For me; Overplayed, cliche, the concept's been done better many times over the years, and don't get me started on all the lazy moments in the lyrics...
Just my opinion, mind. Anyone else wanna share about the songs they "can't stand to hear?"

Good idea for a thread.
For me, it's mostly anything mainstream. Every time I turn on the radio, it's nothing but a hurricane of wispy voiced guys with guitars singing about how much they wish they could love some useless tart.
Of course if it's not that, then it's talentless 12-year old idols, who I'm pretty sure were grown in a lab, as they all sound and look the same. Why anything like this is being put on any respectable station is beyond me.
Country music. Ugh, singing again and again about how you lost your wife, your job, your dog and who knows what does not make a good song. Plus, you don't need to end sentences by dragging them so much that you sound like a dying animal.
Lastly, it's that Justin Beiber kid. Listen kid, if you haven't hit puberty yet, you shouldn't pursue a career in music. Once your voice starts to change, your entire career is finished. Plus, crooning "Baby" over and over again, does not necessarily make a song.

I have to thank my sister for exposing to me to countless songs which I find out I HATE, and she keeps listening to them and singing them no matter my/our objections... Anyways, my list of top songs I cannot stand: * That's Not My Name- The Ting Tings * 3 Words (I Love You)- Cheryl Crow and Will.I.Am. * Any Justin Bieber songs [/vomit] * Any Hannah Montana songs * Most Britney Spears/Beyonce/Rihanna songs * Most mainstream rap and 'remixes' And, as said above, most songs on the radio. I'd be at work for 8 hours and only hear 3-5 songs played that I actually enjoy listening to.

I'd like to contribute, but isn't there already a thread like this (Least Favourite Music)?

Ok, here's mine.
Justin Beiber- I honestly thought this was some cute chick singing about a guy she wanted, then was horrified to see that it was a half pint
Rock.- I'm really just not a fan.
Country- The only one that I will kind of willingly listen to is Lady Antebellum. It has a good rhythm to it.
Punk.
Most pop- this includes Rhianna- She really took a beating and turned out worse from it.
And most of the dirty rap. Some I like, some I can't stand.

Screamo/Death Metal/etc just annoys me, you can't even hear the lyrics of the song, it sounds like a cat being strangled.
Country, and Western, are extremely annoying, as they all look and sound the same.
Funnily enough, musicians like Bieber and Ke$ha don't annoy me, nor much else.

Me? My all time least favorite music is anything churned out by Justin Bieber. I cannot understand what teenaged girls find so great about him. His singing is awful and his lyrics aren't any better. One of the biggest reasons why I dislike him is because even on music videos for talented artists and bands, you just can't get away from him! People will make comments like "this is sooo much better than what jb makes" Yes, chances are, it probably is, however we don't need you bringing it up and just want to listen to music. I also dislike Lady Gaga's music. It started off bad a few years back, and as time went by it got worse and worse. Her most recent work is just...ugh! Some more music I dislike includes: -Country (every song I've heard falls under one or more of these categories: rednecks, beer and breakups) My dad plays this every time we're in the car, and it drives me up the wall. -Hannah Montana. Nuff said. -Ke$ha. Her lyrics are inappropriate and stupid, and she uses autotune waaaaaay to much. -Jonas brothers -Rebecca Black, and every other teenage popstar. -The Glee Cast. They've totally mangled every song they've done a cover for! -Britney Spears -Gwen Stefani -Rihanna -Demi Lovato -Taylor Swift (to some extent) -most Disney stuff That's all I can think of for now. These people are a total disgrace to the music industry. Thank heaven that there are some talented modern-day bands, which include, but are not limited to, OneRepublic, Daughtry, 30 Seconds to Mars, otherwise I'd just throw out my radio. The main difference between these bands and those I listed above this paragraph, is that they put thought into their music, and their is usually some kind of message behind it. I'm not big on 80s rock and metal either (shock horror). No, I don't hate it, but it's not my cup of tea, and I find it to be slightly overrated. (shock horror x2). I do, however, respect these musicians for achieving the status they have in history, and not relying on hair or girly voices like a certain artist I could mention... I dislike (c)rap as much as almost everyone else here, however in recent times I've discovered a rap song which is actually legitimately good. "Airplane" by B.o.B and Haley Williams. This time the song isn't about parties, or vandalism, or drugs, or any of that crap, and there isn't a swear word in every other sentence (there's one in the whole song). This song actually has some thought put into it, and I like it for these reasons. Same story for "Written in the Stars" by Tinie Tempah and Eric Turner. A few more good rap songs also exist, but there is only a small handful, and they are, generally, crap.

Rap music - or indeed any music whereby the 'storyline' consists of the 'artist''s love of women's bottoms...
Rebecca Black, Justin Bieber, and other such "musicians", for whom I feel frankly embarrassed.
Lady Gaga, and those hideously unimaginative lyrics and sound effects that have been smudged into what's been described as one of her greatest tracks, Judas...
Neil Young. Everything about him and his songs.
'Plan B'. Typically, I enjoy tuning into Jools Holland's Later, but I really was thoroughly disappointed by this group(?) when they appeared on his New Year's Eve show...
