If there is no need for this thread or there already is one, then by all means delete it.
So whats your favorite game shows and why? What do you think of the newer game shows?
My favorite Game show would have to be Takeshis Castle! Brillient show, laugh at everytime, the only problem I see, is that I have never seen an episode were somebody wins. But that makes it more funny! ;D

I loved Going For Gold when I was a kid. There was also Family Fortunes, Celebrity Squares, Wipeout, Crosswits, Countdown, Fifteen to One, Keynotes, Catchphrase and Chain Letters that I loved too, oh there's more, but I don't want to waste space. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is my favourite because of the catchphrases "is it your final answer?", "We don't wanna give you that", etc that make me laugh. The only thing I hate on the show is contestants wasting their time laughing and joking with Chris when they should be making up their mind, but Chris always tells them to 'take their time'.

Who here watched Bullseye when it was on?
IIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNN One.........you'll never go hungry again with this superb fridge/freezer And BULLY"S SPECIAL PRIZE.......a speedboat, ALWAYS! Now lets have a look at what you could've won!
My brother loves the show, and personally, I enjoyed watching it on Challenge TV whilst I was in the UK, mainly to laugh at the outdated clothes, hairstyles, and cameras the size of TV's. Plus, I also enjoyed watching Peter Kay taking the p*ss out of it.
When I was younger, another favorite was Catchphrase: That's a good answer, but it's not the one Then Roy Walker left, and it lost it's charm
Nowadays I'm not a gmeshow fan; mind u, most gameshows in Oz are axed within a few weeks (or moved to an earlier time slot with smaller cash prizes); Millionaires the only one thats survived

But that makes it more funny! ;D Takeshi's great from what I hear, but nothing beats the version of it we get here in America. It's nothing but footage of the show pointlessly redubbed into smutty and vulgar jokes, and it never gets old. Can't even call it much of a gameshow, actually.... I'm quite a big fan of any old gameshows still on air through GSN. Match Game, The Family Feud, Press Your Luck (rest in peace, Mr. Tomarken), etc...

You mean MXC? Most Extreme Elimation Challenge (shouldn't it really be MXEC, or MEEC then? ) Yeah, that show's pretty funny; I love watching it, although they do seem to show the same episodes alot. I'm not a big gameshow fan, except for a 90's one from here in Canada, called "Uh Oh!", with a ridiculous-looking host named Wink Yahoo. It used to air on YTV, and it was hilarious, cause whenever the kids on it got a question wrong, they'd have have to go stand in a little glass booth, and have a bucket of slime dropped onto them by "The Punisher", who would make bizarre jokes about the question they got wrong! ;D

Countdown is my favourite gameshow. I always play against the TV to see who's better. My average score is 100+. If anyone wants some music, I have some files. My second favourite gameshow is Going for Gold. Here is a link for the page: spacemonkeys.freewebspace.com

I like watching gameshows every so often.... normally anything thats funny or involves word puzzles.
A new game show in the UK, Deal or NoDeal, in which contestants must discover the contents of their box, which has a large amount of money inside by eliminating everyone else's, and recieving offers from the banker of an amount that may be worth more or less than what's in their box after every 3 boxes opened...... is nominated for a BAFTA.

I'm quite a fan of The Einstein Factor myself A new game show in the UK, Deal or NoDeal, in which contestants must discover the contents of their box, which has a large amount of money inside by eliminating everyone else's, and recieving offers from the banker of an amount that may be worth more or less than what's in their box after every 3 boxes opened...... is nominated for a BAFTA. *bursts out laughing* Sorry - that's been going round in Aus for a few years now. The host, Andrew O'Keefe, is one of the most annoying people you could have had hosting the biz. To see that nominated for a BAFTA...geez British TV must be struggling. I'm not a big gameshow person myself, really.

I only watch 1 Game Show and that is Deal Or No Deal. Noel Edmunds is a brilliant presenter for that show. I sometime watch the repeats of Bullseye on Sky (Can't remember what channel though).

I beg of you! Please do NOT delete this thread, as I might enjoy it! I have a fair few favorite gameshows. Bullseye is one of them - a Thomas train set was one of many prizes on Bully's Prize Board (1988), but it wasn't won, sadly . Another ganeshow I still love is the Crystal Maze - Richard O'Brien of the Rocky Horror Show at his wittiest and most smugness yet. Here's a question for you lot to answer: What do the Crystal Maze (Series 1 only), Thomas and Friends and TUGS all have in common? (I'd tell you, but I thought I' let you have a go yourselves. Tee Hee!)

My favorite Game show has to be Blinkity Blanks it is a game show were graham Kennedy kept saying these quotes
E.g-Thomas met with an engine called ___________
(the line means blank)
Then the person have to guess the word that may suit to the sentence Then Graham comes up and told the person what word should suit the sentences
E.g- Thomas met up with an Engine called ___________
Then the person said the name for Example like
Percy
then Graham talk to the contestant what word they have if they have the word Percy the person who said that word get one each point if the contestant have the wrong answer saying like James the person who got the word Percy keeps the first point but doesn't get another and if the contestants got the right word that he said he will win $1000 and Verse another person again
I always watch it at 9:00 PM on TV1 on Foxtel digital

P.S- If people don't know who is graham kennedy is he is an Australian comedian which we call him the king he died In 2004 which was really sad for all of his fans

Anyone in the states should see the new show on CBS called Game Show Marathon. It's on on Wednesday nights and Thursday nights. Each night, celebrities play a different game show to win prizes for a home viewer, and the celebrity who is the winner of the whole competition wins $100,000 for their favorite charity. So far they've played Price Is Right, Let's Make A Deal., Beat the Clock, and Press Your Luck. They're still going to have a few more: Card Sharks, The Match Game, and the last two remaining contestants will play Family Feud.
