I decided to comment on different songs I dislike. The Seventies'Mamma Mia': Though I dislike most music by ABBA, this is the first that comes to mind. It's beat is just too trippy. But at least it's better than more modern stuff... The Eighties'Mickey': This Toni Basil number is synomynous with cheerleading, and that's why I dislike it so. The NinetiesC'est La Vie: This 'Irish ditty' was an ill-fated attempt to capitalise of the popularity of Riverdance at the time. But instead, I find this B *witched number to piss me off and affirm my hatred of 'bubblegum' pop. Skipping ahead a little... 2002'Whatever, Whenever': Just listening to Shakira's voice here makes me want to scream in agony, not to mention she's made out to look like a complete sleeper! 'These Hips Don't Lie', anyone? 2003'All The Things She Said': TATU's attrocity goes beyond bad. If you were forced to listen to this over and over while locked in a car, I guarentee you'll be begging to die! That's how awful this broken piece of s**t is! WORST, SONG, EVER!!! *ahem*2005'Hollaback Girl': Another song that showcases how bad BGP is. It's like Gwen Stefani's admitting she's a...well, I think I'll get into trouble if I say it here. 2006'I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)': The lyrics are my main gripe here. What the hell is Sandi Thom talking about? It's so random, it makes YouTube Poop look like artistic genius! 2007It's a tie... 'Girlfriend': The main reason I hate Avril Lavigne's musical style. 'Just A Song About Ping Pong': Operator Please? More like Operator Shut The Hell Up! It's too fast and too incoherent. Thanks for listening to my rants. Now it's your turn. What songs do you hate with a passion? *start playing 'Passion' by Gat Décor*

"The Girls" by Calvin Harris - Heard it on the "EastEnders" advert for Ronnie and Roxy's arrival and didn't think much of it. "Everytime You Go Away" by Paul Young - One of my least favourite Paul Young songs. "Atmosphere" by Joy Division - I find the music to that song very eerie, although it fits the song's message. "I Eat Cannibals" by Total Coelo - What a crazy song! "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush - Another eerie song, although it's probably because I saw the music video to it first. "Road To Nowhere" by Talking Heads - I never liked this song, although I have tried a few times to get into it.

There is one song in this world I have well and truly come to detest. I loathe it with every fibre of my being. And that song is "Oh Danny Boy". I hate it for five simple reasons: 1) It's BORING. 2) People always start blubbing during it. 3) I can't escape the wretched song. When you've heard the bloody tune as often as I have you will sympathise. 4) The tune is dedicated to a cockney's backside. 5) Everyone gives me filthy looks when I say I dislike it. As if I've just announced I'm Adolf Hitler's number one fan or something. Next time I hear someone crying during a performance of it I'm going to slowly skin them alive. No, don't "come ye back when the summer's in the meadow", Danny Boy. If you do I will gleefully set fire to you.

Any song that swears at me as if I've done something wrong. Many "hardcore" rap artists and rock bands are like that...It's not like I'm entirely against swearing in music, and in fact prefer the explicit version of "Devil went down to Georgia," but having swear words drilled into my head every 10 seconds is not something I enjoy. and actually, they drill just about every word they have to say, especially those rockers, so I really don't like it anyway.
Now, for other stuff...
Rick Astley's "Never gonna give you up," has been so overplayed I cannot stand it, and it's you internet types faults. SHAME. ON. YOU. You've ruined it like Trogdor. "Hopelessly Devoted." God. Gag me with a spoon, please. "The song that doesn't end." Need I say more? The "Engine Roll Call" was bad before, but now with Stanley, it's worse. Poor Edward, taken completely out of character, and now relegated to sharing his spot with Henry! Team Sonic's theme in Sonic Heroes. It's the worst song the Blue Blur has ever been associated with.

I really can't stand the Jonas Brothers. I mean, I know they're primarily geared towards the teeny-boppers, but after watching them perform (er, "perform") on American Idol, I feel something needs to be said. They have a four-piece band backing them up while they sing and pretend to play their instruments (i.e. vigorously slashing about randomly on their guitars). The teeny-boppers won't know know the difference (and will swear up and down on their mother's life that they are, in fact, actually playing), but still. It just really, really bugs me.

I hate metal music. Here's what I think it stands for: M- Moronic E- Egotistical T- Talentless A- And L- Lame
No offence to those who like it, but it just doesn't fit me.

Now, wait, '80s Metal, or the Modern stuff? I do like Van Halen, Judas Priest, and the like...

Well some oldies I like, Aerosmith (if they count). But I mostly dislike modern stuff. Like Escape the Fate (even thought that's mostly a blend of emo and punk), Metallica or the like.

I'm not a fan of metal either. I was a pretty big fan in high school, but then as I grew older, it just seemed terribly loud.

Funny how people seem to like things quieter as they get older.
I don't like most Metal made after 1990. The Hair bands are pretty cool, though.

Well as you grow older, your life becomes stressful and you usually just want to sit back and relax. Soothing music usually helps, plus loud music isn't really good for your ears .

emo and screamo. Emo because I hear enough whining with two baby sisters, and i did not turn on the radio to hear grown men doing it, and screamo because it's all yelling and no beat. none at all.

-99.99% of all rap. There is one song that I find tolerable, but in the way I can tolerate a screaming baby on a crowded trans-pacific flight.
-Most varieties of metal. To clarify, I like the Whitesnake and Van Halen kind of metal, but not Korn or Pantera or Screaming Whatevers or Drown Me With A Stick.
-Frank Zappa. He's the Yahoo Serious of music. Don't worry, it's fine with me if you like his music, but it's just that I don't.
-Toby Keith. No, I do not like you, even now. He's even worse in person...
-The songs which I'm supposed to hate, but like listening to. Y'know, the "guilty pleasure" type. Embarrasses me to no end.

He's got so much material out there, it's insane. He's got some songs I really love and some in which it seems his intent is to make me want to scoop out my inner ear with a spork. I might get flamed for this, but I really dislike Nirvana. I don't think they're horrible, I just find them to be extremely overrated. To me, their music is just sub-par at best, and lyrically, it just seems like Cobain was trying too hard to be "edgy." Yes, they supposedly "changed the face of music," but it just seems that since then, rock really hasn't evolved much. Also, I absolutely LOVE the Rolling Stones, but I really think they should have quit at least 20 years ago.

Yes, they supposedly "changed the face of music," but it just seems that since then, rock really hasn't evolved much. Bugger flaming, I'm right there with you buddy. I try to like them, but so many of their songs are nothing more than noise. I reckon a lot of their best work was in their simpler songs, where it didn't seem like they were trying to actually prove anything or send a message. I suppose if we were around our age back in 1991 or whatever instead of now we might have a different opinion, but as it is, I agree with you wholeheartedly - Nirvana: Overrated.

Two artists that I hate at the moment are James Blunt & Maroon 5. I list them as two of the most useless & annoying things on this earth.
