Discuss what musical artists you've seen live here.
I went to the Hyde Park Calling festival in London yeasterday to see 'The Who'. MY GOD WERE THEY FANTASTIC!!! It may have cost me a small fortune, I may have got back at midnight (with work to go to in the morning) and my hearing may never be quite the same again.....but it was worth it!

Besides the ubiquitous pub bands that have average talent and worse volume control (my ears still hurt after Saturday's group), the only concert I've ben to was...
Suzi Quatro.
With my mother.
Pretty good concert all things considered, though.
But with my music tastes the way they are, there's little chance of seeing the bands I want to see live... Did Queen + Paul Rogers come down Aussie way?

When I was younger, I went to see All Saints and Boyzone (with a then Girlfriend, and we were TIGHT!) in concert at the SECC in Glasgow.
Following that, I've seen Mark Joseph play live twice, once with an acoustic guitar in a record shop and the other in concert with Ocean Colour Scene with a full band.
There's a few acts I'd love to see live particularly Keane, Oasis and The Arctic Monkeys.

I saw Los Lonely Boys play at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. The concert started out where I could see the band, but as I moved in, I was able to see them Jam to their last song!

I've seen Joe Grushecky, a somewhat famous local artist play at a festival in our town a few times. Actually got to go on stage with him once. Of course, last summer I got to see Don Henley and Stevie Nicks at together. Great show, indeed, even better was the fact that I found a copy of it on the internet. They played all their hits and did some songs together. Really good sets for both of them. Journey and Def Leppord are coming to town (together) in September. Not much of a Def Leppord fan, but I'd kill to see Journey. Currently trying to talk my dad into going to this show... ATK

I have seen Girls Aloud this year and last year and they were brilliant. The stage sets for both years were excellent and Nadine, Cheryl, Nicola, Sarah & Kimberley have really out done themselfs.
Girls Aloud are the only band that I have seen preform live in concert.
I have seen plenty of bands tour DVDs and VHS's of bands like Franz Ferdinand, Aerosmith, Van Halen, The Beatles, Metallica, Yes, Rush, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers & Led Zepplin.

I know this may be 'off topic' in this thread, but its the only thread I see that this question is fit for... Does anyone know of any Green Day concerts coming to anywhere near the Cardiff/South Wales area? Any at all?

I've seen 1964: The Tribute twice. They're the best Beatles tribute band I've ever heard. Heeeeeey...I saw them way back in 2002! Well, I think it was 2002 - I went with one of my friends who is also a Beatles fan ^_^ That was fun, they really are as close to the Beatles as the Fab Four themselves ^^ ~Elizabeth

I've seen Savage Garden on their Affirmation tour at the MEN, then saw Craig David several months later at the same venue. SG were amazing and the costumes and staging were immense, with plenty of colour and lighting effects yet never seem to be over-the-top. Craig David had a very simple yet effect lighting for his. The next year I got to see one of my favourite artists of all time...BRYAN ADAMS! After the concert I vowed that if I ever saw him live I'd never get a seating ticket and I've seen him twice since. 2004 at Stoke City Football ground and then months later back at the MEN with my ex. I also got to see my other favourite artist of all time, Meat Loaf at the MEN and then Liverpool Dock in the Big Top arena whn he did the Hair of the Dog tour. Both trips were with my Mum as she is a huge fan of Meat Loaf. I even got some quite good pics of the first tour too. ;D

I have seen Girls Aloud twice and they were pretty good, going to see them in concert again in May. I was offered a ticket to see The Darkness but I turned it down as newspaper reports had really put me off and I was glad I didn't go as my mate said it was the biggest heap of s**t he had seen.
