I met David Crosby. We went to get his autograph after a concert. Seems like a nice guy; he was smiling and signing everything... lol.

Well, this isn't exactly on topic. But I think you'll forgive me under the circumstances. In the late 80s / early 90s I found out the the principle of the primary school in the town I lived (I delivered the mail to the town in Gippsland, Victoria (Australia)) had originally come from the UK and had lived in the same street as one Rev W. Awdry. He had visited his home and seen his model railway. I can kick myself now for not talking to him about it. No chance to do that now as he died recently.

Just got back from California two hours ago, and boy did I meet or see some famous people there! I stayed in the Malibu/L.A. area from Wednesday until today and here's who I met or saw: Ted Danson - (Met him having breakfast at a restaurant and shook hands with him.) Mark Hamill - (Not sure about him though, since I was in a foodmarket at the time and didn't approach him.) Paris Hilton - (Saw her drive by in an SUV, and to be honest, she's really not that beautiful. ) Jack Black - (Saw him across the street at Grauman's Chinese Theater for last night's premiere of Nacho Libre.) People I wanted to meet but didn't. : Jessica Alba Carlos Alazraqui Jeff Bennett Jodi Benson Phil LaMaar Grey DeLisle Tara Strong (Sigh) someday though...

I went to Movieworld last Thursday, and I: -Shook Batman's hand -Gave Bugs Bunny and Flash a handshake -Said hello to Austin Powers and the Police Academy Guy -Played a prank on Shrek* ;D Of course I knew they were people in costumes, but it was still intriguing. *= I tapped Shrek on the shoulder, and ran over to the other side behind him. He then turned around, to see no one there. I was behind him laughing quietly, as he was standing there for about 10 seconds seeing who tapped him. A lady who was nearby said "That boy tapped you on the shoulder"He turned around to see me, and I laughed at him. He then started chasing me! Of course, I ran and got away. It was fun.

Come to think of it, I've met the entire Boston Breakers team (I think they're in the MLS or something in the US). I have a soccer ball autographed by every one though you can barely see thhem now (it's been hanging around in the garage for a few years.)

I've met a few famous people, - Robot Wars champions Simon Scott & Ian Lewis (Team Razer)
- 2005 (& possibly 2006) British Touring Car champion Matt Neal
- Nuts (or is it Zoo?) babes Lucy Pinder and Michelle Marsh
- Ex-British Touring Car driver Luke Hines
- British Touring Car driver Tom Chilton
- Red Bull F1 driver Christian Klien (a very cheeky chappie when I went to get his autograph)
- Autosport cartoonist Jim Bamber (read his books The Pits to see why he is a great cartoonist)

I've met Mr. Lahey, Randy and Lucy from Trailer Park Boys, but I really doubt anybody here knows of them, as they're not too well-known outside of Canada. Oh, I'm certain that the tables will be turned on us for once, and we'll someday see a U.K. version titled: Lads of the Caravan Lot Here's another celebrity that only Canucks will recognize: CBC political and social commentator Rex Murphy was a guest speaker at our conference in Toronto today. Very witty man, Rex is, with his double-entendres. Had us all in stitches with his 'reflections' of Canadian history and politics. If you're interested in reading examples of his commentary, both serious and light, click on the link below www.cbc.ca/national/rex/index.html

I met Christopher Awdry at the West Wales Model Railway Exhibition in Aberaeron back in August. He was a very nice chap, too, and signed my copies of 'More About Thomas The Tank Engine' and 'Wilbert the Forest Engine'. And we chatted about the Egmont/HIT problem as well.

Ah nice one Stuart. I'd love to meet him again. Hopefully York model exhibition next year or even at Talyllyn Railway perhaps. I thought he was a great bloke too. Don't know how many of you will know or even heard of this guy but I went to school and college with Britain's most capped karting champion and one of the most succesful karters ever in Britain, Mark Fell. A friend and fellow racer Anthony Hamilton is currently on the front cover of Autosport magazine and I met him too when he used to race Karts with Mark. Anthony is a cracking driver and one of the best young talents this country has produced. Unfortunately for Mark he's been unlucky with getting funding for his racing and has suffered because of it. Best of luck to them both.

One of my schoolfriends, Jeremy Warmsley, seems to be on the up in the Indie music scene. To think I turned down the chance to write a musical with him... It was going to be a musical based on the Book of Revelation.

Update on who I've seen, musical wise - The Spinners and the Four Tops (big Motown groups) and the Beach Boys! Yeah, I know, not impressive to me, but to other people, then yes!

One thing I forgot to mention was that my sister, I think, met the former Spice Girl, Mel C. Can't remember where though.
