Bill Murray is a fool these days, as we all know, Rick Moranis did well to say no to a cameo in the reboot, sorry to hear his wife passed away, such a shame.

Just got the graphic novels of IDW's Ghostbusters/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Ghostbusters: Get Real (featuring The Real Ghostbusters) from Amazon today, can't wait to read them both, I loved the original Turtles 1987 cartoon when I was a kid, still do today, along with He-Man, She Ra, Transformers, G I Joe/Action Force, Thundercats & Count Duckula, RGB & the original TMNT were & still are some of the greatest cartoons ever, I am totally a child of the 80's, great cartoons & films.

Also a child of the 80's I agree great cartoons from that decade. I got the Ninja Turtles crossover comic for my birthday. Shame Shredder wasn't the main villain or even make an appearance as he's vital for the Ninja Turtles universe. I've heard IDW's Ninja Turtles comic series is great so I'll have to read that at some point. Interesting that they made Krang more villainous. Anyway it was a good story and my fave pat was the interactions between the characters. That's what crossovers are really about.
EDIT: Just seen the trailer and it looks absolutely awful. None of the jokes were funny and it's no way near as good the original. This reboot is an insult to the franchise. Why bring it back if you couldn't get the original actors back? It should have been left alone. I hope the film bombs. That will teach Hollywood to mess with a great classic.

Definitely, it was an amazing crossover indeed, the trailer for this horrible 2016 Ghostbusters is now available to watch & I finally forced myself to watch it this morning, I thought it was dreadful, there is no chemistry between the new team members at all, the Ecto 1 looks like a cheap pile of junk, the Proton Packs look equally junk like too & I seriously think that the late great Harold Ramis will no doubt be turning in his grave. I think that truly the best thing people who respect the original Ghostbusters mythology like you & me should do is forget & try to ignore this horrendous stain on the franchise & enjoy the original 2 movies, The Real Ghostbusters & Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon series & of course the IDW comic book series. I really hope that this film flops big time at the box office, I hate reboots & reinventions of films I loved from the 80's, I'll never forget how truly bad the Robocop remake from 2014 was. I am a horror film fan who watched the remakes of Friday The 13th & A Nightmare On Elm Street, both of which were no where near as well made as the 80's originals, Robert Englund will always be Freddy Krueger, Jackie Earl Haney was'nt as good in his portrayal, the same can be said for the remake of Halloween from 2007, the 1978 original is untouchable, I did'nt mind the remade Texas Chainsaw Massacre films though, it gave Leatherface more of an origin story than the 1974 original, which is still great to watch even now. Anyway, back to TMNT, I can't wait for early June, when the new LIVE action sequel TMNT: Out Of The Shadows is out in cinemas, several classic characters are in it: Bebop, Rocksteady, Casey Jones, Baxter Stockman (though maybe not in Fly form like he was in the 80's cartoon & possibly Krang, plus you may wish to get this US imported book I found on Amazon, I got this 2 weeks ago & am meaning to sit down & read it soon, here's a link for you www.amazon.co.uk/Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-Ultimate/dp/1608871851/ref=sr_1_7?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1457124394&sr=1-7&keywords=teenage+mutant+ninja+turtlesOne more thing to mention about Ghostbusters, rather than this remake happening, what a fan like myself would want instead would be a series of all new Ghostbusters novels, like how the Alien/Aliens/Predator films spawned spin off novels, that would have been great, still we have the IDW comic books which are wonderful, of course.

Krang is defiantly in Ninja Turtles 2. I'm looking for forward to that already.
I also have that book too. It had loads of interesting info that I never knew as a Turtles fan. Especially about the Next Mutation series and of course the 80's series.
If this reboot flops horribly at box office then that would send a message to Hollywood to stop all remakes. We need new ideas. Nothing wrong with that at all. I've not seen many remakes of films I liked although I couldn't bring myself to watch Karate Kid. However I saw the remade Charlie and the Chocolate factory as I like Tim Burton films and that wasn't too bad. Still preferred the original and Gene Wilder is the better Willy Wonka.
I think there was a Ghostbusters novel out before. the story was about Venkman running for Mayor. I'm on the Look out for the Get real Comic books as I'm interested in that. New Ghostbusters items about the original crew always goes down well with me. Especially stuff based on Real Ghostbusters. It was actually that, that introduced me to the whole franchise.

Ah yes, the Ghostbusters The Return novel from 2004, it was'nt that successful, I read it & thought it was ok, could have been better, it now goes 2nd hand for £127:50 on Amazon,RGB introduced me to the franchise too, I was 5 years old in 1987 when the series first came on ITV, then my parents got the VHS of the 1984 original film, then in 1989 I saw Ghostbusters II at my local cinema, my 1st film I ever saw in the cinema, I finally saw Ghostbusters at Cineworld in late October 2014 when it was re-released for the 30th anniversary.

(blows dust off)
So we had a female reboot and a sequel after Harold Ramis' death. What are your thoughts on any of those films?
