Bit premature for this kinda thing really, it's only late February, and we've got some fantastic albums on the way. Aside from that, I think the best albums released in 2007 are so far yet to be released anyway...

in truth, I haven't found that album that's made me go "Wow! I want to buy that!" so far this year. Then again, that could very well change.

Fair enough. Ryan has a valid point, we're only in late February. I'd stil recommend this as a must-have however. Go as one of the best maybe...IMHO.
But maybe not everyone shares my taste in euphoric trance /dance / synth-based club hits stuff? Fair enough if you have your own solid opinions. =)
But. SIF. On the beach. In summer. West Wales. THIS IS the most appropriate soundtrack. Especially if a pub's involved. <3

I would say the best album of the year yet would be The Tempest by Insane Clown Posse (ICP)

I'm gonna throw the album "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" by the Foo Fighters in there. Plus there's one due to come out soon by an Aussie band named Small Mercies called "Beautiful Hum" that is set to be brilliant (I happen to be in the filmclip for their latest single ;D )

I'll second that, Granpuff. Icky Thump makes me very, very happy.

Rock isn't dead. Jack is Zepper than Zep. Meg has the nail on primal drumming. Bliss.

I'd say that Liverpool 8 by Ringo Starr is really incredible. I bought it yesterday and was blown away by its awesomeness. The title track is great, especially since it reflects on Ringo's career with the Beatles.
