There's a few good ones by him out there. I have "All Along the Watchtower" and "Purple Haze" mainly because they're the only songs I've heard by him.

I've only heard Voodoo Child before and the beggining guitair sequence was brilliant. The could've just been that looped three times and I'd still enjoy the song.

I like him. I've got a Greatest Hits CD, 2-disc BBC Sessions CD and some Winterland live show or something. I've also got a couple of documentaries on him, and I can play some of his more well-known songs on guitar. I'm not the biggest fan, but he's definitely an incredible guitarist, very influential and innovative.

I love You Tube. get reaquainted with Mr Hendrix. "1983.. A merman I shall turn to be" - and there we were, waiting for him to show up, but nooo..
And I never realised there was a video of the Band of Gypsies album. "Machine Gun" one of the most powerful anti-war songs ever IMHO.

I only like Purple Haze by Hendrix, but was a dam brilliant Guitar Player or should I say the greatest.
Without Hendrix, they're wouldn't be other great guitar players like: Dave Murray (Iron Maiden), Kirk Hammett (Metallica), the late Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne), Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne), the late Dimebay Darrell (Pantera) the list of great guitarist in Rock and Heavy Metal just goes on.
