I don't mind Team Rocket as a pair of villains per se, but here's something good I've been thinking of. Maybe a totally new team of villains who once knew Team Rocket through some means have heard of their constant failures against Ash and co., and decide to give Team Rocket the boot and take their place, much like Lord Zedd did to Rita in the 'Power Rangers' if you think about it.

That's what I'd probably do for the show. Have a completely new bad team take over the lead bad guy roll.
also am I the only one who prefers James' original bad guy voice to his current one?

Both voices suit James, IMO, but there was something I liked about his voice in the first few episodes. It made him sound creepy.

I agree that James' original voice (done by Ted Lewis, who later went on to play Giovanni and Tracey) was better. He sounded more sinister than what he became later, and you could take him seriously as a bad guy.

I think James's voice was supposed to change. He first sounded like a british villan then he justs sounds stupid.I always thought james was gay. When he tries to fool Ash and co with his disguise he always dresses like a women.
I always hated meowth. he's a cat version of Scrappy Doo. I remember Totodile sounded like Donald Duck and the guy who voiced Totodile voiced Donald in Ducktales. Another annoying thing that happend in Pokemon was Ash used to give away loads of his Pokemon but I got fed up of this after he gave away Squirtle. I was once a fan of Pokemon and I don't like it now. Was it true that Ash gave away all the Pokemon he had in the new series but kept Pikachu? That reminds me how transformers jumped the shark. All the best characters were either killed in the movie or rebuilt (E.G Megatron was built into Galvatron). But it was Optimous Prime who was the only character to be in the 1st episode that hadn't been rebuilt. The creator had no intention of brining him back from the dead.
Who's seen Rôjin Z and Yami no shihôkan: Judge. I don't know the English titles. Are they any good?

Time I offered my two cents about Team Rocket
Ekans and Koffing. While it seemed like a good idea to evolve them into Arbok and Wheezing respectively, it got kinda boring when they turned up in later seasons. Oh well, I doubt the makers thought they'd get past one season when Pokemon was first made, so I can sympathise with them. Hence it was kinda cool when they were replaced by Sviper and Cacniya (did I spell thos right, I haven't played any new Pokemon games lately...)
Anyhow, I didn't like the aspect of Ash giving away his Pokemon either. Why did he have to give away Haunter, ghost Pokemon, in my opinion, are the best Pokemon ever (because they are resistant to some attacks and can inflict heavy damage). I also dislike the fact that the makers are re-using plots from earlier seasons, especially in Pokemon Advanced (James even references this in one episode, about being in the same situation again, I can't remember his exact line). I was also especially displeased when Ash let all of his original Pokemong barring Pikachu stay back in Pallet Town. I've always knwon Ash as the trainer who left town late and has always been lagging behind, but I didn't think he'd go that far.
Don't get me wrong, I still like watching Pokemon, first anime I ever watched in Britain, and it was also how I became interested in Nintendo.

Team Rocket Positives: Personally, I believe Team Rocket (meaning Jessie, James, and Meowth. Wobbuffet should die painfully.) are the only good part of the current Pokemon series. SURE, they've used the same plans over and over, but I never got tired of seeing them dig a hole in the middle of a footpath, cover it up, and wait for Ash and Co. to fall in. I don't think that they do that anymore. Am I right? SURE, the cross-dressing got a little bit tedious, but wasn't it hilarious how even when they could have just had James dress up as a man and Jessie dress up as a woman, they still switched those roles around? I don't think that they do this anymore either. Am I right?
Negatives: Throughout Johto, they slowly got rid of Jessie and James's Pokemon until only Arbok, Wheezing, and Wobbuffet were left (Meowth doesn't count, as he was always more of his own character, rather than a mindless animal slave to the superior intellect of humans.). Then, almost as soon as they reached Hoenn (sp?), they get rid of Arbok and Wheezing. Also, as mentioned before, Team Rocket apparently no longer cross dresses or digs holes in the middle of footpaths. They only build giant robots and wear insulated clothing (Rubber blocks electricity!).
However, these negativities are nothing compared to the bleak and meaningless lives of Ash, May, Max, and Brock. Actually, take Brock off that list. Brock's cool.
Also, James is not gay. He is a mentally confused, purple-haired man who enjoys cross-dressing. 'Nuff said.

It's a pity that everything about Pokemon these days seems so shabby and lacklustre. Stuart It's not all bad. The animation is now done digitally, and looks way better than it did in the early days. Can't say the same for the music, though. The American dubbers of Pokemon replace most of the original (and far superior) background music and replace it with stuff of their own. In the early episodes, they generally left the music alone

But it was Optimous Prime who was the only character to be in the 1st episode that hadn't been rebuilt. The creator had no intention of brining him back from the dead. Then thousands of screaming children wrote in, demanding that Optimus be brought back, and the producers brought him back. This tradition of killing off Optimus and bringing him back (as well as Megatron becoming Galvatron and then becoming Megatron again as soon as the next series starts, just to sell some repainted Megatron figures. ) must stop!

So many Narutards these days....it's going to be the next "pokemon" . I've seen some of the earlier episodes and it didn't catch me. ...Now about Pokemon, I think it's about time they scrapped Ash and co. and make way for a brand new cast to feature in a new world/league. Heck, this is Ash's third league (I think it's 4th now in JApan)....it's about time he won the damn thing. The new episodes lack originality, but you cant blame the writers, it's up to episode 350+(i think) so there bound to recycle plots. I think Pokemon would attrct more veiwers if it was an adventure series (like Digimon) were every episode something new happens instead of the everyday 'meet character, beat teamrocket' episodes. Anyway for those in America, did you all catch up on all the greatness of the Ghibli festival on TCM?

Has anyone else heard of the new series 5 of Digimon?
I've seen some pics of what the new human character might look like, and they look more teenagers. Not to mention that they look more Anime then the past 4 series.
Hope they play this series in Australia as I'm kinda interested to see it.
