This may intriguing a few game show bods but remember the Krypton Factor, a Granada Television gameshow that ran for 17 years? Well ITV have revived it recently www.itv.com/kryptonfactor/Overall today's edition wasn't bad, but it seems to have fallen in the trap of noughties gameshows with overpowering CGI and cluttering graphics, the green K isn't bad itself but is all the loud bangs and clangs unnecessary? The original version itself was toned down and simple in terms of presentation even during it's final years. It was nice to see the observation and physical rounds were kept intact but they don't carry the Krypton magic IMO. I wonder what Gordon Burns and Steve Coogan would say about the remake. :?

I'm a pretty big Game show fan myself, although I've been limited to seeing them on YouTube now since GSN went to being a Cable box channela few years back. Anyway, my favorite game shows are (in no particular order): Wheel of Fortune The Price is Right Family Feud Family Fortunes (UK Version of the above) Press Your Luck Password (any incarnation) Scrabble Also, if anyone could ever use a good laugh from game shows, visit this guy's YouTube page: www.youtube.com/user/stupidgsa He has video clips of all the outrageous and dumbest answers ever given on game shows.

Has anyone seen the new show "Trivial Pursuit: America Plays"? It's basically taking the classic board game and bringing it to life. I've tried playing it online and it's pretty cool.

For the benefit of the UK members, it looks as though, next year, Challenge TV are reviving the tea-time favourite from the 80s & 90s - Blockbusters.
Have you ever wanted to complete a Gold Run? Do you think you could stand the pressure on the Hot Spot?
TalkbackTHAMES is on the lookout for contestants to take part in a brand new series of the popular TV quiz show 'Blockbusters' for Challenge TV.
We are looking for outgoing people with good general knowledge and bags of enthusiasm to take part in the show that proves or disproves that two heads are better than one!
You can play as a solo contestant or as a pair with a friend or relative.
If you are over 18 APPLY NOW by emailing blockbusters@talkbackthames.tv
I, for one, am interested in becoming a contestant on it. I wonder if anyone else will be interested?

Yes, I saw it on the news earlier today. I will always remember Bob for being the host of Blockbusters and Call My Bluff - Blockbusters especially, where he'd occasionaly chuckle at some of the contestants' responses to questions, their mascots and the infamous "Can I have a "P" please, Bob." R.I.P. Bob Holness.

Bob Holness was such a great host and he'll be hugely missed by us all. In fact at this very moment, I'm watching Blockbusters on Challenge in tribute to the great man. R.I.P. Bob Holness

Let me tell you an underrated game show you should check out if you get the chance, both the old and new version. Press Your Luck i feel is one of the most underrated game shows of all time. I found it fun when they did the revival, especially as that was my first exposure to the show, and got me to learn more about said show. Trust me, if you have Hulu+Live TV, it is worth catching the revival during the summer!

Yeah I remember watching reruns of the 80s run of Press Your Luck back in the early 2000s on Game Show Network here in the states. They also had the (original) revival, which I wasn't as fond of compared to the OG series.
The current version is pretty good though.
