Still, can't complain, seen the first two episodes of Operation Overdrive and it looks like THAT will be a saving grace for 2007/8. Heard nice rumours that it's due to begin airing in the UK in July - which totally kicks ass! ;D If you don't want to ruin Operation Overdrive I suggest that you don't watch Boukenger, the follow that Ranger episode was taken from a two parter and the introduction of the Silver Ranger took about 4 episodes before he fully joined the team. Don't get me wrong Operation Overdrive does seem to have a fairly decent storyline, but I ruined it for myself by watching Boukenger which developed characters first then dealt with tying up loose ends throughout over 49 episodes that are longer than the Power Rangers ones.

It seems the teamup cast for the 15th anniversary special for PR:OO has been confirmed: withthewill.net/index.php?topic=3469.msg54264And no one knows why Bridge has a red SPD shirt. Maybe he's just borrowed it for the photo or he's come from further in the future or something where he's been promoted to red ranger... Anyhow, the plot for the teamup special apprently involves Rita and Zedd's son getting revenge on the Power Rangers, according to a Japanese magazine scan that was put up on Wikipedia (which also featured Mercury Ranger before he showed up). Slight problem with the plot though, Rita and Zedd were turned good, so how are they supposed to get away with their offspring being evil? (assuming it's the same Rita in Mystic Force which a number of fans assume, that's also going to open a can of worms) Unless someone else gets involved...

Thats interesting then, with the different Ranger combinations it looks like we could see all new footage for this episode. Maybe our new SPD Red Ranger is actually AKA Red in this one with the technology SPD have. That would allow them to recycle Boukenger Vs Super Sentai Footage, who knows whats going to happen!

Perhaps Rita and Zedd's son was only a baby when the twosome were turned good, (born before it), so perhaps he still has evil in his veins. Could you name the cast anyway, please?

Rita and Zedd's son? This'll be interesting; a kid with a face like a radiator and visible metallic ribs, and possibly even a screeching voice to match. Hell, if you thought you got bullied at school, spare apart for Zeddy Jr. Either way, I'm intrigued to watch the episode (although it'll probably be through YouTube; they haven't even started airing Mystic Force here yet) On another note, I happened to buy the two Power Ranger movies last week (along with Magic Railroad, hence the sig). Have to say, I never realised how much Angel Grove looks like Sydney. It even has it's own harbour bridge! It's laughable how obvious it is now (although I didn't realise it at the time, so it's not all bad). I quite enjoyed the movie though, despite some parts that could've been explained better. Another original movie script to track down Turbo, whilst ruining the franchise, wasn't as bad as I remembered. It seemed to have more action than the original movie (ie. more fight scenes), and the Megazord was actualy more true to the series than the poorly computer animated Ninja megazord. However, I found the plot quite weak (more suited to video) and, like many, I really didn't care for the new blue ranger. Speaking of that, the kid who played him must have suffered from major depression or neglect at some point; he joins the cast, and suddenly, Zordon, Alpha 5, the other four power rangers and Ernie leave Angel Grove, and even Bulk and Skull tried turning into chimps for a while to avoid seeing him as much. Bloody hell, the only one who stayed was Dt. Stone. OK, I've rambled enough for one night!

I'd better check for that the next time I see it.

I used to watch it as a kid, and I'm surprised that it's still around now. Albeit with a new cast.

Just something I've noticed about the episode titles. With SPD, all episode titles were 1 word long. In Mystic Force, they were 2 words long, and now, from what I've seen of Operation Overdrive, all episode titles are 3 words long. I wonder, does this actually mean anything?

Apparently, thats the producer Bruce Kalish's idea. Apparently, he also worked on the show Black Hole High, and every episode in the first series had one word titles, and season two had two word titles.

I've thought of asking: has anyone heard of the album: 'A Rock Adventure', featuring songs from the original Power Rangers series? I haven't the CD myself, if there is one - I don't know if it was released over here. But if featured songs like the Power Rangers Main Theme, 'Go Green Ranger', 'White Ranger Tiger Power' and so on. My fav songs were:
Main Theme (Full Version) Go Green Ranger Go White Ranger Tiger Power We Need A Hero Fight.
What's yours?

I recently got a MMPR video with the episodes Bad Reflection on you and Doomsday parts 1 + 2. Is it me or is Austin St. John, who played Jason, in Neighbours of all things?

Neighbours? Nah, I doubt it. Such a well known show, someone would've noticed beforehand. There's been plenty of rumors about what he has been doing since he finished on PR though, but the less said about those the better.
Come to think of it, the only one I've seen on anything outside of Power Rangers (excluding other Saban shows like Masked Rider, Beetleborgs etc.) is Amy Jo Johnson, and that was some really dodgy high school film (Killing Mr. Griffin, I think), as well as some show called What About Brian on Channel 7.

I hit a Power Rangers site with a couple of download links: www.ranger-retrocenter.com/music.htmCareful though, that album runs like a story book. Ron Wasserman produced some classic hits - Clean copies of'We need a Hero' , 'Fight', '(Call the) 541', 'Combat' and 'Hope for the World' are all on my MP3 player. And if you haven't guessed - My name is based on Wasserman's credit ' The Mighty RAW'.

I got that cassette when I was comming back from France back in 1996 and my favourite track from that Album is "We Need a Hero." For a while that was my favourite album and the talking really used to wind me up, even after I stopped watching Power Rangers. Why did they release the single that they did instead of Go Go Power Rangers (Long Version), that was much easier to listen to instead of the mix they released! I just with they could have carried on the album for each series in the way that Super Sentai have, maybe we could have good guitar solos to listen to with English Lyrics for a change (rant over).

Some random information.
Power Rangers Operation Overdrive starts airing in the UK on July 28th, with a double bill, 3 times that day. I'm not sure if they're the same episodes each time, or different ones.
The series after Power Rangers Operation Overdrive is called Power Rangers Jungle Fury.

Behind the scenes of Putty on the Brain....... fairly low quality, and some of it has been seen before.

Yeah I've put some of that clip on this thread before. it was that part where Billy looks annoyed at Tommy. I've heard a rumour in real life Tommy didn't get on with Rocky as well.
