I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread for this yet. Anyway, to put it in short I lovePokemon games and have completed the Pokedex in every generation. I love battling, and if you want to battle me, I'll give you my friend code for my Pearl version. For all those who are hoping for a Gold/Silver remake, look here: bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Major_Pokémon_game_to_be_announced_this_monthHuzzah! ;D

*Raises hand* Yeah I play Pokemon, I've played since it's early days. It's a pretty addicting game, easy to learn, impossible to master. I don't see why some people are afraid to play it, a game is a game... Assassin...that could be any game, even Snap 2.

I play the games as well, though not as often as I used too. Throughout all the times I've played the games, I've only managed to complete the Pokedex once, and that was in the original Red/Blue games.
Oh and Assassin, that link you provided could just be more fan speculation, although I'll be more than happy if it's true! Gold/Silver were the best Pokemon games, and after the remakes of Red and Blue as Fire Red and Leaf Green, I have reason to believe anything's possible. Time will tell though when they'll actually be remade.

A snap 2 would actually be neat.

That's what's gotten me excited. Even if it's not a GS remake, I'm a MOTHER fan. I'm used to gaming disappointments!

I'm a little behind on Pokemon, so I'm confused about these gold and silver balls. They remind me of the GS Ball from the Orange Island episodes.

1: Magmar 2: Feraligatr 3:Mightyena 4:Honchkrow I love the 1st generation best. It had easily the best Pokemon. Terranitar(Terror+Tyranitar) would like to have a word with you. My favorites would be: 1: Arcanine, Nidoking, Gyarados 2: Skarmory, Tyranitar, Suicune, Slowking, Scizor 3: Sceptile, Blaziken, Salamence, Metagross, Absol, Rayquaza 4: Torterra, Honchkrow, Lucario, Rhyperior, Palkia, Giratina, Staraptor That's a lot from the 3rd and 4th generations, but their good at doing what they do best. Edit: Assassin, did you happen to trade to complete Diamond and Pearl's Pokedex?

I honestly think Pokémon is too big now. I lost all interest after Ruby & Sapphire, and the number of Pokémon just keeps going up. With the original 151 it was a decent challenge. With 251 it was even better (And I loved how you could explore Kanto in G/S/C). Beyond that, I just thought "Okay, please stop now". Most of the new Pokémon aren't as appealing as the originals - Butterfree and Beautifly - honestly, which looks better? I only really like 2 post G&S Pokémon: Mudkip and Lucario. Mudkip because of the meme and Lucario because of Brawl.
Yes, I do liek Mudkipz. I told you so you herd it from me.

Well, I am currently on Silver and Gold, as I prefer G2. As TurboJ said, it's the good stuff before Pokemon went all silly. My team currently consists of: Level 96 Tyranitar Level 100 Meganium Level 92 Blastoise Level 100 Charizard Level 100 Mewtwo Level 5 Eevee (Hatched this morning! ) I'm also looking at Pokemon Ranger for DS, as it seems a unique turn in the games.

I wouldn't say it went silly, the storyline has gotten a lot more serious in my opinion. Sure, Team Magma and Aqua were crazy enviormentalists but they were pretty evil, I felt Team Rocket didn't do much to reach their goal, besides taking over mafia-style.

Guess I'll post my teams as well. All Pokemon are level 100.
I've got 4, one for each generation:
Gen 1 - Blastoise - Nidoking - Alakazam - Kabutops - Charizard - Rhyperior
Gen 2 - Feraligatr - Espeon - Tyranitar - Scizor - Steelix - Typloshion
Gen 3 - Blaziken - Salamence - Flygon - Aggron - Metagross - Registeel
Gen 4 - Torterra - Garchomp - Darkrai - Diagla - Giratina - Spiritomb
I've got back-ups for each team but I won't bother listing em.

Edit: Assassin, did you happen to trade to complete Diamond and Pearl's Pokedex? Yeah, I abused all the Feebas I transferred from Sapphire on the GTS. Those things sell like mad. Anyhoo, my teams aren't great, but that's because I use to Pokemon I like rather than the ones everyone uses: Electivire Magmortar Honchkrow Kingdra Medicham Dragonite Wailord Marowak Jynx Seviper Slaking Breloom Kingler Blaziken Staraptor Spiritomb Nidoking Nidoqueen Jolteon Armaldo Shiftry Arcanine Kabutops Salamence Hypno Feraligatr Weavile Gengar Manectric Typhlosion Rampardos Magnezone Ninetales Poliwrath Vaporeon Toxicroak Rhyperior Muk Flygon Porygon-Z Aerodactyl Garchomp Once again, PM me for Friend code, though I'll probably lose. I don't advise challenging Elizabeth/GotSTEAM? though, as I've only won ONCE against her, and I have a pretty good Pokemon battling record.
