I saw Tom Chapin in concert before, and he sang "Cats in the Cradle" and it brought tears to my eyes, that song reminded me of my late father.

Most recently a couple of weeks ago, I went to my very first concert where I saw 'Rascal Flatts' perform with special guest 'Darius Rucker'. When the group came out on stage, it...was just so amazing! They sang all my favourites too, including 'Life is a Highway', 'Fast Cars and Freedom' and 'My Wish'. It was an experience I'll never forget!

Well, on Jume 8, 2009, I have gone to see Celtic Women live with my family. They sang a bunch of interesting songs as well as a few of my favorites like Orinicco Flow. I never did talked to them.

Yesterday. Dad and I. Hampden Park. Paul McCartney. Sharleen Spiteri supporting. Blue sky. Blazing sun. Three hour main gig. Hands throbbing. Ears ringing. Throat aching. Sentence fragments. MULL OF KINTYRE.
So yeah. Best Father's Day ever. ;D

Last December I went to Reading with my friend Vicky to see DragonForce live, and has thus far been the most epic night of my life. Being supported by Glamour of the Kill, Sylysis and Sabaton was especially good, and ironic since the latter band actually got a bigger cheer than the main performance. They played the majority of my favourite songs and ended with a brilliant version of 'Vally of the Damned', resulting in a fantastic night. Only thing is, the latter song is something of a challenge to sing, and naturally by this time ZP Theart's throat must have been reduced to a fleshy pulp even before he started singing.
Unfortunately ZP Theart left the band a few months after this, and so for now the future of Dragonforce is in question. However, I did get one thing from the night, a passion for the Swedish band Sabaton, who blew me AWAY with their song 40-1. And I'm to see them in October, again with Vicky, and being supported by Alestorm, the single most Scottish-piirate band out there. SHould be epic!
All the Best, Tayhan.

Okay, might as well add some of my own updates to who I've seen:
2009 I didn't see anybody, mind you wasn't the best of years for me (not compared to 08 when I saw Iron Maiden for the 4th time and Bon Jovi for the first time). But for 2010, here's my list:
Bon Jovi (June 2010, second time). Joe Brown (the Support Act for Status Quo 2010, he was pretty good and consider I knew nothing about him). Status Quo (Dec 2010, what a way to end the year than by seeing these legends. No matter how old they are, they still know how to Rock 'n' Roll).
But for 2011... for the fifth time, I'm seeing Iron Maiden at the O2 in Aug on their Final Frontier tour (a month before I go on holiday to Orlando, what a rocking Summer it's hopefully going to be for me in 2011),
EDIT:
My updated list so far:
EPICA (March 2011) - I saw them, they were EPIC, and I love Simone Simons (though she's techincally in a relationship). Another netherlands band called: Revamp, were the support act for EPICA and they were heavy.
But now I'm hoping to see Fozzy again in July, should be a great show (and a few weeks before Iron Maiden too, great).

I watched the 30th anniversary tour of "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of the Worlds" (Long name, eh?) It would have been the best night of my life, if I wasn't blinded by some of the explosions!

I saw Eric Clapton live a few years ago and he did an electric version of Layla... it was EPIC!!! Brilliance. Here's probably a complete list of bands I've seen live: Manic Street Preachers (x3) Oasis Kasabian The Enemy Stereophonics Doves Kids in Glass Houses Paul Weller Beady Eye Steve Craddock The Joy Formidable (x2) Lightning Seeds Goldie Lookin' Chain A few them were at free live 'Summer' gigs in Newport and Cardiff and not proper sets mind. Probably the best gig I've seen in terms of experiences was the Stereophonics. The atmostphere was incrediable and crowd got really into it Worst was probably Kids in Glass Houses, who ironically were supporting Stereophonics. Couldn't get into them at all and found myself just getting annoyed by the lead singer who thought he was some kind of Bono/Jarvis Cocker in skinny jeans.

Might as well give an update on my recent Music live events:
Well in early July, I did see Fozzy again and they were awesome (hadn't seen them in 5 years, and the venue was pretty good - small but you only had to enter the main door and the stage was just around the corner). They had three support acts, my favourite was the third act known as: Voodoo Vegas, was were kind of like a "Glam Metal" band and old school rock. The other two support acts were kind of crap, particularly the second support act.
Then earlier this month (a week before the riots kicked off) I saw Iron Maiden at the O2 arena, and after 3 years it was an awesome show. Plus, I got to see DragonForce who were the support act (of course they had their new Singer, and he wasn't bad). But if I had to say anything to the haters of DF and say they suck live, go see them and be proven wrong.
That's it for me, unless I happen to see Manowar in November. Otherwise it's until next year, I'm hoping to see both Epica and DragonForce again as they've new albums coming out then.

Later this month, the group Mannheim Steamroller is supposed to perform in my town. My mother is going to try and get tickets for herself, me and my grandmother. It'll be my first time seeing them perform live; I've only ever seen their performances on DVD.

I've seen: Cheap Trick (which I would recommend, really good live) Cracker The Smithereens I probably should update my list of bands I've seen live since this post back in 2006. Since that time, I've seen: Oasis - last U.S. show, on their last tour - Well worth the money and a great show. Ryan Adams - opened for Oasis. Muse - Excellent show. Metric - opened for Muse. Nine Inch Nails - Beyond good show. Great visuals. Johnny Marr - Lets put it, well worth the money. Truly a genius on guitar in all aspects.

I've seen Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band here in Sydney, Australia back in Feb. 2013. It was an amazing night with the legendary drummer as well as other great musician. To me I like Steve Lukather from Toto.

I've seen The Real Group three times live. They are not very famous, but famous enough to travel around the world on tours.
