Recently heard Weird Al's "Hardware Store". Learned the lyrics, but can't sing the darn song fast enough.

BTW, 'With Legs Wide Open', 'Star Wars Cantina' and 'Will the Real Slim Shady Please Shut Up' are not Weird Al songs, but are usually considered to be. Speaking of other parodies not by Weird Al, my friend has a parody of 'A Whole New World' from Aladdin. It's quite disgusting, but it's funny as hell.

Recently heard Weird Al's "Hardware Store". Learned the lyrics, but can't sing the darn song fast enough. Neither can I. I can't even understand half the stuff he's saying. Oh well, Weird Al is the only "Real" music I listen to, and I think he's the greatest thing since Alaric's parodies. No one seems to respect me because I'm a huge fan though...

Anyone know where I can listen to Albuquerque? Sounds like a great song but unfortunately I don't know where to hear it.
EDIT: Cancel that, I found it eventually. "I had my tray table up" and The Weasels-On-My-Face Ditty had me rolling around laughing so much I had to stop the song.

Just wondering - is "Don't Download This Song" the first song in which Al swears? Of course he's made several references to things that certainly wouldn't give his songs a U rating but this must be the first time he's used an "actual" curse word.

What does he say? He's said 'cr@p' in Couch Potato and EBay, but what does he say in this one? I haven't been able to here it, and I can't download it.

"Crap" isn't a swearword, at least, not in the Brits' dictionaries... it's merely a synonym for "rubbish" or "junk".

Well, it is considered that over here is Aus, mainly as an inapropriate term, and is not allowed in our schools. Is it the same over there with the word $hit?

Sh1t - One of the Flagitious Three; you say that you get a whipping. Crap - Not swearing, just considered "bad" language.
Regarding the actual swearword, according to the lyrics (and the actual song, if you listen hard enough) Al says "You cheap bast@rd!" as the song fades away. It's obvious he says it whilst fading deliberately but still this must be the first time he's ever swore in one of his songs.

I like his stuff as it can be quite amusing. Stepneydudette sent me 2 of his tracks through MSN and I can't stop listening to them as they are so funny. Stepneydudette sent me Hardware Store & Albuquerque.
