Both of thses shows are my fave from my childhood. Scrooge McDuck was great in Ducktales. I've seen some episodes recently and it's as good as I remember it.
Darkwing Duck was also good. Some Ducktales characters even have cameos.
Launchpad McQuack is in both of those shows and I wish he was still in the Disney universe.
The movie was good too. I have it taped.

Oh yeah! I remember both of these! Both were great, though if I had to choose which one would be a fave, I would have to choose Ducktales. It had some truly great characters such as Launchpad, Mrs. Beakly (sp?), the Beagle Boys and of course, Scrooge himself.

As a kid I loved Ducktales, not a fan of Darkwing, but Ducktales was great. There was something for everyone, action, comedy, plus a character named Doofus.

I enjoyed both shows as well. Ducktales was good when I was in the mood for an adventure. Darkwing Duck was good when I was in the mood to laugh! I'll never for get this one time in an episode of Darkwing Duck when Darkwing was celebrating Christmas. He had reprogrammed his gun to shoot decorations to decorate the tree. Just before he fired, he said: "Let's get decadent!"

There's a few Darkwing Duck episodes on youtube. I've noticed that some voice actors make their characters sound like previous characters they've voiced from other shows. E.g
Goslyn = Chucky Finster MegaVolt = Krusty the clown There was one character who sounded like Mrs Krabappel from the Simpsons.

There's another Ducktales DVD coming out soon too. There was going to be another series to Darkwing Duck but it got cancelled. It was a pity as there were a few things that were unfinished.
I remember one Darkwing episode where Ducktales villans were seen in the background. Plus I've read Scrooge also has a cameo in one scene.

I remember DuckTales used to be the next show after Thomas when Series 3 was doing the rounds on ITV in 1992/93. What I liked about the programme looking back on it now is that it was a realistic cartoon (like if a character fell into a 25,000 deep ravine, they don't survive the aftermath like they would do in most cartoons). I also used to remember Darkwing Duck being on ITV of a Sunday morning in late 1994. Great times!

Ah, another couple of my favorites, along with Sonic SatAM. Think we've got the Season 1 DVD set for Ducktales.

I've got it for Christmas by Metamorphical, I really enjoyed it. Funny enough it was only intended to be a one off story arc. Now it's a monthly issue. Here is my review on Duck Knight returns. It is spoiler free just so it doesn't tempt anyone else to read the sopilers (I have to admit I'm finding it hard to resist them ) The story is Darkwing's hometown is being run by a company called Quackworks which seem to run everything including crime which is being delt by their crimebots. Darkwing has stopped being Darkwing and has got a job with them. He and launchpad have gone their seperate ways and Gosolyn has gone to a private school, When the Crimebots become overly harsh Darkwing dons his outfit and gets dangerous once again to look into Quackworks and find out all about it and find out who the mastermind behind it is. While all this is happening, Quackerjack is bringing the fearsome four back together (not fearsome five Negaduck was left out delibratly) The story itself was excellent. It has been along time since the cartoon has finished and it would certinly work as a cartoon movie. There are alot of suprise cameos (gadget from rescue rangers and Flounder from Little mermaid to name a few. You even see Optimus Prime on a toy shelf) including Ducktales characters. There is something from the cartoon series which is concluded (or is it ) All your fave Darkwing characters appear including Liquidator who even returns with his slogan based catchphrases. Negaduck is underused but fret not he's the main villan in the next story arc. The biggest highlight for me was Quackerjack. Originaly Tad Stones (series creator) intended for him to be like the Joker but instead they made him silly and eccentric in the cartoon. But Quackerjack is more psychotic and alot like Joker in Duck Knight returns. He is the acting leader of the fearsome four. Saying Negaduck's name when he's around sends him into a rage. Bottom line: This comic is a must read for Darkwing duck fans. I liked the Ducktales characters appearing. It seems Boom! really care about what they're doing and the future for DW looks bright. There is alot in store such as characters returning, (friends and foes) lots of easter eggs and more suprise apperences such as Negaduck joining forces with a Ducktales villan and some comic covers are based on iconic comic covers. A future one will parody a very iconic Batman cover DW really has adapted well into comic books and I hope Boom! keep up the good work This comic gets 10/10 for me

I loved Ducktales and Darkwing Duck when I was a kid, a great spirit of adventure and I even love the Ducktales Movie, very funny and entertaining. I remember Ducktales being on Saturday Disney here in Australia every Saturday morning with comedy like of The Beagle Boys, Launchpad, Huey, Duey and Louie and even Scrooge McDuck. Even Donald Duck have an appearance in the first episode.
Launchpad was my no.1 favourite when I was a kid. Darkwing Duck, I remember watching it every afternoon when I come home school on channel 7, Launchpad was in it but sadly not much Ducktales characters were in it. But both of these were my favourite Disney shows when I was a kid.

I rediscovered Darkwing a while ago along with The Tick, both are fantastic and mostly forgotten, yet still contemporary super hero spoofs and i've been meaning to get some of the comics- love the title' The Duck Knight Returns" sounds 'terrifying' also 'Crisis on Infinite Darkwings' sounds like a great spoof of DC's big event type series. I've got most of season two left to watch, but a stand out line was when Morgana revealed why she was making the sleeping citizens loot their own houses. "I'll be able to steal enough money to finally pay off my student loans!"

Darkwing Duck is certainly one of my favorites of the Disney Afternoon along with Rescue Rangers. I like Ducktales as well but the former titles are just more special to me. A favorite episode of mine is 'Night of the Living Spud' the one with the potato vampire monster. The redneck truckers crack me up. - "There was a big tater in the road!" - "Larry get the Diesel fuel".
The Boom! Comics are really good. They have good stories and great artwork although fans got all in a twist over the forth one F.O.W.L. Disposition. I might need spoiler tags to really go into the controversies with it and the finale crossover comic with Ducktales is kinda meh. Its a pity the Rescue Rangers comics they put out weren't nearly as good and the Ducktales one were pretty much half-grassed.

The Ducktales/Darkwing crossover was awful. It had continuity errors. People get worried when more than one villain is used in a superhero movie. The crossover had SIXTEEN villains and don't get me started on how Darkwing defeats the villain. I won't put it in a spoiler as I want people to be shocked by it but I'll tell you it's out of character.
As a huge fan of Darkwing I have all the comics and I love the way Quackerjack has been developed. The best thing about the Darkwing comic is the artwork is really good. (Look out for Miss Piggy in a crowd scene, Optimus Prime on a toy shelf and R2D2 in FOWL's workshop). My fave stories are Duck Knight returns, Crisis on Infinate Darwkings (great read) and the annual story Don't Toy with me. FOWL arc was predictable for me and the ending was bizarre.
You'll be pleased to know that Darkwing is returning to comic and the first print which is now available to buy on Amazon will be all the story arc bar the Duckaltes crossover (I think it's safe to say that has now been erased from continuity) including the annual stories and a prequel story featuring a surprise character. Not only that it will lead to an ongoing comic series. The story arc will have some changes and new lines to keep the Darkwing humour which was lacking in the original series especially the end. I am really looking forward to this. I am on a DW forum that has the leading writer as a member and I can tell you guys he is a fan of Darkwing and it's in good hands while he's around.
