda Ronstandt, I'm going to have to go with David Bowie.
The Crystal Maze or Fort Boyard?

Of the two, I've watched Crystal Maze way more often, and generally found it more enjoyable. The hosts (Richard O' Brien, Ed Tudor-Pole) are definitely more memorable on this too, as I'm struggling to recall who presented Boyard without looking it up.

Hitchhiker’s Guide. Memorable and funny.
1984 or Animal Farm?

Both interesting novels in their own right, but I'm going for Animal Farm. It shows how one tyrant can be overthrown, and replaced by another.
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers vs. Big Bad Beetleborgs?

Definitely Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers for me, as they were my introduction to the Superhero genre and after almost 30 years (30 come 2023) I still get a kick out of it. I did see Big Bad Beetleborgs when that came along with Masked Rider, VR Troopers and Mystic Knights, but Power Rangers was always my number one.
Robocop or Judge Dredd

Robocop sounds more appealing. I'm going with Robocop.
The Terminator or Terminator 2: Judgement Day?

TBH I've not seen either but, assuming the sequel was not quite as good (as they often aren't), I'll go for the original film.

Both - it is literally impossible to imagine one without the other, and they bounce off of each other so well!
Doctors or Doctor Who?

Doctor Who without any shadows of doubt.
Ronnie Barker or Ronnie Corbett?

As with Laurel and Hardy, it is impossible to imagine one without the other. So, I say both.

Sushi or ramen?

I'm not that crazy about Japanese food (I did try sushi once, but didn't like it), so I'll say neither.
And while on the subject of Japanese culture, now for a choice between these two anime series:
Gunsmith Cats or Ghost in the Shell?

|
Post by Rusty Red Scrap Iron on May 14, 2023 19:26:02 GMT
I've not seen either animes, but I did see the Ghost in the Shell live-action film which starred Scarlett Johansson and thought it was alright. So on that basis I guess I'm going with Ghost in the Shell.
Choice of Captains:
Captain America, Captain Scarlet, Captain Planet or Captain Marvel?

Easily Captain Scarlet.
Dempsey and Makepeace or Cagney and Lacey?
