Great job, Captain Punjab! You are a skilled animator, and the writing and character design is funny. Is Poseidon's appearance supposed to represent Bluto from the Popeye cartoons, perchance?

Did someone get any ideas from reading or seeing "Old Iron"...or is it just Dennis trying to get away from doing work again?

It's been a while since I posted here. I need your help! As part of my weekly engagement at University, I had to create an animation based on the theme of "Tchoki", the mascot of my tutor's animation studio (Pew36). Not only that, it's part of a competition they're holding. I need as many views as possible before December 1st, as the competition is based on view count. Direct LinkThanks, and enjoy!

Here's a blast from the past, at least for me.
This Scuffy The Tugboat story came on a video cassette I remembered as a child, containing 2 other stories, also on Youtube (What Was That? and Theodore Mouse Goes To Sea). If anyone ever watched this before, I recommend a new watching: it's such a nostalgia trip.

Perchance it is not dead, but sleepeth...
I'm bringing this thread back to life once more, with a video I've been working on since October 2012. It was my final major project for University and it got a quite respectable mark - let's hope my overall degree mark is around the same level.
Anyway, here it is: Matthew's Penguin Army

Hey everyone, last month I worked on a Charity Film for WaterAid portraying one of Five Rockers. On Tuesday of this week I found the final edit had been completed and uploaded onto WaterAid's YouTube channel and its also going to be shown at this year's Glastonbury Festival:
To those that have me added on their Facebook - see if you can spot.
P.S. Just to clarify, I'm not pressuring anyone to donate for this cause or anything like that - that's purely your choice, like with 'Children in Need' (from reading a previous post I know that's not what the forum is for). I'm just showcasing what someone from the forum has done in terms or media work aside from anything related to Thomas & Friends or TUGS.
But all the same, I hope you enjoy it. It was a lot of fun to do, and only took one day to film the whole thing but was quite a laugh to look at afterwards (though it did leave some of us really sore afterwards).

Are they any fans of Every Frame A Painting here? Tony Zhou makes these great videos analyzing filmmaking, and directors and how they shoot, etc. It's endlessly fascinating if you're into cinema. Here's a great one about Buster Keaton to help you get started (trust me, you won't be able to stop at one).

So as mentioned in the shout box, I've recently done another stop motion animation which is a 10 min piece (The limited I was given) for my Final Year at my university. Unlike before my animations were produced with limited materials, props and time to properly set up the story. This time however I had the time to make it. So for the last 3 months I had been planning, building and animating this project with very little assistance. All you see in this film is hand made. Only 3 items in this film were ready made but the rest was made from scratch. With personal family events taking place as well as constant stress from the University, this has to be my most stressful project to date. I only lost my temper once during the animating stage and this resulted on me smashing my camera remote against the wall before I calmly resumed with the spare remote. Note to self: NEVER use wire-less remotes again when doing stop motion, the stress will be unbearable to handle a third time round. My greatest thanks go to animation company Mackinonn and Saunders who have been a great provider of information when it came to prop building and background information and my biggest thanks is to famous Irish musician, Phil Coulter for granting the permission to use his track "Coultergeist" in this animation. So anyway, I hope you enjoy my film. PS There are some hidden jokes in the film too so see if you can spot them. Some Assembly Required (Click here to watch animation)

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of Baman Piderman, but it's an animated series on Youtube that is my religion. Not really, but it is really good. It's a show that seems very crudely animated and simplistic in story, but the stories actually do get very nuanced and complex, and you have to watch it in order. Here's a compilation video Mondo put up a while back of the first 20 episodes or so. The animators have left Mondo and are working on the show by themselves but it takes them a long time to make, so they haven't updated it in a while. Enjoy (I guarantee, first minute you'll be confused, but a couple minutes in, you'll be hooked).
