Is there any where I can put in my point A destination, my point B destination, and it will show me the appropriate list of trains/buses to take? Much appreciated! I'd suggest either Google maps or www.traveline.info/ . Both do exactly what you're looking for, and if you wish, you can narrow down the journey by mode of transport (say if you only want to travel by bus, you can exclude trains etc.)

Merry Bloody Cold Gift-Giving Day--I mean Christmas! Yes, that's a thing with me. And I miss the SiF Alternative Christmas Messages...
Here's this year's haul thus far:
* A Microsoft ergonomic keyboard (that I'm typing this with; gonna take some getting used to) * A 6-pack of Island Strawberry V8 Splash (since they've stopped selling it at grocery stores in my area, and the only other place I could find it was Amazon and a Publix in Miami) * Two new shirts * A new pair of shoes * $20 for the Nintendo eShop * $50 for Steam * $80 actual cash * A new calendar; this one mainly has British steam locomotives (the cover has 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley), as well as what I believe to be Frieda's basis and a Big Boy
My brother got, among other things, the Steph Curry shoes and the script for Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
For the rest of the family, things are different this year due to my grandpa's death. They're all coming over here instead. Once we've done those presents, I'll fill you in on what I got.
UPDATE: Here's the rest of my haul:
* Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition * Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled for Switch * Gear Club Unlimited 2 for Switch * A Roku stick for the TV in my room * $100 for Steam * $150 for Amazon * $50 for Target * $500 actual cash

The first BNSF1995 Trip Report of 2020 is brought to you by the letter confusion and delay, and by the number Curse You Coronavirus. * Thursday, March 12: Me and my parents awoke before the sun rose for our flight out of SFO to Fort Lauderdale. Last time, I assumed it would be on Southwest, but my mom booked us on JetBlue instead, my first time flying on an airline outside of the Big Four (American, United, Delta, and Southwest). At the airport, we met with my aunt and uncle. Plans changed very quickly that day; the original plan was for my parents, aunt, uncle, and brother's girlfriend to see my brother in his first professional production ( Gigi), but the latters' mom got cold feet thanks to the coronavirus, so I was now obliged to use her ticket. Then, when we were two hours out, my brother texted me and said the show had been postponed, again due to coronavirus fears. Add to that the rash of cancellations left and right, and it feels like society is falling apart. Anyway, JetBlue is an airline I would take over the competition. For one, it has more legroom in coach than Southwest. They also have seatback televisions and WiFi, both of which are FREE (the TVs have DirecTV, and you can also watch shows, movies, listen to Sirius XM, or view the map to see where you are). After the initial snack and drink service, passengers can walk to the middle of the plane to a self-service pantry to help themselves, something I never thought possible on a narrow-body plane (JetBlue's fleet consists exclusively of Airbus models, with 60 Embraer 190s that are being replaced from this year; our plane both ways as an A321, I don't know which variant). We landed in Fort Lauderdale early, and found a marked difference in crowd levels; whereas SFO was desolate, FLL was packed. We had two rental cars this time: me and my parents had a Chrysler Pacifica, while my aunt and uncle had a Kia Sorento (my mom also owns a Sorento, but it's an older model). Catch of the day: a Florida East Coast switching job near the airport. We arrived at our Airbnb in Boca Raton about an hour later. Now this Airbnb was a three-story house: me and my parents slept on the first level (which we're pretty sure is a converted garage), with my parents taking the king and myself on the couch in the family room (it was a very comfortable couch), my uncle was on the second level off the kitchen, and my aunt and brother took the rooms on the third level. This was a great house, but it did have a few quirks, such as an awkward step-down similar to the one at the Airbnb in Miami last November, a doorless shower (which are apparently a recent trend), and the stairs to the second level are steep and lack handrails. After my brother arrived (he put in the wrong address in Uber), we drove to the nearby Tucker Duke's restaurant for dinner (the fries were good, and the chicken tenders, while also good, were very thick), then got our breakfast for the next morning from the nearby Publix (I had Frosted Flakes and Cookies & Cream Pop Tarts). * Friday, March 13: We got out a bit late thanks to jetlag, and went to the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center nearby. This place was nice, featuring sea turtles, fish, a snake, a green anole, spiders, and butterflies. It was here my mom learned her school would be shut down for a few weeks, I learned the next two NASCAR races were being postponed (my best guess is they'll be run at the end of the season, meaning Homestead will be the season finale again, and Phoenix, which was scheduled to be the new season finale, will just have to suck it up), and we received word of the national emergency. After we finished, we had lunch at Flannigan's in Deerfield Beach, then went to the nearby pier to watch people fish (one guy was crabbing). Later on, we headed to the same Publix from the night before to find people panic-buying, preparing for the inevitable lockdown like in Italy, with shelves stripped bare. We were there simply for some snacks. After that, we returned to the house. * Saturday, March 14: Our day started with brunch at Grampa's Bakery & Restaurant in Dania Beach with one of my brothers' college roommates and his mom (and saw a Tri-Rail on the way, comprised of three Hyundai-Rotem BiLevels pulled by a Brookville BL36PH); the french toast and regular wheat toast were fantastic (I would've gotten bacon, but we're still in a trial separation following that episode at Disneyland last August). Afterwards, my brother went with his roommate to the University of Miami; the U, as it's known, is moving to online classes, so we figured it would be better to just bring my brother home. While they did that, the rest of us went to Hollywood (no, not that Hollywood) to walk along the beach. COVID-19 did nothing to dissuade the Spring Break crowds, and it was hopping around there. After a long walk that gave me a sore calf in my right leg (it's still there as I type it), we next went to the Aventura Mall in Aventura, the largest mall in Florida, and 16th-largest in the US (I spotted a Brightline on the way, too). We had a fantastic lunch at Cheesecake Factory (but then again, I always have fantastic meals there), then my parents went off to wait for my brother, while I went with my aunt and uncle. My uncle took his sweet time shopping for black clothing (it's his thing, he's a locksmith and he, for whatever reason, wears black suits even in summer), and when he eventually finished, we returned to the house, where I showered and settled in. * Sunday, March 15: Today was one of the longest days of my entire life. We got up before 5 AM EDT to drive to the airport for our return flight. Once there, we got a few things for breakfast (I had apple juice and two chocolate Krispie Kream donuts), then boarded our flight for an 8:29 AM departure. The flight home was long, but at least I had the seatback TV and WiFi to keep me entertained. Thanks to timezone changes, we arrived at SFO around 11:2-something AM PDT. Once on the ground, our plane took its sweet time taxiing to the gate, and it was only after we landed that I noticed I never put my phone in airplane mode. After we finally got to the gate, we got our luggage, and my brother went off with his girlfriend again (I made extra sure to maintain social distancing as recommended by the FDA, but I feel utterly exhausted). We got our car, came home, dropped off our luggage, disinfected said luggage, went grocery shopping at the Lucky by my grandma's house (and made sure to get enough to last at least two weeks, and yes, this store was full of panic-buyers, too), got by bunny from my grandma's house (I didn't go in because I thought my exhaustion was the start of a COVID-19 infection, but now I'm sure I'm just really tired from waking up at what was tantamount to 1:40 AM PDT). Because of the current international situation, I have absolutely no idea when our next trip is, but when it does, you can be sure that a BNSF1995 Trip Report will follow.

I'm ready for school to be over. Might not get a graduation ceremony, but I'm an introvert so that's ok.

Anyone else on iPad or Mac laptops having trouble navigating safely around the forums? Lately I've been having trouble as just loading or scrolling around here causes popups to either Google's homepage or scam advertisements.

Do any of you ever get that feeling where you want to talk to someone you really like and want to meet, but you're to shy to introduce yourself? I get that feeling a lot

I get that feeling a lot You wouldn't be normal if you didn't get that feeling. I often get that feeling and still do get it. To tell the truth, I always did feel more comfortable with online chatting than talking with other people. I always find it hard to talk to people and am almost always quiet in public, mostly because I don't like talking (for the record I can get chatty but only if I feel like it). Anyone else ever feel more comfortable chatting with random strangers online than in real life?

Yeah, probably should've posted this BNSF1995 Trip Report last Friday. South Lake Tahoe - 7/12-7/17/20 * Sunday: Me, my mom, and my brother left around noon, and picked up my grandma (my aunt and uncle drove up separately using the Grant Line Rd. route). We only made one stop, that being an AMPM in Davis. The only train I saw was a switching job at the Benicia Bridge. Because we made no stops and traffic was light, we made good time and arrived at our destination around 3 PM. We didn't stay at our cabin like we usually do because it's occupied by a family that has turned it into a pig sty. Instead, we rented a house off Pioneer Trail. This house was NIIIIICE. It was two stories, with the top story being where you enter since it's built on the side of a hill. The top story has a kitchen, a family room with a TV, a half-bathroom, a full bathroom, and a bedroom with another TV (which my grandma took since she isn't good with stairs). The bottom level had a living room with a TV (said TV had the only traditional cable box in the house, as the other two made you go through Roku to access cable, and it was very finicky), reclining couch (where I spent much of my time), even an air hockey table that can flip over to become billiards, plus inserts to turn it into ping pong. There were three bedrooms: one with a queen (my uncle took that), and two with a pair of bunkbeds each (my mom and aunt took one room, and my brother and I took the other). Also on the bottom level were a full bathroom and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Shortly after we arrived, my mom and brother went shopping at the Safeway along US 50. Soon my aunt and uncle arrived, and we settled in for the night. * Monday: An uneventful day by any measure. The only time I left the house was to go walking around the neighborhood, wich, beucase of its hilly nature, was HELL. Dinner that night was takeout from Cold Water Brewery at US 50 and Sierra Blvd., near the cabin. * Tuesday: The first time I actually went somewhere all trip, this being to Pope Beach along SR 89. We were originally going to go to the Stream Profile, but while the visitor's center and trail were open, the profile itself wasn't. We walked around for a bit, looking at the mansions and going down to the beach itself, where we saw NOBODY wearing masks. It was also here that I saw the Stateline casinos, which I couldn't go to because, although they had ALOT of social distancing measures in place, my mom considered them a "petri dish". After we were done there, we went back to the house and settled in for the rest of the day. * Wednesday: The highlight of this day was going to the DMV. A few months ago, my grandma had her purse stolen in the parking lot of the Smart n' Final Extra near her house, and to say I wanted to find the perpetrator and do something not nice is an understatement. NOBODY messes with MY family. Anyway, we got all that squared away, then drove past the Stateline Casinos just so we could say we went to Nevada. The four casinos (Harrah's, Harveys, Montbleu, and Hard Rock) were indeed open, but the Lakeside Inn, where we had visited on our last day in August 2018, had completely shuttered due to losses incurred by the pandemic. After that, we headed for the Raleys to get some food. * Thursday: We WERE going to go hiking, but then a thunderstorm rolled in. We even got an Emergency Alert System activation for a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for El Dorado County (AKA the county South Lake Tahoe is in). So, we decided to take advantage of the game cabinet and play Monopoly instead. It was a grueling game, but in the end, I won by crippling my aunt with a hotel on Boardwalk, and a Community Chest card making her pay maintenance on her buildings finished her off. After that, I spent the rest of the night watching Star Trek movies on BBC America. * Friday: Our check-out time was 10 AM on the dot, so we hustled out the door. Me, my mom, and my brother left at around 11:20 AM after getting gas at the Raley's at the Y, and made very, very good time, only stopping once at the exact same minimart in Davis. That day I saw two trains: a switching job at a refinery near the Benicia Bridge, and a BART train in Walnut Creek that was made up of the new D and E cars. We arrived home at 2:23 PM. Take this report in, because I'm most likely not going anywhere else this year.

Is anyone having problem with the Microsoft Edge icon - the one for accessing the Internet? When I was trying to access the internet via it this evening, it was trying to start, and then closing for some reason, yet it was working fine up till today. We even altered some of the security settings to see if that would help it work, to no avail. Can anyone help, please? I'm currently accessing the internet via WebDiscover.
Stuart.

Merry Bloody Cold Gift-Giving Day! Not even gonna try to sugarcoat it this year!
My haul from my parents for this year is...smaller than I expected. Mainly because my dad is unemployed right now. Here's what I got so far:
* A new train calendar * New winter PJs * New slippers * LEGO City Undercover for Nintendo Switch * A USB webcam for my computer (at very long last) * $40 for Steam (my mom says all of the $50 cards were gone, so she got me a pair of $20 cards) * A little LEGO set of Poe Dameron's X-Wing * A case of six V8 Splash Island Strawberry juice bottles (since they don't seem to sell that particular flavor west of the Mississippi anymore) * A stocking full of candy
The presents from my grandma are already here, but we can't open them yet. Because COVID-19 is out-of-control in California, my grandma is in the high-risk group, and my uncle has still been going out for his locksmith job, Christmas with everyone else will be done via Zoom this year. I'll update this post when I get the rest of my haul (there's one particular gift from my grandma to me that's large, and I have a good idea what it is).

well goodbye guys, it was nice knowing you all, but i'm afraid that, i have to leave now. I like the Thomas community a lot, but it's just become too messed up for me. I've made all the contributions i could, and i'm happy with them. I've been part of the community ever since 2016, and many things have changed. I have many other reasons for leaving, but i won't say what they are, since they may offend or even anger many people. Anyways, goodbye guys, it was nice knowing you all

Speaking as a brit, I've watched a number of Larry King's interviews with a number of famous faces from Hank Azaria doing some of his Simpsons voices, Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Chris Jericho from Fozzy, the late great Stan Lee and a more recent one I watched being Karen Gillan. But its been a bit of a sad week hearing of the number of people who've died recently, from Captain Sir Tom Moore who kept Britain's spirits up during the first lockdown in 2020 and all the money he raised for our National Health Service with the hundred laps he achieved before his 100th Birthday to becoming a national treasure. And now most recently being Christopher Plummer, who many know best from The Sound of Music. Also portrayed a vengeful waring Klingon in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, which happens to be one of my favourite Star Trek films and Plummer was a great Klingon just as Christopher Lloyd was in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. But no matter what, they all leave everlasting legacies that'll live on for generations to come.
