The Mac I was talking about? It's a PowerPC iMac G5 (not the Intel ones). It's really the family computer, though. My personal one is our old one. It's a second-line fruity iMac G3. Here it is. I'll get around to posting a real picture of it.

I own a Compaq. It hasn't steered me wrong in the 2 years I've had it... yet!

Hmm, mine says eBox on the tower, so I voted eMachines as a guess. It was custom built for us by a local computer shop in early 2005, and it's worked beautifully since then. It has a DVD-RW, quite a bit a memory, and I don't think I've even discovered all the USB ports yet! We've got an older Epson printer that came with the computer before our current one, and it guzzles up ink like nothing else. The monitor is one of the rather ancient TV-like ones that I think we got with our very first computer, back in 1999. None of this new-fangled flatscreen rubbish for me

My computer has been upgrades so many times that I have no idea what is is now.
I got it off my Uncle about 6 to 8 years ago.

Ooooh, I have an Epson printer too, it's old, gotten in 1999 XD It likes to print things with weird lines in them, and can't be used since my lappy doesn't have a port for it. And since MY laptop is often comandeered by my mom, who is too lazy to get another computer, I could say it's also hers...don't make me rant I have a HP scanner too, it's ancient but I love it. Without it I'd have never continued doing art ^^' I also have a Wacom tablet, one of my best friends. I can't colour in Photoshop with just the touchpad, so I got the tablet to use for art, I love it ^__^ ~Elizabeth

Hey, I'm the first one to post in this thread with an HP (Hewlett Packard), aren't I the lucky one, not really lol.
It's about two years old, and I only use this laptop most of the time coz the PC has crashed and I've been forced to revert to a slow laptop that is that desperate for my photos to be taken off its running on slow. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes from log on to get messenger and internet explorer running, the moral of the story, don't use a laptop as an Office PC, use it for only what you need to and make sure one program is up and running before you start another on it (Will I learn.... no).
I'd say the biggest problem with this is the number of HP programs that have been put on this and get installed almost automatically, such as the imaging software that you never use. Otherwise its ok and I'd be able to use it as a main PC.
The other one is my Mum's if everyone had their own, and its a Packard Bell, its 5 years old now and in suprisingly good condition compared with the last one which was a dinosaur. The only problem is that it doesn't have any of the updates to keep the new viruses at bay and its got one. So I keep putting off getting it up and running coz I just want to throw it out of the window.

The Batcomputer runs on a special operating system designed by the combined forces of Microsoft and Apple. They owed me a favour after I took down the Penguin, who was planning to destroy both companies so that Linux could rule the computer wars. I think he was taken in by their logo. Nevertheless, it scored me a top-of-the-line system that you ordinary citizens could never hope to match. Of course, I don't just rely on modern technology. Why should I, when the old stuff still works? Here are some of the Batcomputer's specs. * Bat-diamond (power source for the Batcomputer, far more pure then a natural diamond, it's well over 10,000 karats) * Accelerated Concentration Switch (increases computing power of Batcomputer when it's strained) * Dual Identity Bat-sensor * Bat-analyzing Gears * Batcomputer Ingestor Switch * Batcomputer Bat-resistance Signal (light comes on when the Batcomputer doesn't understand the question) * Special Escaped Archcriminal Bat-locator * Bat-correction Signal (alerts Batman or Robin when they say something incorrect) * Anti-crime Voice Analyzer * Special seismological attachment * Batcomputer Input Slot (enter some information source, such as a phone book, so a search can be performed) * Illustrated Bat-slides (Alfred created these to be more informative than the usual cue cards)
Bare in mind I wrote this list before recieving the upgrades from the Batman of the 853rd Century, which increase the running time by over 1000% of today's supercomputers. Yes, it's just that nifty.#Of course I can't reveal too much about the Batcomputer, not with my enemies stalking this board. I risk losing my mystique, a factor I can't hope to compromise. Still, I hope this gives you some ideas of the perks of being a crimefighter.

xD Cool. ;D
My computer is a little ol' Dell Laptop.
My computer is a part of me and I'll be lost without it. I had it for a year now, recieved it as a grduation gift, it came with 30GB, and I'm on it for about five hours a day, xD.
I thought mine was the smallest and cutest until I saw a girl with a white ibook thats a bit smaller than mine. I once saw a guy with a computer that was like 6x6, it was so freakin' tiny, like a handheld dictionary...I wonder how many gigs/GB it holds on it.

Compaq Prescario; it's allright but has a tendency to freeze when using Windows Movie Maker and now, Internet Explorer; thank goodness for Mozilla Firefox! It's about 2 years old and according to what it says on the front.... ( ) 2.8ghz, 512Mb, 120Gb hard-drive, NVIDIA GeForce FX200, 128mb Video memory and ........DVD writer! Woo! It seems pretty powerful; now just to learn what all that stuff is...... Oh and more boring facts ; Acer flatscreen monitor (very nice; brilliant quality) and some Lexmark "All-in-one Center" It's an rubbish printer, average photocopier and an average scanner. Has nothing else going for it other than the fact that it features a monotone voice going "Printing started." and "Printing complete." Fancy. (Hey, we got it from the Post Office's shop; what do you expect? Something actually good? )

I have a Dell myself, but it's a newer model so yes it does have a flat screen which I find convenient since it cuts back the bulk the previous monitors displayed.
The Family computer is also a Dell, but its an older model from about 2002 or so. Both versions have Windows XP. Also, my computer has sound while the downstairs one doesn't. Due to that one crashing a couple years back.

Mine's a Compaq laptop. Like Carly said, it's great for uploading and downloading things. I also have Broadband, so I can download and upload things very quickly.

At last, I've got a Windows XP . It arrived last night. Now, it's just the case of linking broadband to it. ;D

What? You JUST got XP? Like, AFTER it's been "upgraded"? My machine of choice is the Mac. Mine needs a good upgrade though. (I'm using a second hand iMac... very old). Hopefully I'll be getting a bit more RAM for it, give it a real graphics card, and some more SPACE. (4gb? I can download more than that in a month). However, the main priority at this stage is to earn enough money to have a steady internet connection. Mum's gotten hold of a new PC, which I'll be getting soon. I don't know why, though, I really hate PC's now. I might install Linux or something, but... I can't exactly salvage parts for a Mac, so what's the point?

No, it hadn't been upgraded. My family got it second hand for £65, and we moved the useless 98 upstairs.

Oh, wow. Still, 98 isn't that bad. For it's time, it was good. Personally, I feel that XP is superior to Vista, anyway. Might be something to do with the fact that Vista has 11 open ports whereas XP has only 1, meaning your alot more likely to get a virus on Vista. Anyway, good luck with the new system!
