I think I'll go with Peter Sellers.
Wallace and Gromit or Shaun the Sheep?

Post by Nicholas on Apr 13, 2022 10:02:12 GMT
Wallace and Gromit, for me. Shaun the Sheep is a much simpler and child-friendly affair, which isn't what makes it bad alone, but, all round, there's less humour, action and stakes. Wallace and Gromit is frequently an ambitious show-piece that almost always delivers. Shaun the Sheep does what it aims to do, but its scope is narrower than Wallace and Gromit, which has a lot of charm and re-watch value.

Picard.
'Arry or Bert?

Well, given the fan story "Bert's Redemption" by dcg12b on YouTube, I'd have to go with Bert.
Yes Minister or Yes Prime Minister?

I've seen a little of both, but not enough to determine whether one is better than the other. The quality seems consistent, so its a draw for me.
Mr. Arkwright, Mr. Perkins or Mr. Evans?

Mr. Perkins, that’s not much of a question.

Star Wars easily for me.
Firefly or Guardians of the Galaxy?

Firefly. Strong characters, strong cast, strong writing.
With regards to television, music and fashion combined, the 1960s, the 1970s or the 1980s?

Never heard of either I'm afraid.
A follow-up to Nicholas's last one with regards to television, music and fashion combined; the 1990s, the 2000s or the 2010s?

Though the fashion style of that time isn't quite as... 'tasteful' as the next two decades came to pass, as far as television and music are considered, the '90s was tops. But then again, i may be a bit biased since i am a '90s kid. But that aside, there were some fantastic or ground-breaking for its time TV shows that came out during that decade that would later earn cult followings, and some noteworthy bands from the '70s-'80s would release some great stuff in the '90s that'd also see 'em make a comeback on the live circuit, plus there were some pretty great bands or solo artists that made strong debuts during that decade. So, yeah, it's the '90s for me :-)

Now for which of Def Leppard's most recent albums is the best: Songs From the Sparkle Lounge or Def Leppard (their 2015 self-titled album)?

I'm not a fan of Def Leppard, so thus I cannot make a choice.
Dick Dastardly or Penelope Pitstop?

Post by Old Square Wheels on May 16, 2022 8:16:21 GMT
I never really watched Penelope Pitstop's own show (as an eight year old, I just saw it as a 'girl's show' and didn't bother), so I'd be comparing them solely on their appearances in Wacky Races. So I have to go for Dick Dastardly, as he brought the most conflict to the show and his antics brought much joy to my childhood.
Speaking of which...
Wacky Races vs. Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines (aka. Stop the Pigeon)

As much as I like Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines, Wacky Races is the clear cut choice for me. Both the classic and reboot, as well as the pilot Wacky Races Forever. In short, I am a mad Wacky Races fan.

Both great comedy characters, but I think I've found myself laughing at Mrs. Slocombe slightly more often.

Though I'm not a crazy fan, I'd have to go for The Jetsons, as it sounds and looks more interesting.

Lamborghini or Ferrari?

Ferrari, because they have a bigger, richer history. Not to mention a more dizzying array of models past and present, so you're very much spoiled for choice in those terms.

Since I don't know the first, I'll have to go with the Australian Nation anthem.
Let's see how this turns out (to quote Trigger from Only Fools and Horses).
