An artist who I expect to go places in the future. Some dynamite stuff out there now, and with a new album coming out, who knows what's next. So, why not give him a thread on SIF? Must say I like his stuff. Some good lyrics, and great hooks.

I met Mark some time last year, and he's got to be one of the nicest, down to earth people I've come across. I've still got a video of him doing a live acoustic set in an Indie Record shop in Glasgow, which I've uploaded to the computer. I'll post it this weekend for the enjoyment of members here. His acoustic version of Moody Blues was excellent, even got a little nod in it!
Absolutely brilliant singer/songwriter, can't wait for the new album either. I've got some rarities of his work too from a Schools Tour, and he seemed rather taken aback when I took them up to him to be signed! He told me to keep an ear out for some of his old stuff, it could potentially be making a comeback at some point. His dad/manager and I both told him he should be trying to include it in his sets, and hopefully he will at some point.
If you ever get the chance, go and see him with his band. They are amazing, my mate Jamie and I went to see him supporting Ocean Colour Scene and were totally blown away. I've never enjoyed a live gig more in my life, I went in to work the next day still raving about it. Mind you, Ocean Colour Scene could have learned a few things from Mark, mind...! They weren't my cup of tea at all, and there was a nutter behind us who kept grabbing us by the arms and thinking we were windmills! "Come on boys, smile!"...At that point, us "boys" were miserable cos we couldn't get through the crowd toward the bar!
We got to meet Mark after it though, and we had a good chat with him, his dad/manager and the keyboard player in his band. Really good night, and I've still got his manager's number! Memorable times!
Apart from that, look out for some Ryan/Mark Joseph pictures this weekend as well as the Mark Joseph Live in Glasgow video!

Moody Blues has to be one of the top 5 songs pop songs written on my MP3 player. Besides on the most 25 played on my IPod it now says he is at position no. 8 out of at least 800!

Right, here as promised is Mark Joseph, performing live on an acoustic guitar in Avalanche Records in Glasgow City Centre in February last year. This was part of a tour to promote his last single off the Scream (II) album, Lady Lady ( as you'll hear when the film starts and throughout too!). It's a 25 minute video, and he's peforming seven of the ten songs on the Scream album, so it's a worthwhile watch! I hope you enjoy it! Mark Joseph - Live in Glasgow 2005 - ExcluSiF

Around the release of Lady Lady last year, Mark did a series of publicity signings at small indie music shops. I was lucky enough to meet him at one of them and then got invited to see him supporting Ocean Colour Scene, here's the pics! After the Ocean Colour Scene gig L to R: Ryan, Mark Joseph, my flatmate Jamie Mark recently messaged me on MySpace and it looks like there's going to be some more gigs, publicity tours etc to coincide with the promotion of his "Bringing Back Those Memories" rerelease in May. Anyone interested, keep an eye on the website! And even if you're not, but live in the UK - buy the record when it comes out in May! It'll be the only one I'll be buying to do with England and The World Cup!

Jimbob: He's 25 year old, mind you, he does look really young for a guy of his age! Must be like my family, we age slowly/well!
Jake: I hadn't met Mark before those pictures were taken, they were between February and April 2005. Haven't had the pleasure since, but with the promotion of the "Bringing Back Those Memories" rerelease, hopefully there'll be a chance meeting!

The part of the globe in which I live, this does NOT exist which is a shame, these are the songs I like;
Moody Blues-First of these songs I heard, first heard it on an MV on the fansite by Christopher I think, what happened to that one BTW. Bringing Back Those Memories-This is one of the best songs by this guy. The River-A nice moody song, for some reason this song speaks to me, probably because it vaguely mirrors some parts of my life so far Fly & Get Through-Though I have no comments for these songs, I like them.
It would be nice to see this guy down under.
