Forget it. Let's just build a racetrack and be done with it.
Something epic, like the Nurburgring Nordschliefe.

How about Phantom Road? A dangerous difficult track for the daring among us.

((Back in character...as Fox))
Heh...I've been doing that a little lately, since I've retired and settled down with Krystal. Local events, though. I've been thinking about converting the Arwing II into an All-Lylat GP Air Racer, rather than a G-Zero machine. Bit more money in that.

Just make sure to hire plenty of constables in case the Thin Controller decides to show up and smash any red cars. You know what he's like.

Traffic Department have told me that they plan to have a number of Traffic Police patrolling any roads we have here. However, they're still waiting on permission from the Roads Department to do this - and considering the head of the Roads Department got a speeding ticket last month, I don't think he'll be all that keen...

I could do some patrolling. I'm pretty sure there's no ground vehicle that can break Mach 4.5.
Just need some cash....

Will the new highway system include an elephant lane? As a clerk with the Department of SiF Railways, I need to know where the planned level crossings will be located for health and safety reasons. Can't have any more incidents like this happen on our lines: see attached photo

As a person who has had experience fireing and driving Steam Rollers, I volunteer myself to help in building these new roads. If that is the Traffic Department and Roads Department get off their backsides and make a decision. Heck I've even got a fleet of tractors to carry all the equipment such as tar, scrapers and mugs of tea. I just need some helpers to put their names fourth who will work long shifts with zilch pay!
But of course, like most things in life everything comes at a price...

I've just had a company send me a bid for the contract to build and maintain the road. Upon researching the company, I've found that they are noted for their highly organized and dedicated workforce that can work for long periods at great speed. They mostly specialize in road relaying; they can completely rip up and relay a mile of road in one day. This video show one work party relaying a road in Warwickshire. Seeing this video, I believe that the company can make SiF's first road a great one

You could place them between alternate realities. That's always fun.

I see Southeastern trains are already using portals in their TV ads, which could hopefully make the EMUs redundant by next week.

I heard this guy Bob the Builder is pretty good if it's roads you want.

Don't count on it, his cement mixer always manages to screw things. Probably too much heavy metal music.
Anyway all these talks of roads are nice and all, but payment for construction won't be from our paychecks do they? All these gas prices are practically murder, and I will never buy those Eco-Cars made by communists.

Well, you could always buy something that doesn't run on petroleum distilates. Most cars where I come from have Hydrogen Cold Fusion units...
Oh, wait...the technology might not be on your planet, yet...*Embarrassed...*

It's possible to run a campervan on chip grease and it looks like air is an alternative as well. I await the day when politicians become a vital source of alternative energy. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7241909.stm

But then you'd get really hungry every time you drove anywhere. You'd drive to work and want to buy a bag of chips.
