Noo... I'll try that and let you know if it works... Thanks for the advice. No good... My dad thinks it's the humidity level being off.

Eh, that would probably completely kill it. Computers don't like water.

Unfortunately we have none of those items in the same room. I'll try to find out what the router is though. It's just odd to me about this interference coming from nowhere

Even though it's been almost 7 years since the last post in this thread, double-posting still feels odd to me, but what can you do?
Today is my 26th birthday, and I decided, since I've saved up some money, that it's time to replace my laptop. I currently own a white MacBook that I've had for almost a decade (I don't know exactly when I got it, but I suspect 2007). First of all, I've always been an Apple fan and always will be, so I'm going to get another one. Second of all, I've decided that since this one has lasted me so long, I should spend the extra money and get the most top of the line MacBook Pro I can get. My only concern is that it really is expensive (almost $3,000 at the end of the day), and I've been instilled with the doubt that I may be going to far.
I want to do more video editing and Photoshop work in the future, despite the fact that I hardly do any of that now, so I want to future-proof myself to that. But considering that I don't do much of that work now, am I doing the right thing in spending so much on a computer that I may or may not be able to use to its fullest potential? Should I get a cheaper one that's still pretty good?

As of September 2016, I officially have an All in One HP computer since my XP Compaq clamped out around the time when my Grandma has passed away after nearly a decade (I personally believe that she took it with her as a way of having to carry so much on her way to heaven).
Anyway, my new computer is all good and I'm steadily getting used to it - as well as my new editing software which I brought earlier on in the year.

As of late 2012, I been using an 21.5 inch iMac for years and it's still running smoothly thus far.
Before that I used a Compaq Vista laptop for a good three years until nearing the Autumn of 2012 when the booting takes a long while, and some programs had been running slowly and sometimes ended up freezing and crashed.

I have a custom-built desktop PC which I mainly use for gaming, though I also use it for watching videos and general web browsing :3
It has a GTX 1070 graphics card, an i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. Though I'm always upgrading it when the need arises, hehe.

After almost a decade, I finally have a new computer! I bought a MacBook Pro to replace my current MacBook, which I don't know how much longer it could run but I don't want to take a chance anymore. I have 3.1 gHz processor, Radeon video card, and over 400 GB of storage. Now, here's my question to you: I'm just setting it up today, and I was wondering if I should use Migration Assistant to automatically transfer all my files or not.
On the one hand, I would like as much of my stuff on my old computer as possible. On the other hand, I'm thinking that with a new computer comes a fresh start, and that maybe I should manually transfer only the files I know I need. I'm also afraid of having old settings override new settings that I don't even know about. I could be changing the way my computer should act without realizing it.
What do you guys think? Keep in mind, I've never really synced up my iPhone with my computer before and maybe this should be a new habit I should get into.

General computer question: I was having technical issues with my MacBook several months ago, and I want to replace it with the new MacBook Air. Is there a way to transfer everything from one computer to the other so that not just files, but also things like pre-saved passwords are also transferred? I may use computers every day, but that doesn't mean I know much about how they work lol.

My main computer is a gaming PC that runs Windows 10, it is a gaming PC so I can play Take on Sodor, certain Roblox games, and Minecraft without lag. I am typing this on a crappy school laptop that runs Windows 10, it is a slow, and it's a Lenovo. I used to have an HP Probook laptop that ran Windows 10 and had a Windows 7 sticker, but it was replaced by my gaming PC. I used to have an Emachines computer that ran Windows XP, and my dad still has a Compaq laptop that runs Windows XP. I also have an Ipad and an Xbox.

I'm currently rocking an HP Pavilion gaming laptop I picked up as an early Christmas present for like $600 at Target early last December. It's obviously not a powerhouse of a laptop or anything, but it's got an i5-10300H, 8GB of RAM, a GTX 1650 Ti with 4GB of VRAM, and a 256GB SSD and it runs the games I wanna run just fine, a perfectly respectible budget gaming laptop. I've 'upgraded' it by installing the old 1TB hard drive from my old laptop for more storage (also cuz if I moved all my files to the SSD, it'd probably take up most of the space on the SSD.) and I'm thinking of upgrading it further by adding another 8GB stick of RAM and maybe upgrading the SSD to a 512GB one.
Before my current machine, I used a cheap Lenovo Ideapad that I got for like $400 (discounted from $500 I think) that was honestly pretty mediocre. I mean it wasn't bad in terms of specs (wasn't a gaming laptop or anything, but was still perfectly respectable for a basic usage laptop, browsing the web and watching videos and stuff like that) but the actual build quality of the thing as like 3.5/10. The chassis flexed like mad and eventually started coming apart and breaking at the hinges (you can see why I decided to replace it). And even before that I had a Toshiba Satellite that I had for nearly 10 years before the motherboard finally died (and there was a few months gap where I used my dad's 2012 Toshiba because, long story short, my dad ended up passing about a week or so later and there obviously wasn't time to go to the store and get a new laptop when dealing with his funeral, making sure to close all his accounts, etc.). Let's not forget my old Windows XP desktop that I still have but haven't used since like 2011 (and even that was only because my laptop was in the shop, I last used it as my main machine in like 2008) and I don't even know who made it (I wanna say it's an eMachine but I'm not going to check) and I don't even know the specs of it.

Since mid/late 2017, I've been using a Dell Inspirion N5040 with Windows 10 after my last laptop (Acer) gave up thanks to it getting wet a few years prior. Aside from a few hiccups, the Dell laptop runs very well.

The PC I own is a 1600 dollar custom tower pc, with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9600K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GH, 16 gigs of ram, and almost 3tb of space. It used to have a sceptre monitor, but that broke after 4 years of use (Btw i've had this pc since November 2019) so i got a new viewsonic monitor. Pro tip do not buy Sceptre monitors, if they can't last at least 10 years what good are they.
