I didn't miss it. I thought it was an excellent episode and the crash was amazing. Good job the little guy has recovered. Top Gear wouldn't be the same without him. Also on this series there will be the footage of the diesel smashing into a car on a level crossing.

Did anyone see Jamie Oliver in a reasonably priced car? He can't even drive, let alone cook!!
Hamster had a stroke of luck in that crash. But did they actually check the tyres on the car? It doesn't look like it.

First ep in the new series was good. It's great to see Hammond up and well. It's still a wonder that he actually pulled through, but I'm glad all the same! The 'Roadwork' challenge was pretty funny, too (though it doesn't top the 'Caravan Holiday' challenge from the last series ;D). Always makes me chuckle to see the hosts at each other's throats

I agree. Did anyone noticed when Hammond was at the quarry, he pointed to a calendar dated September? Within a matter of weeks, maybe days, he would have had his crash. Amazing recovery from Hamster, great to see him back.

Funny, really. For someone who isn't that intrested in cars much, I really enjoy watching Top Gear, hence why I have to comment on the beginning of the new series.
Great to see Hammond back. He's one of my fave presenetrs aside from Clarkson, and seeing his crash and having him discuss about it was shocking and - from Hammond's cringes - rather amusing.
And yes, I cried with laughter at the "Roadworks" challange, espicially as how Clarkson lost his megaspeaker. Something you would have expected to see in a comedy rather than real life, but then again, I stand correct! ;D

I thougt the Roadworks scene was hilarious when Jeremy would not shut up, and James, I think, snatched and destroyed his megaphone. I think Richard was lucky to survive after that crash.

Having watched this week's American special, I can't stop laughing. Seriously, there's just no limit to the madness that these guys get up to. Particular parts that amused me: - "Big Stig" - Hammond almost going into Aligator-infested water. - Jeremy arriving with a cow on his car. - Jeremy and Richard breaking James' air-conditioning. - Jeremy's car shower. - Angry rednecks almost killing the three presenters and the crew. - James' car constantly running low on electricity. Saw an advert for next week's episode, looks like it'll be great.

That episode was hilarious! I laughed so much that it hurt. Even this weeks was funny, trying to launch a robin reliant into the skies. Wished it had worked 100% though. Still the explosion was cool!
200th Post for me! Yeah!

Me neither! Did anyone catch this weeks epsiode with the train and level crossing collision? For anyone who didn't, try and catch the repeat on Wednesday i think it is. They ram a Renault Espace with a class 31. Very nice mess and I won't say anymore!

I recorded the American special of Top Gear on my Sky+ planner. And that, I've gotta say, was such an excellent episode - my dad and I couldn't stop laughing . I just wish I'd seen the episode with Richard Hammond's crash and the episode with Simon Pegg - I missed both of those.

I saw the last episode in the series, too. Shame, really, but at least they went out in style. The Disasterous Limosenes were brilliant, espicially the final challange of transporting their clebs to the Awards Show. Classic moments that! ;D

I've seen most of the challenges in this series and the limos one was definitely one of the best, I was very nearly in tears watching the trials especially when Clarkson's got stuck and he got drenched after getting out.
The best challenge by far had to be the one when they turned cars into boats, good old sail power defeated the canal barge VW camper and 4x4 with 250 hp on the back, both CQD! I was in tears both times I saw that challenge!

After trying to find out who The Stig is, all I can say is.......? Dunno! I know the last Stig was an ex-F1 racing car tester but not a racing driver as such though he had raced in other racing series. Apparently the show is/was due to be aired about October/November time. In recent railway magazines there have been pictures of a Class 31 loco being smashed into a people carrier on a level crossing to warn motorists of the danger of jumping crossing lights etc. The shots were filmed by the crews of Top Gear. Saw that on shoutfile. It's got a bit of Top Gear Humour to it-Think! Always wear a high-visibility jacket.

For people in Australia, Series 8 of Top Gear begins tonight at 7:30 pm on SBS.
It's a brand new series, never before seen on Australian television.
Hopefully, they will show Series 9 in summer.
