Ya know what's bulls**t what grinds my gears!? Recently, I was in EB Games (not saying which one) and I came across the new 250g PlayStation 3. And does it play PS2 games?
Now I understand taking out some things to bring down the cost, like the Emotion engine that powers the PS2 games, but it's been four years; quit goofing around and figure out a way to play them in this. Other models do fine with an emulator, so why we have that!? Bottom line, Sony, retire the PlayStation 2 and have it's games playable on the PS3! And that's what grind my gears.

Here's another thing that really grinds my gears: People who take too much advantage of the WTLNetwork Swear pack when they make YTP's. If the swear words are used effectively, and the poop is interesting I don't have much of a problem, but if all they're going to do is add swear words to a normal Thomas episode and make an engine go really fast and scream, it's not much of a YouTube Poop. Even if people actually make sentences out of these swears or other words they mixed themselves, I don't have much of a problem, I'm just not a fan of the ones where they just replace normal words with swear words.
And that, is what really grinds my gears.

Y'know what really grinds my gears? When people who claim to be more mature than others go off on rants and start trouble in ways that are EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE PEOPLE THEY ARE CLAIMING ARE IMMATURE.
Also, people who abuse other people's cleanup days to avoid having to clean up after themselves in unfair ways, EG: My sister makes soaps and other stuff to sell on Etsy. She ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS does so on my dish duty days. Why? 'cause she can't be danged to clean up after herself and so she abuses the fact that I have to do the dishes to avoid it. Allow me to say this: DISH DAYS ARE FOR MEAL CLEANUP, NOT FOR PERSONAL PROFIT. You wanna make something to help yourself out? Don't dump the cleanup on others. It's not our job, it's yours.
And that's what really grinds my gears.

You know what really grinds my gears? How neither of my parents understand me. They think all I do is backtalk them. They say I'm a smartass and disrespectful. They don't listen to me. I say I feel like I'm getting sick and I don't wanna go out shopping with them. They drag me out. u.u

You know what really grinds my gears? Blackberry's stupid outsourced employees who seem like they've had an hour of training. There are never enough clean forks in the house. People who bash products and brands they've never owned. Storm Chasers focuses way to much on Reed Timmer.

Do you know what really grinds my gears?
When someone makes a mistake and instead of taking it like a man they instead try to a) be defiant and put themselves further in the wrong then b) when they are called out again they just try and cover it all up.
Its funny really because all they do then is show themselves up even more.

Do you know what really grinds my gears? Whenever I go on YouTube and my hopes are raised high when I see a TTTE 'Episode Title/Music Cue...without narration,' to be quickly kicked down at the poor quality of the clip.
I'm not a pro with Audacity (I think I tried to download that Kareoke thing and it didn't work), but from my limited experience, there must be about five tracks in the whole universe where that trick of removing the narration actually works. Every other time, if it even gets close to doing a good job, the vocals are still faintly visible, and the sound is very, very choppy and like a poor quality cassette tape! So I go on YouTube expecting that all these people uploading these clips have done a better job than me...nope, the quality is just as sub par.
When it does work, it works well, but most of the time, my hopes are just raised too high. Can't they call their vids something like 'Thomas Puts the Brakes On...with the narration nearly removed and half the audio quality.' Thanks for trying all the same, but if it's not all that good, please think before you upload.
And that's what really grinds my gears.

People who think it's OK to slag SiF off, but then try to sign up for accounts, or get info out of us... that has seriously grinded my gears today...

Do you knows what really grinds my gears and axles?
First of all: people that think Thomas is a little kids show (granted, even back then the main audience was kids, but there were entertaining stories made for people of all ages to enjoy). I mean, they watch an episode that features the following: cheesy loads, obsession with children, annoying rhymes and cheesy morals, and assume that everyone who watches it is a loser with no life. Guess what, back then they didn't have kiddish loads or morals; no, sir, they had QUALITY stories! I try to tell them that not many "kids shows" have a complete history about the setting, but they refuse to listen to reason.
Second of all: writing a story. I get this really good idea and think of how its gonna flow and everything...then I sit down to write and I'm barely able to write one or two paragraphs. The problem is making the dialogue sound normal, and not making the story sound like a choppy summary of one. *bangs head*
Third of all: unpleaseant teachers and school staff I don't think this one needs much information, so I won't bother.
Fourth (and for now, last): the fact that mountain railways don't operate like regular ones do. I've been dying to write a few stories about the CFR, but there are just no ideas that can be used. I've tried using the internet to find ideas; no such luck. And the few ideas I can find have already been used.
And that's what grinds my gears and axles.

You know what really grinds my gears? Under-age Youtubers. I've even come across some that still believe in Santa Claus. They always try to get involved in things and treat the older users like role models. Not the best place to look for that sort of thing.

Y'know what really F***ing rinds my gears? My terrible luck.
I'm going to a party with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in awhile tomorrow, and what happens? I see a gigantic splotch of red on my face the turns out to be the world' worst acne. Now I'd look like an idiot if I went.
The worst part is that this exact same thing happened in October. I had a large social event to go to, and behold! A face full of ugly blemishes!

You know what really grinds my gears, - Stupid people who don't accept the fact that Thomas will be and always be a CGI character and can't come back as a model train and stupid non-Thomas fan Youtubers saying that Thomas is now American. - Immature rant videos and comments to other people on Youtube, when can they learn that fact that they need to grow up and that THEY need a life! - People who slang off at SiF because of 'secretive information' - Moronic Youtuber trolls saying that Thomas fans have no life when the show itself have a history and not a money maker show. - Australia not getting the recent Season 13 Thomas DVDs like the UK and the US - Idiotic Youtubers saying, 'Chuck Norris pwns Thomas the Train' - iTunes not getting past seasons and newer seasons of TTTE like the UK and US. And that grinds my gears TMRReturns

That is exactly one of the major problems with the YouTube Thomas fandom. The worst thing too is that much of the older users are complete and utter idiotic bullies who don't realise what they're really like. They take this hero worship and abuse it, quite often bullying the younger members who 'want to be their friend'... some tend to do it more than others... that said, there's zero control on YouTube, so every prick, bully and vile individual will have their day and continue to reign over that dump. Thank God we and other forums provide an alternative...

Thank God we and other forums provide an alternative... Indeed. Related to this matter to a certain degree; lazy and selfish jerks on Youtube who attempt to "capitalize" (read: steal attention) on others work by; 1: Making accounts on popular sites EG; Youtube, that have extremely similar names to a popular user (one in particular comes to mind...). (exceptions are when this is used for parodies sake, in which case it can actually be quite funny) 2: Creating low-quality ripoffs of high quality series (I think we all know what I mean here...). Another thing that's been not just grinding my gears but threatening to strip them clean: The insane number of HORRIBLE redubs, (@ all underage youtubers: if you can't act, then you simply cannot act. Even one bad voice can ruin a whole project, and YouTube redubbers would do well to learn this) "remakes" (filming yourself playing with your trains (models exempted in most cases, as their owners seem generally smart enough to treat them with more respect, and when they do make remakes, they usually make them interesting enough to be worth viewing; a good example is Knuckles' "Off The Rails" remake) and telling a story already made by the pros is cute... if you're about 2. Otherwise it ranges from childish to mind-numbingly uncreative.) and "Music Videos" (well made, they can be excellent (just check out the fansite), poorly done, they can do everything but ruin the song.) that make up the vast majority of YouTube's media output. And while I'm here; ORIGINAL NARRATIONS. Now, many of these are very enjoyable, when read by someone with a suitable voice, not a stuffy nosed slurring prone (as in every other word, not just in little bits around the edges) 10 year old. I understand that for some people, things like slurring and stuttering are a legitimate handicap; all the same, you have no business narrating if you can't narrate*. I'm sorry if I come across as harsh(it's not my intent, and I do wish to see these people become active and skilled in other fields (or even in this field via therapy), but that's just how it is, and seeing these people whining for pity when this is pointed out is borderline infuriating. I realize that I may have come off as somewhat petty and cruel, but I REALLY needed to get this off my chest. Say what you will about the severity of the situation, but the fact remains that SiF is almost completely devoid of these issues, whereas Youtube is absolutely flooded with them. Please, think about what you're putting up before you do, YouTube; it will make you look less the fool in time... tl;dr: The Youtube Thomas community needs to grow up and stop producing useless junk. And THAT, my fellow SiFers, is what grinds my gears. I have nothing against handicapped people, be it physical or psychological. I have spent most of my life with a developmentally delayed little brother and a wheelchair bound older brother, so I have spent years of time with those who are less fortunate than I, and think nothing less of them than anyone else.

Do you know what really grinds my gears? People who tell you to "get over it". I mean, it's discomforting enough (for me, anyway) that they would say something like that. But quite often, they're clearly only saying that as a means of getting you to stop talking about the certain incident, since they simply refuse to hear about it. And even if they are genuinely telling you to get over something, 'cause it's for your own good, they don't always get the whole story. Of course, though, the latter, I'd have to consider as the lesser of two evils, since there's a good chance that they might eventually be willing to listen to what you have to say on the matter. But the former... well, I'd have to say that it just shows how ignorant they are. I mean, I understand if they probably aren't comfortable with listening what you are trying to tell them. But they could at least say that it should be discussed some other time. And another thing: Second of all: writing a story. I get this really good idea and think of how its gonna flow and everything...then I sit down to write and I'm barely able to write one or two paragraphs. The problem is making the dialogue sound normal, and not making the story sound like a choppy summary of one. *bangs head* Third of all: unpleaseant teachers and school staff I don't think this one needs much information, so I won't bother. I can personally relate to those, Andrew, as I, too, have problems with both of those things, for the same reasons you do. Well, actually, if it's all right with you, I'd like to elaborate a bit. I have several story ideas visualised. But for the very same reason as with you, not one - not even one of them has reached completion. Okay, so I admit, I'm probably having too many story ideas at once. But still, I wish I could have a good strategy, and stick with it. As for the unpleasant teachers, I'd like to say that I've had a few of those in my life. I mean, it's true that we should respect authority. But sometimes, what one person does (authority or not) can really limit the amount of respect others give them (even so, we should still at least try to be respectful, especially to authority). Thankfully, though, there's no one on this forum, and other forums that I'm a member of, who is like that, as far as I know. And that's what really grinds my gears.

Do you know what really grinds my gears?
-People that can't keep their phone conversations to themselves. I'm on the bus, subway, whatever...minding my own business when someone's phone rings or something, and they begin talking so loudly the entire vehicle can hear them. As if anyone was interested in their conversations!
-"Your mom" jokes. Unfortunately, these are extremely common at my school. I really don't get what's the big deal about - how is dissing someone's mother funny? Honestly, I wish people at my school were more intelligent than that. They think that these kinds of jokes make them cool and mature.
-When you're in a huge crowd and someone purposely does something to prevent you getting out. This is also common at my school. At dismissal time, some annoying kid stops when he's in front of me, so I go to another line which seems to be moving along, only to have THAT one halt too! Ugh.
-Unruly children that scream and cry in public areas because of (xxx situation). Their parents don't do anything helpful to make them stop either.
-Teachers/staff who act like they own the school, get the wrong people in trouble for the wrong reasons, and then whine that students are fed up with them.
And that's what grinds my gears.

But other things that really grind my gears... ...consist of things like on the Sodor Island 3D Forums when people will make a thread about their new route, and don't post any pictures. If you don't post any pictures, your thread will immediately lose interest. You need to show progress of your work and can't just make a thread with a link to your new route (which, for all we know, could be a single piece of track on an empty baseboard with no scenery or terrain.) Another thing on the Si3d Forums that grinds my gears is when someone announces that they're going to make a particular route, but being told that 'Someone else has already made it.' It doesn't really matter if someone else has already made it. this person's version might be better. And people on Youtube and the like, who post a comment on one of my videos saying "Where did you get this?" "Where did you get that?" "What's the music?" It wouldn't be so bad if they told me what they thought of the video. People even do it if you've made something yourself. I know that someone posted on one of TopKazFatt's videos saying "Where did you get those engines?" or something like that. Similarly, I can't stand people who ask if and when someone's going to release something on the Si3D forum or YouTube, although on the former some people's responses to the person can be just as bad. I also can't stand people who post videos and never reply to any comments. I suppose it's different if you're just uploading a piece of music or something and people are just discussing the music, but when people ask the uploader something politely and never get a reply, well, that's just snobbery. I also can't stand people who only reply to comments for their video in order to diss the poster of the comment or make a smart-arse reply, although if the initial comment was blatantly wrong or was dissing the video or uploader I don't really have much of a problem. However In some cases it makes me wonder why the uploader bothered uploading the video in the first place. And that's what really grinds my gears.
