I thought I'd remake a thread about Japanese animation as it was one of my favourite threads back in the old forum.
To start off, here's my favourite anime list: The Gundam series The Transformers series (Although Generation 1 was American) Spriggan Dragonball Z Gravion Samurai Deeper Kyo Samurai X/Ruroni Kenshin Naruto Ghost in the Shell Neon Genesis Evangelion Martian Succesor Nadesico Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 Tekkaman Blade/Teknoman Outlaw Star Cowboy Bebop Blue Submarine 6 Full Metal Panic!
Here's a list of my least favourite anime series: Crayon Shin Chan Sailor Moon (English version only) Almost any series dealt by 4Kids Entertainment Xenosaga The Animation

Hmmm...... I do like watching Anime, however I'm fairly limited to dubs, such as:
Yu-Gi-Oh! Sailor Moon Pokemon Cardcaptors Digimon Cowboy Bebop
There are more, however I can't think of them off of the top of my head - altough I have a very kind friend who can supply me with so many different animes though.

I'm a big fan of One Piece and Naruto, although I prefer the original Japanese versions to the crappy American dubs now being shown on Cartoon Network. The same goes for Dragonball/Z/GT and Yu-Gi-Oh - admittedly I haven't seen any Yu-Gi-Oh episodes in Japanese, but I don't think anything could be worse than that god-awful voice they give Yugi in the American version! I also like Hikaru no Go, which should be making its way onto DVD in America this month if I'm not mistaken...featuring Sam Vincent, AKA Double D, as Hikaru (according to the credits of the sample DVD included in this month's Shonen Jump).

If anyone wants to see a comparison of the Japenese to American Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes, I can recommend this site: www.yu-jyo.netIt's quite good - and check the FAQ for a link to Xena's Screencaptures website, she has some Japenese screenies there.

My mainstays are:: -- The Big O (You've got questions, I've got answers. I'm the master of Memories) -- Lupin the Third (Zenigata w00t!) -- Trigun (Vash = awesome) -- FLCL (...eyebrows...) -- Case Closed ("Kid Detective Conan" is what it was originally called I think) -- Outlaw Star (haven't seen that in ages) -- Full Metal Alchemist (WHO YOU CALLIN' A SHRIMP!?) -- STEAMBOY (amazingly awesome kick@$$, deep, and spectacular movie)
Shows I dislike with a passion:: -- Inuyasha (sorry Jim) -- Sailor Moon (english dub) -- Dragonball GT -- Dragonball Z (post-Freeza saga) -- Azumanga Daoh (sp?? ...at least Inuyasha had some fragments of a cheesy plot)
Shows I used to like but then disliked with a passion:: -- Pokemon (Ironically my first anime, but then it sucked after the Orange League series...still have the cards tho) -- Digimon (original series was cool, but after the big Myotismon (sp?) was destroyed it went downhill)

Yeah Pokemon was Ok to start with, but it's get boring. The same thing alway happen to the characters, e.g. Team Rocket get blown into the air, Brock fails to find a girl and so on. Plus the show really has no ending, it alway to be continued.
I'm a fan of digimon, but some of the episodes are somewhat awful.

Digimon started losing itself when biomerging appeared. But at least with that in Tamers, it was still the human and digimon, but in Fronteir, it's just the human.
And, although it's still good, Inuyasha started going downhill when Naraku escaped AGAIN! And the Jewel Shards are scattered again.

I'm not really a fan of anime, I must say. But one series that I do enjoy is Ranma 1/2. It's so weird that you just gotta laugh. Deliberately so, I might add. However, it's definitely not kids' stuff...
Akira was pretty good, as well.
