I've got a bit of a beef with MySpace at the moment. My good friend Billy posted a bulletin about Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truth" documentary along with a Youtube video of a news report that exposed it. A short while later, and it was deleted.
Another one of my friends responded with a bulletin that read:
Propoganda is an effective thing, especially when it is cleverly used upon easily influenced teens (who are the primary users of MySpace).
My good friend Billy posted a bulleting that contends that Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" is, for all intents and purposes, a scam. MySpace wasted no time in deleting this bulletin.
Now, whether or not you believe in the idea of manmade global warming, surely you will agree that MySpace has crossed the line in supressing first ammendment rights to promote their political agenda.
MySpace puts up all sorts of global warming propoganda, but anyone who thinks differently is not allowed to express their opinion?
Congrats, MySpace. Instead of using bulletins as a means of freely expressing ideas, let's limit it to surveys and dumbass kids thinking that if they "Repost This" they'll get kissed in 5 minutes.
I really hope that's not the reason it got deleted, but it seems likely.
Any thoughts?
