If I had my way, I'd prevent "Challenger" from taking off...and thus blowing up. If I may add the Apollo 1 fire, Soyuz 1, 11 and Columbia to the list as well.

Good one. When I finally get around to building a TARDIS, I'll go and give that fellow a big old slap around the chops, and also demand to know how he can hate people unconditionally while calling himself a Christian. Uuurgh.

[/li][li] Prevent the Apollo Hoax [/quote] There was no Apollo Hoax. Kaysing's so-called "proof" has been scientifically debunked over and over and over--have a look at www.clavius.org, or perhaps www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html for some enlightenment. The only thing that needed to be prevented was Kaysing et al. publishing their ridiculous claims. And to answer the question in your sig file, yes, Kaysing was crazy when he said we didn't go to the moon.

I'd prevent certain tragic events like the VT shootings, the Holocaust, and 9/11, and a few others.
And just for the heck of it, make sure Operation Market Garden (a failed operation in WWII that intended to drive into Germany and have the war over by Christmas) was a success, cuz then the British and Americans would be in Berlin, not the soviets.
And I would try to prevent TATMR being released into theaters, i'd try to make a straight-to-video release, and Britt Allcroft wouldn't be fired, and then we might have still have the good Thomas we had then, and not the crappy we have now.

Prevent the Yankees from ever winning a World Series, each time on some extremely painful collapse or other plain dumb-luck happenings (a la Bucky ****ing Dent, ball rolling through Buckner's legs, etc.)
Prevent Britney Spears and Paris Hilton from ever becoming high-profile celebrities, having careers, or doing anything worthy of news.

SeriousStop the election of Tony Blair. Stop Vladimir Putin succeeding Boris Yeltsin. This may be controversial given recent political events, but this is more to do with my simply despising the Putin regime. Add more lifeboats to the Titanic.Stop the election of George W. Bush. PersonalGet Boris Johnson elected to No. 10. With him as Prime Minister, anything's possible! Bribe Doctor Beeching. Try alter the outcome of the Battle of Bosworth. I'd just like to see what Britain would have been like without the Tudors (rotten history hogs). Actually, I'd alter all the defining events in world history; be it the Fall of Rome, the Norman Conquest, the Reformation, the American War of Independence, the Napoleonic Wars, the two World Wars, etc. Not out of my actually wanting a different outcome (I'd hate to see the Nazis win WWII). It'd just enable me to render those downright irritating "what if" scenarios of history null and void.

After visiting the battlefields, momuements and final resting places of the Somme, I'd have to say World War I.
The unessecary carnage of millions, especially the lives of young people with their full life ahead of them...and for what? To show who was the better side?
9/11 also would be a major one, with Ryan really summing up the reasons in that post. We were thrown into fear after that, and nothings comforted us...

Here's more from me:
Make sure the 'Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' had a happier ending and finished the show there. It's getting on now.
Not had Tony Blair as Prime Minister
Done away with all this stupid Political Correctness. I'm sure it's what started the trend for everything which made our country great being abolished.
Made sure another book had somehow been written about the Mountain Engines.
Made sure that the Summit Hotel at Snowdon was in top condition long ago.
Had Thomas taken over by Cosgrove Hall. I'm sure they'd do a good job of his show; they have with 'Postman Pat'.
Fineto for now!

RMS Lusitania: Set a bomb up in the U-20 Submarine, blow it up, and make sure the liner never sailed on her fateful 1915 voyage that shocked the world and ended the age of innocence.

It didn't exactly end the age of innocence. Over in Europe the First World War had been going on for quite some time.
In any case, I don't believe there ever was an age of innocence. People have always been searching for new and better ways to kill each other.

SeriousAdd more lifeboats to the Titanic. They couldn't even launch all 20 in time. One floated off half-swamped, the other floated off capsized. I'd have filled them to capacity. Serious: No 9/11 No 7/7 No war in Iraq Personal: Portugal would have failed to qualify for the 2006 world Cup. Petr Cech saved from Kuyt, Gerrard etc. in the Champions League Semi last Season. Cech & Terry would not have been injured last season.
