I'm afraid we have had no witnesses who were near the area come forward yet, but when, or rather, if we do, then SiF will be immediately informed so they can investigate further and decide how to follow up the evidence.
The following members have now been officially declared as suspects, while the other SiF Collaboration Project writers are being followed up as to whether we have grounds on which to bring them [or IRL if they're interested in joining in... or maybe we're just holding a few people back until later before they're declared as suspects, to throw you off...]
Anyway, these SiF members are currently suspects:

I might ask you about a few other things, then. I will record this conversation, if you wish to consult with your lawyer, please do so before we get started.

Iceman has also been confirmed as a suspect? Is Ben really the murderer? And if he is, was he working alone?
We don't know anything about the murderer was wearing. There have currently been no witnesses.
Recently, however, something unusual has been uncovered in eDWaRDTHeGReaT's house. He had doubled up on several of the items. In many many boxes, in the attic, marked 'MINE' in large letters, many of the items that eDWaRDTHeGReaT was surrounded by were found. The second ones he had bought or owned, presumably. Why would he have two of most things in his extremely vast collection?

Just to let you know, You Currently are not under arrest, but don't skip town...or you will be, and charged with evading the law. And, if the accused does not have an attourney, he shall be provided with one at government expense...that's only if you're arrested, though. *tape on* Alright, can you explain to me what you were doing on the Day of the crime? Did you visit with the victim at any time that day? Furthermore, was there anyone else that you know of that was with him?

Doubled items...soonds tae mae like he maeght hae stoolen them fra anotha memberr. [/crappy Scottish accent] I am counting the victim in question subject for robbery. Inspect boxes labeled "MINE" for mines, fingerprints, and also unmarked boxes for fingerprints. Also, inspect phone records from a week or two back. See if there are any prevalent numbers. eDWaRDTHeGReaT is now suspect for provocation of the murder.

I agree with Evening Star. I think we could be looking at stolen goods here.
I think the victim was a passionate individual regarding his collection - how else would it have grown to be so vast? And in my limited experience passionate collectors do not tolerate rivals.
I would like to know if anyone has reported the theft of any kind of Thomas merchandise in the past. Any whatsoever. Be it large, small, anything.
In the event that it isn't theft, I'd like to pursue another line of inquiry. I would like to find out, if possible, where he was buying his Thomas merchandise from, and if the people who sold the items to him knew him well or observed anything strange about his behaviour. (I'm not treating them as suspects though.)

Since Ben's not replied, I'm gonna have to say you can go ahead and pursue that.

I've checked with some people who around the area and none of had seen a mysterious character lurking around (except for Greenarrow).
Anyway, I'm not sure whether I'm warm or cold but I've come up with a little theory. While eDWaRDTHeGReaT was playing with his Thomas ertls someone in his house came up behind him with a large object to hit againt eDWaRDTHeGReaT's head and killed him.
Or he found one of his ertls missing and died of a heart attack, later stabbed by someone who was planning to kill him anyway.

Okay, where you on the night of October the sixth 1992? Why were you there? Why am I asking all these pointless questions? I wasn't even born untill 2 years later,LOL. And the only Thomas stuff I've bought is a bunch of wooden trains off of Ebay

'hem.
Allow me to repeat myself - I'll handle the questioning, Driveus, if you're gonna be this immature about it...
Can you explain to me what you were doing on the Day of the crime? Did you visit with the victim at any time that day? Furthermore, was there anyone else that you know of that was with him?

Understanding that these were directed at Ben, I would like to clear myself also. On the day of the crime I was at the local Six Flags theme park in the Thomas section perusing their Learning Curve merchandise. I could not have visited with him on that day because a plane flight to Britain would have taken me until the next day to arrive, and for the same reason I cannot say who was with him.

I suppose so.
Alright, let's narrow down the list to those who actually live in the United Kingdom.

That may well be a more logical solution...Tests from the boxes came back. The boxes labeled "MINE" were tested positive for another set of fingerprints. I'll forward them to you, Jim, so you can find them. Blank boxes were new, never opened it seemed. Would the victim have acted drastically toward mint-condition products being opened against his will?

Go ahead and forward those, but why would the victim have acted drastically, and, furthermore, were there any signs of a struggle at the scene of the crime? By that, I mean, was there any evidence that the victim fought back, or even delivered a first blow?

Well, avid collectors usually do not like to open mint-conditioned things, just a thought. (By the way, do I PM you with fingerprint info or something or just assume I've sent them?) Signs of a struggle...-rifling papers- Hm. Well, several boxes were found kicked to corners of the room, and a fishbowl was on its side. As for a first blow, we cannot be sure...
