FireRed and LeafGreen, all of the fun of the original games with Generation III improvements.

So you can play the "Red"/ Kanto campaign, wielding steel types? o.o Yep, I borrowed the game from a friend to try it, and it works. Liking the game, but I was unable to find missingno though I can't wait for the Gold and Silver remakes to come out though, they look great. I also hope that Stadium will make a return in some form for the Wii, although not as a re-release, but as a new game.

Assassin-Yeah, the remakes were great but it's not the original. Really, the only bad things in the first games were psychic domination, glitch Pokemon, and nothing to do after you get Mewtwo.
Jamesred5-You might be right about Sunkern, Magikarp may beat it in speed but Sunkern can actually use worthwhile moves. Sunny Day and Solarbeam take care of Magikarp.

Sorry for the spoiler, but I hope you like Entei. Then again, you probably already know...
I have LeafGreen so, no Arcanine for me. I see your waiting to evolve Growlithe.

I guess, Slowpoke and it's family can give you a good advantage. Arcanine get's Intimidate so it get's an advantage over Ninetails, being able to weaken ground and rock-type moves help.
You should try Nidoking as Clefairy's replacement, there's so much he can do.

Actually Arlesdale, he'll get Raikou, not Entei. You get Entei if you choose Bulbasaur.

Right, I got mixed up for a second. I hope he saves his Masterball for it, we all know fighting Raikou or Entei could potentially blow your shot at catching them.

Hey, just a question. Does anyone here who has wi-fi have a Mightyena? I'll gladly trade any non-legendary Pokemon. Nature preferably Adamant or Jolly. Friend code is on my sig, and if you're interested, PM me your code.

Have you looked at some o the earlier posts? There's quite a bit of discussion. The thing is, since details are kind of spacrce, there's not much to tell.

I saw some but not much. My only hope is Kanto will be in it, otherwise half the game is pretty much gone.

Details are all there at serebii.net
If the fight with Red on Mt. Silver at the end of the game is gone then this game will suck.

Kanto wasn't that great though, they could've done a lot better, a whole lot better. There was actually extra space left on the cartdriges, but instead of using it, Kanto was watered down.
They should have the Sevii islands in the new Kanto, that was a fun place to go.

I loved Kanto, but I wish the trainers were stronger. Watch Red's team now be:
Pikachu Gliscor Staraptor Floatzel Torterra Infernape
It's going to suck if they do that.

No, they wouldn't do that to Red, he's from the Manga: where you can kill the other guy's Pokemon and no one will care, where you can fuse the three birds, where half of Kanto's gym leaders are the bad guys.
Yeah...

I love the Pokemon manga. It always occurred to me that it was supposed to be based on the TV show. If it was based on the manga, wouldn't his strongest Pokemon be a Poliwrath? I didn't get that far into the manga, so if he released his Poliwrath, I wouldn't know. I only got up to the fight with Bruno.

Red was sort of a mix between the two. Remember, Manga Red never had the fully evolved starters, and Ash...well you know.

What about Ash? He fails at Pokemon. He loses far too often and never evolves half his Pokemon.
