We've got a Grinds Your Gears thread - but in all, that doesn't quite cover everything. That's gripes on life, which can be kept down to a lower key minimum - here you can let loose and scream like a banshee to your heart's contentment... and go into explicit depth as to why.
First off, I'm going to start off with a problem that's very dear to my heart - audio production.
The SiF Crossover Adventure has been giving me never ending problems and I honestly want to f**king scream with it. It's given me numerous problems, but none more so than the waiting and uncertainty over lines and availability. Jim, is having problems delivering his stuff, so I've missed the deadline I originally intended to meet to put the stuff out - I can hardly blame Jim as his personal circumstances are his own business and he's done his damnedest to try and work with me on this, but he's missed out the lines for Ep 1 to 5 - having only received Episode 6 while I tried to discover his availability. In all honesty, I don't blame Jim, I never could, but as I'm also trying to work with Loey Machan who's scoring it, I don't want to f**k him around too much with time.
Then there's today's new problem - accidentally lost all of Clay and Gonzo's lines for the dub, which ironically arrived the same day that Kate669's stuff for Main Line Engines did - which lo and behold got lost as well. Thankfully though, in a snap thing, Kate and Clay retained their stuff and have been able to send it over.
There's still hope, but this thing is really doing my head in along with other majorly uncomfortable factors!

I've got a problem, too.
I'm royally angry that I managed to fail Algebra! I mean, I completed every assignment that was given and attended every class. Still I ended up failing the course, and I might have to retake it again in the future.
What made the class even worse is that we weren't allowed to use calculators, and most of the students in the class were my parents' age. I've always had a deep hatred of algebra, and I'll aways keep that hatred.

W-wait a minute. What sort of Algebra class BANS CALCULATORS?! Every single one of my classes allowed them. At least, I think so. It's been awhile since my high school algebra classes. For that matter, it's been awhile since high school.

It was a sort of remedial class at a college level to help us regain knowledge and learn more things. It was purely the most annoying thing about the class, too.

That's just stupid. Not being able to use calculators in Algebra is like saying that you aren't allowed to have note cards during a public speech. Both examples require them.
Having taken Algebra and later Calculus ("What on Earth was I thinking at that time?!"), I know that calculators are a necessity. So not being able to have them is an issue that needs to be brought up with the school board. Aidan, I know how tough Algebra and especially Calculus can be, and believe me calculators are a ust for those subjects!
I highly suggest bringing this issue up with your schooboard, because every Algebra class I've been in allows calculators.

Seconded. It might especially be prudent if this is a first-time teacher, without tenure.

How the hell can you calculate Algebra WITHOUT a calculator? Seriously, my school ruled out working calculating it by any other means. If they don't allow you to use one, it's impossible to do. I'm sorry to hear what happened to you Aidan. It shouldn't have been the case.

I'd put in a complaint really. However, I don't see what good a calculator would have done - they only add, subtract, divide and multiply numbers... not letters! Maybe that's the same logic the examiner was taking...
I will agree with you though, Algebra is probably the most pointless f**king thing ever to be invented. I've never had to use it since I left school at the age of 16, and in the forseeable future, I don't see it having any practical use outside of the classroom. Be sure to remind your Algebra Professor of that fact the next time you see him... and be sure to ask him on EVERY practical use that Algebra may have in every day life - see if he has any useful answers, and if he does, don't keel over with shock too soon, it'd be insulting to the man.

I'm currently peeed off about my GCSE results. I'm hoping to get Cs and aboves, but I could get a few Ds and Es. I already have a conditional place at my local 6th form, but if I have cocked up? I'm screwed.
Failing that, It would requre a lot of begging and arse kissing to get in with poor grades.

One of my neighbours has two dogs. One or two days ago, they were up barking in their back garden. At like 6 or 7AM! WHERE EVERYONE COULD HEAR THEM! I just wanted to lie in, but I couldn't since those mutts kept yelling at each other. "WOFF WOFF WOFF" "BARK BARK BARK". Oh what I'd give to have a tranquizer gun then. If you have dogs and they want to go outside, BLOODY-WELL WALK THEM! DON'T LET THEM LOOSE IN THE GARDEN AT THE CRACK OF SPARROW FART AND HOPE THE NEIGHBOURS DON'T MIND BEING KEPT AWAKE WHEN THEY'D RATHER SLEEP IN!

Oh, but the calculator saves TIME. I've only been in Algebra I, but the Calculator is my best friend. Yes, it can't add, subtract, multiply or divide letters, but the numbers involved to find the letters, in my eyes warrent calculators. They're on the list of required supplies so I'm giong to use it! And algebra is useful. Someone in my class once questioned the need for Algebra, and I explained it something like this. You need Algebra to do Geometry. Geometry and Algebra to Do Physics and so on. Everything you do in school is to help you higher up in the school system. So I don't think Algebra is useless. Especially if I want to be a Civil Engineer!

Girls who are a tease piss me off.
So I've got this girl at work who supposedly likes me and all, and her friends keep telling me to ask her out, but it's like she freaking refuses to let me alone with her! I've tried for at least a week now to get her alone so I can ask her out, and she tells me to WAIT for other people to come, then ignores me! And she's so obviously flirting with me on the job (I work with her one day a week) and on break, but seriously I don't know what in the hell is with her. She's a decent person and all, not ugly either, but argh, she mystifies me.
That was probably better suited to the Love or Advice threads, but since it relates to my first statement I think I'm alright. Not looking for advice either, I'm gonna do it, but it'll take some work.

QJ LOSES IT! The one thing that pisses me off above all else is how badly I got treated at school. You may think it's not a big deal, BUT IT IS TO ME! The kids treated me like absolute s**t and thought it was funny to make my VCE very uncomfortable. Those mother-f**kers have probably scarred me for life! What they did, I refuse to disclose; but it's now got me on the verge of insanity. I want to punch their teeth out, but I've never seen myself as a violent type; those f**king idiots asked for it! Doing my VCE was the worst choice I ever made, not for the academic side (that was okay) but the social side. In short, I HATED F**KING SECONDARY SCHOOL!!! Thank you very much!

Jeez-Louise, you sound very upset Can I take a guess that one or more of your chosen VCE subjects inspired a bunch of fools to begin picking on or ostracizing you? Hey man, if you're getting good grades you'll be leaving them behind in your dust. If they're that shallow to torment you, do you really want to hang around them anyway even if they didn't? Look forward to your post-secondary years where you're guaranteed to associate and be accepted by a better class of people!

Recently I've noticed that I have become more aggravated when my friends are around, my two best mates.
Sadly enough this makes me want to avoid them, but I'm not, but this doesn't help at all. Uggh.

I consider myself to be a patient person but I'm probably lieing to myself. Most online retailers are so slow. I ordered new art supplies from dickblick.com (big art retailer in the USA) on last Wednesday (a full week ago!), only just yesterday did they process the order and only today did they ship it. Come on! I wish more websites could be more like newegg.com (online retailer for computer parts, accessories, and other electronics in USA and just a few days ago expanded into Canada. Congrats to you guys!). Beyond the cheap prices newegg's got great customer service and quick shipping. By comparison I ordered a new headset from them yesterday and it shipped today (This is always the case with newegg). The later will probably get here first!

For that matter, it's been awhile since high school. Pffsh. A mere four years. Also, Welsh is hard, but I'm going to learn it no matter what it takes. Cheers.

I couldn't leave school because I had nothing better to do, and as I said, what they did had nothing to do with what classes I was in; most of those who pissed me off were younger than me, and though disrespecting their elders was funny. You have a point, though. The longer I stayed at St. Paul's, the more I realised I didn't belong there. Peace out!

Glad to know that at least it's behind you, QJ. Members may have read or heard about that horrific murder that happened on a Greyhound bus in Canada last week. The only thing making me angrier at the moment is this headline that just hit the newswire. Oh for f**k's sake! The only people who are morally bankrupt are this guy and his moronic followers. ARRRGH!
